Went to school in Wakefield so nearly everyone was a Leeds fan growing up around me! They used to play with grit, determination, bite and tenacity. Truly an outstanding team back then. I echo the sentiments of the fellow above, was an absolute shame Ridsdale messed it up. Don't think O'Leary should of been sacked either for finishing 5th that year, he had some massive injuries to key players & it was just the pressure of missing out on that CL money really.

Lee Bowyer was class, but he never quite made it on Tyneside mostly because, like Hugo Viana, he was playing in a decent side competing with Kieron Dyer, who was the established number 8. The thing I like about Bowyer is he has accepted his wrongdoings. He never makes excuses for them. Nobody is perfect and we have all made mistakes. If you can accept your faults and learn from them, that is the main thing. But as a player for us (Leeds) he was class. Always gave 100%! I say this as an Asian as well.
