It's a strange feeling. Many of your best songs, like "Troopie boy you won", "Zimbabwe Ruins", "Old Zimbabwe Ghost" and others are so beautiful... yet, I'd rather they never had a reason to exist. Salute to all the Jobs, blue or brown. They truly gave the devil a hell of slap.
Even though I am a young lad, I cherish this song alot. Ever since I learnt of Rhodesia's greatness and John Edmond's splendid songs. It's made me very happy, when I am older, I will buy a Rhodesian flag to show my solidarity with the great nation of Rhodesia!
Thank you mr Edmond for these Troopie songs. I was born in 90's but my interest in history (especially military history) has brought me here. As a Finnish "brown job" myself i think no matter the flag we serve we all sometimes wish we were "blue jobs".
All I can honestly say is that video deserves more than it ever has. John Edmond is a criminally underrated musician who makes astounding music showcasing his love and devotion for Africa and his own homeland, especially in a time when it was once the continent's greatest nation.
