This song, this melody......when I heard it for the first time, I thought: what the heck!? For me it was the same with "Can I play with madness" or "Tailgunner": it grabs you by the collar and you must listen to this anthem! Carry on.

Richard Taylor sounds more "in" into the band now as on the debut. Plus the whole band sounds more "together".

It's amazing to me that Steve, at 62 years old, is so driven that he put together a side band to IRON FUCKING MAIDEN, and plays clubs in his off time! Especially with a bad back...he is truly a road dog to the end.
That said, I'm not a huge fan of British Lion. Just not my thing, but I admire Steve's passion for music.

This song don't need Bruce, as much as Bruce's solo work don't need Steve on bass.
However, Maiden needs these kind of songs - to the point and ridden of endless repetitions plaguing their material the last 20yrs.

Very good track....I can hear a Maiden influence on it..A lot of people are down playing it but remember, Bruce had a lot of songs that sounded very Iron Maidenish.

Steve has his bass tone dialed in perfectly on this track - sounds like the powerslave bass tone - love it. Hear it much better than on some of the recent Maiden releases. Where is Richard Taylor from? He sounds more like he's from Berlin than Britain. Has a Klaus Meine twang to his phrasing. Anyone else think so? Can't find anything on his background. Sounds good... just saying.

I like this British Lion the way it is..Shit my Favorite Dickinson vocals are from his solo project "Skunk Works"and also love Adrian smith's solo project "Psycho Motel.So let Steve Harris do what he wants on this solo project..

look. Richard could easily use different styles of singing, more crispy, growling whatever. but his style in British Lion is obviously intended to sound clear and easy. thats all. maybe Steve wanted it, who knows
