    I love all your tutorial videos! They’ve helped me so much in my own quilling projects! 💕

    This is a terrific tutorial. I have seen a few videos on how to make these roses, but yours is the first that shows it so well! Others go way too fast. Yours pauses and shows details so we’ll. Thank you

    Some people say bend it forward, I try that, I couldn't do it that good. I tried the backwards I could do it a little bit better😁 I'll tell you what😳 it took me 11/2 hour to make one stinking rose😁 and it didn't look that good😂 my paper was frayed so I loaded up with glue but I'll keep on practicing. PS, yesterday was my first time trying the quilling thing.

      I do have a bunch of videos using fringed paper. They are pretty much all flowers though. You can see the playlist here if you're interested 👉 th-cam.com/play/PLzKBIFJkUl_NJI4RH--aaBpox8gEEmJCZ.html

    Well son of a gun! I used to make these for our horses' decorations out of ribbon and NEVER thought about paper working with it!

    Hi , Im learning some quilling skills and love the look of these roses but I am not having any luck. When you fold back and turn do you try to keep the top or bottom edge in line? I am struggling to have roses that dont just end up like a spiralled wrap on the quilling tool. Any hints?

    • @ThePaperyCraftery
      @ThePaperyCraftery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tend to hold my flower in place with one finger on the hand that's holding my tool and folding with the other hand. That can help the flower stay in place (you can see what I mean in the video around the 2 minute mark). It's ok if they spring out a bit while you're turning them or when you take it off your tool. You can always add a bit of glue between the layers and press them into place. I hope that helps!

      It does look easier.....until I try it. My rose unrolls but I guess I will have to practice more

    16 inch strips made tiny one?

    • @ThePaperyCraftery
      @ThePaperyCraftery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the beginning of the video, I say that I'm using 24" paper, but I tear off 8" and use that to form the first rose. That is also more than you need and I demonstrate how to tear off any excess after the flower is made.

    Thanks!, what size of quilling paper did you used in the video?

    • @ThePaperyCraftery
      @ThePaperyCraftery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are 1/8" wide strips and varying lengths.

    This is much faster than trying to use those pre-made flower strips that Amazon sells. I still haven't figured those out and they give no instructions!
