You're absolutely right about what happens when you speak about things you care about. All of sudden you become more confident and trustworthy and you stop being self conscious.

Awesome advice, James. I'm about to start a music channel where I'll be performing my songs. Every time I'm scared of how I look, if my voice is good enough, etc. I remind myself that I am there in service of the songs, not to become a *star*. I believe in the things I am singing, and if I focus on that, rather than on how I personally will be judged, then I won't have anything to fear.

James, I'm all with you. I have the right mindset and frame - and this week I've pushed myself to do some livestreaming to really force myself to become comfortable to speak in all situations! However, I tend to get some brain shutdowns when I all of the suddenly tarts thinking about what to say next; any good sugestions for increasing my flow?

Working on this. So true. If you are passionate about what you have to share with the world, there's no reason not to be confident when sharing it :)

Really great stuff James. I think your set-up is really good too the distance from the camera, your position in the shot, and your eye contact. I'd like to be able to present in a similar fashion. Thanks.

Thanks for this awesome video! But what is really hard for me is being myself in front of the camera while i want to speak english with a good accent when my mother tongue is Greek-Cypriot. It kinda makes me feel awkward because sometimes i can't spell a word correctly and it drives me mad :p

James, Great video. You are right but really, this fear is hard to overcome. Right now, I'm challenging myself getting on video But to me it is hard to get the lightning right and especially not to stumble over words since English is not my native language ;-) Still I guess I can master it with a bit time

Thanks James. But most of all, to the great comments below. I usually read the comments before I watch a tutorial. If they say it helped them. I'm in too! And they were right! Good stuff. I haven't gone in front of the camera yet except for my old boxercise videos I made over 16 years ago. It's cheesy by today's standards. It was new and exciting when I made it. But youtube wasn't around. And Taebo came out and blew me away. Would anyone want to see what boxecise can do for aging when you keep it up to age 70 and beyond.? That's what I am passionate about. Even if nobody else is.

Do you have a video about using the text box link overlays on videos? I was told they were only possible for outside links if you've monetized your channel.

How about taking us through a real life case study -- start to finish -- from approaching a new potential customer, the type of marketing that you do to get that customer, through the actual video and the results? Thanks James.....love your videos and training!

The best way to combat nerves in front of the camera is
    A) To be prepared B) Lock onto the content (with passion) stay in the moment
    C) Practice-Practice Practice-
    D) Be committed to delivering the information-Place more importance on the information and shift the attention away from yourself.-
Remember you are not the star the content is.-:)

great advice but its falling on deaf ears look at all the actors now out there still rigid still stiff as a board.they move with know purpose or intent.they make busy movement cause they dont know what to do with their bodies. probably instead of talking about it you could make videos that demonstrate instead.use your actual body instead of your words
