I have a bone to pick with the lady who blamed prostitution for ending her marriage; The prostitutes didn’t do that to you. Your husband did. Blame the one who’s actually at fault.
She was she had a very tough childhood but she was a very sweet girl. I gave her a talk about dumping her pump cause no one needs assholes like that in their life
I think that might be an unfair point. It's the 90's, where there was more modesty in society than there is now, which explains the hostility and negativity towards the women who choose to be prostitutes. People in today's society have become so sexually "free", "liberated", and desensitized to sex and sexual acts, that the audience comes off as hostile, rude, and belligerent, but it's the society of the people of that time. I mean, think about it. The escorts on stage would be seen as modest in today's society compared to many of your average men and women in today's society. Look at the difference in clothing as an example. It just goes back to the times they lived in vs the time we live in currently.
The only people doing something wrong here were the ones, who were shaming others for selling sex. The first and third were clearly doing well, and they had chosen a profession, which made it possible for them to study and raise a child without working 80 hours a week. The second were a victim of adults' abuse, but that was not her fault, and it was no reason for anyone to speak to her with anything but kindness and respect. The former prostitute was SO annoying. If she wanted them to leave prostitution, being condecending is not the way to do it.
@@Raztiana she thought she was in the right, hell, the audience and prolly home viewers, thought she was in the right. We always need to extend grace to others because we’ve all needed grace extended to us.
@@perfectlyimperfect9129, there may be other ways to earn money, but not one that gives them time to see their children and get an education at the same time. Also, you do know that no mono-theistic religion has karma included in it's lore, right?
I personally don't see how people say prostitution is degrading to women....it's not a female only job...there are also male prostitutes....but yes, there are more female prostitutes than male prostitutes. But as long as you consent to being a prostitute (ie, not being forced by a pimp or sex trafficking) there is nothing wrong with it. It's legal to sell things, it's legal to have sex, so why is it illegal to sell sex? No one is forcing someone to PAY for sex, people are willingly making the choice to pay for a prostitute when they feel the need to do so.
It’s called having standards and not being nasty. You wouldn’t marry or be with long term partners with a woman who’s had more turns than a door knob would you? 🤮
Does anyone know if the writer of Ricki’s theme song: Jellybean Benitez has a record with this opening theme plus the slower theme before going to the commercial break and coming out of the commercial break back into the show? I’m interested if you have a link. Thanks!
Is it? We’re real conditioned over certain things. The biggest killer is probably alcoholism over anything else. That’s legal, more accessible and more people are hooked and dying on that where you can find an off license (liquor store) on every corner of a poor neighbourhood. Supermarkets sell all sorts of alcohol and pubs and clubs and all sorts of bars. That’s most dangerous.
All these women laughing and hypocritically claiming prostitution is an excuse not to work as if $425 isn't two weeks' worth of work for a lot of people (if not less) at this time. Not only that but prostitutes do not "lose marketability", or get "worn out". There are women in that profession who are pushing 90, get so fucking real. Being concerned for their safety and well-being does not include judging them for working the broken system. A large percentage of sexual activity is violent in nature, but it doesn't mean we need to shame people for making their living wtf. And as a side note, acting like regulated prostitution isn't viable is simply a lack of logic.

Most women don't get to that level Because they start to support drug habits.. the women who reach the * higher levels" are usually those who don't have an addiction . That's the simple/only difference most of the time. If your trying to get high & walking the corners for $$ yes something is 10times more likely to happen. Not all walkers use though, but it's a small portion. Most females who do it & are clean will move up the level very quickly. For them it's like running a business, where as for drugs it's all about " hitting a lick*. No matter what society always looks at the bad end of the spectrum to make rules. You cant do that, basing the rules everyone will follow off those who have essentially hit rock bottom. It hasn't worked and never will work. An example is. Marijuana, America wasn't keen to legalize. Now they have and they can regulate it like a proper business. The issue was never really was it a hard drug, the issue was always they felt they would be legalizing and promoting those who sell on the corners & cause chaos/violence, gangs that get in the business & harm people etc those people are always gonna be there even if something is illegal. Making everything illegal simply excludes those who do the right things & want to follow a standard. It also makes it even harder to control because instead of having those who are " authorized" to do it and following a standard guidelines/laws, every individual who does it becomes a "criminal". Makes no sense and it wastes a lot of time/money.
