SF is my fav fighting game franchise. I've been playing since SF2 was in arcades. I remember our dad giving my brothers & myself each a quarter to play, while he grocery shopped. When it came out on console we were all hooked & have been paying every since. It's the G.O.A.T. in fighting game.
Blackton Obvious! How old are you
@@MortyJKNorthphilly probably about 40-45
I am 34 years old. My biggest regret in life is not playing Street Fighter IV when it came out and sticking with it. I play SFV. But, I know I missed great times... I really want to go back in time I feel as if I am living a bad dream...all bcuz I missed out on the SF4 days...
There's a great Facebook group called USF4 Revival that's still keeping the SF4 scene going strong. You can arrange matches with players from just about all over the world.
Chewmandinga that's where I must go then. But it won't be the same as being there in 2009
OmAr LiVeS Bro,Street Fighter 4 was the best of all. I play SF5 online and I enjoy it,but they made major changes to the game that I hate.
OmAr LiVeS unfortunately you are right....i jumped in right when SSF4 dropped and wow its been amazing and sfv is kool but i can honestly say it doesnt compare
Paul Mora they want it to be easy for new comers like me to get in! I don't want ur help capcom!
I saw two little kids playing a SF 2 arcade cabinet at a show and realised just how great this game is♥️
a lot of these street fighter documentaries are pretty self indulgent but this one is manages to avoid that. good job, I enjoyed watching this.
It's great to be able to go back and watch these moments. I didn't really care for fighting games during this time frame so watching them years later for the first time is very insightful. Thx
AE was a very exciting time for sf4 for sure. Lots of new faces showing up and creating upsets. Do you play many FGs now?
@@chewmandinga5487 excuse the noob what is AE? (Aracde edition?) I play darkstalkers (badly) SFV (badly) and I have tonnes of other ones that I just give a try once in a while from guilty gear to blazblue and all the rest. I do like fight sticks and moddimg them so I have three at the moment with a 4th on pre order. I watch Justin Wong's TH-cam videos when I don't see him live. I also like Punk. I played SF2 when it first came out on arcade and then on SNES but never got anything better than extremely basic levels of okay at them. What do you play?
i like how Justin plays that off like "oh that was cool" instead of "wtf?! holy shit!! are you f'ng kidding?!?! you can do that?!?!?! fckkk!!!!"
Recognized several people in this that i've met (famous names and some unknowns even?), but the guy who stole the show was Juicebox. Although a fan of Street Fighter, he's a far more better and skilled at KOF as a player. but it was cool seeing him in this buildup to Evo 2011 though with all his thoughts and mannerisms at these tournaments in this documentary.
Why do people have to get mad and talk shit to play harder, tho'? I guess for some people that's motivating, but like... not for all of us. I could see it as a means of building a viewership, but to drive you to self-improvement...? I guess that works for some people, but one of the things I like in the fgc is when the person who beat you helps you get better with critique and encouragement. Is this liberalism, or just sportsmanship?
It's a driving force called salt. You can get mad and turn away, get mad and turn to violence or get mad and channel that salt into a furnace of self improvement.
Justin Wong "People think I'm a dick, idk why"
Also Justin: "YOU GONNA LEARN TODAY!"
😂😂😂
"Hey wow, this guys black..."
Let me guess, he typed 'whitely' on the net and therefore he was surprised when linking IRL...
This timeline Fuudo was The Bride and not always the bridesmaid.
OK doc, but I would've liked a bit more focus on the SF2 tournament scene from the 80's and early 90's with interviews from old school legends like Tomo Ohira, Jeff Schaeffer, Eddie Lee, and Kuni Funada.
Really excellent documentary!
I dig recovery, from low bar# go for WiN can accomplish quite gm-master.
Street fighter 6 should be looked street fighter 5 but with all the charictors from street fighter 4 and more
There would be no SF2 without a SF1
I was really good at the original street fighter 2. Then championship edition. The last version i tried was the marvel one
Ultra supper street fighter 4 is still the best street fighter game
Grew up on SF2 turbo on the SNES but my fav has to be Alpha 3 on PS1
What is the music at 59:31 please anyone?
It's the Japanese version of the original Street Fighter 4 theme "Indestructible".
Cheers mate!
30 years from now, these modern nerds will be the Billy Mitchells of the future.
09:40 fuuuuuck, Logan Sama...what pupils? hahaha
When I think of wrestling I think of Hulk Hogan, not John Cena :o
I think of MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAAAAAAAGE!
Brett The Hitman Hart! :-)
The Undertaker
55:05 dude was one hit away from death and currently in the animation of a throw which stunned him but he still took the round anways and he Lost?! How embarrassing for that dude
His reaction after losing
He knows what hé did wrong
And what hé needs to improve
you dont have to get angry to play better.
Yeah. I think what they’re trying to say is that you need a drive to get better or something like that
"we had no idea cuz the internet was so bad back then" LMFAO what does that mean
Internet at that time was just regulated to chatrooms which means you didn’t know much about the person you were communicating with unless you directly mentioned it
Who are the idiots that dislike this film?? If you don't like it, don't watch it.
26:19 "combofiend is a hero"? lmao
The Chun Li vs Ken match where they are wearing all white looks like they just left their wedding, maybe their hillbillies.
Sonic fox is a ledgend
Lmfao this guy compares EVO to a cocaine addiction. I'm going to this guy for my next 8 ball fix.
Who is the chick at 41.50?
That’s a man
1:12:06 song ???
MegaBLOOD90 it's a remix of Ryu's Ending from the original SF2 series but I couldn't tell you the actual name of the artist
Jon Holmes did the music for the film, but I should have the tracks kicking about on an old hard drive somewhere. If I find them, I'll upload them somewhere and you can download them :)
Thanks

Oh boy that Juicebox guy is one cringy fella
Knospe he’s autistic. And was a great Abel. 👍🏼
juicebox sucks these days
I never seen an Asian before with an English accent I'm just amazed
I didn’t see any Asian here with an English accent ? 🤔. Only Ryan Hart was from ENG.
@@prawnk1ng 10:15 is an Asian with an English accent
Cocaine lol
sfv is such a pile of garbage compared to this game
Blackbean Burger what game lol which one
Elliotte Rodriguez sf4
SF5 is a pile of garbage period. Shouldn't even be considered a SF game tbh.
Blackbean Burger ... I know, right?? Like, I've been playing Street Fighter all my life and when I first tested the controls for Akuma in STV, I was like what the fuck is this??
I wonder if Justin still dating that girl
