Actually, the way I see it is that dogs 🐕 will always be puppies 🐶 because you always have to care for them. They wouldn't be able to care for themselves on their own. So, they do grow, but are still puppies 🐶 and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I was once told by a dog trainer that dogs hate citric smell. but my GSD loved apples and oranges. During winter time, every night after our walk, we would sit in the backyard and share one or two sweet Japanese oranges newly picked from the tree. I miss him so much.

I always wondered if I can give my german shepard raw meats like chicken. So I'm curious what would be the requirements of the meat before I give it to my baby.
I think that as long as you don't cook it, they should be able to eat it. When you cook bones, they get brittle and can shatter into little shards that can do some serious internal damage. Like perforation of the esophagus, stomach, or bowel.
You can go to your local butcher and see if they will sell it to you and yes the stuff that those German Shepherds were eating was raw because that's how dogs eat their fresh kill in the wild. Be careful if you attempt to feed raw meat to you dog because it could make it sick especially if the dog was raised on store bought dry food , always check with your vet to see if it's ok to try it cause some dogs that are raised on prepackaged dry stuff will have a bad reaction to raw animal meat.
