Yes! Just ordered mine. Trim tabs was going to be my solution but I'm glad I waited because now I'm getting something specifically manufactured for this boat. Thank you!
Just received mine. Very fast shipping. Thank you. The trim tabs are beautiful quality pieces! Installing the tabs was pretty easy. BUT, getting those damn Nyloks on was a freaking challenge! 😂
Hey man I just installed these on my black jack 42, as well is your cooling upgrade, I’ve seen video of people mounting trim tabs flush with bottom of boat, I installed them the way you did with a gap at the bottom, that doesn’t effect performance or anything?
Just ordered, thanks mate. Sad the hull design needs them but hey a solution is a solution. Would using the backing plate as a template work for drilling the holes?
They work very well. All I had done in an attempt to resolve the porpoising issue was a combination of moving the batteries forward and back and moving the prop up and down. I did get it pretty tuned in but it would still flip or I would have to move the batteries so far forward the boat didn't really want to plain. The trim tabs did the trick. They should be included from the factory.
No thats not quite right, as you know they arrived in canada a week after you ordered and they were lost in canadas postal system and we refunded your money

You can just put a drop of loctite on the bolts so they lock in the threaded backing plate and not bother with the nuts
@@RCBoatBitz That would have been too easy. 🤣 lol.... Nyloks already installed. ☺

No because the height will be off, just do it how i did
So you don’t use the plates?
How do you like them since you have installed them a while ago? Do you get a lot of drag with these?

You are very brave for drilling holes in your boat. Im scared to do anything to My TFL zonda i just got.
Watch my video on installing a jet unit, drilling holes is nothing
@@RCBoatBitz i guess its like anything you first do in life. You are nervous first time but after that you get the hang of it.

Just the cheap bathroom stuff
What trim tabs part # are you using for this application?
