My Dad became a trucker in the 1960's after he came home from the Army. In 1983 he got a brand new Kenworth cab over. I would go all over the country with him on summer vacation from school. I can literally still smell the new truck smell in the cab. Dad drove for 39 years and one night while we was getting ready for work he just collapsed and had a seizure and we found out he had inoperable brain cancer. After Dad passed away, l had to go to the DOT award ceremony to accept my Dad's one Million Mile Accident free award. I loved my Dad very much, he was a good, kind man and l am so proud of him. Love you Dad, Thanks for everything!
@@crystalmontoya86 Thank you for sharing this video ❤ , i have a good friend who was a Truck driver, he's in hospital with cancer and has only day's to live. 😢 . He's only in his late 50's . Too young to die, such a nice, great fella. Thanks again for sharing this video 👍🙏 . His funeral will be like this video.
My dad passed 4 years ago,he taught me everything of value that I know and was my best friend,I spent the last 12 years of his life looking after him every day,he is sadly missed, but believe me,it does get easier with time and I know they would not want us to be sad, your dad sounds like a great man and I thankyou for sharing and expressing your feelings in an honest and heartfelt way,my best wishes to all, stay safe, from,Auckland,New Zealand.❤🙏🙂😉
What a fitting tribute to a trucker. I'm 63 years old & got tears in my eyes seeing the flat bed with the casket & ALL of those tractors following along. Wonderful choice of song, too! Rest in Peace, Trucker!
Oh my crying eyes 😭💔 My husband passed away 6 years & 7 months tomorrow and he drove a big rig for over 28 years. This song fit our family, our 3 children always said this was their Daddy's Song. He is greatly missed. Our grandchildren will forever hear of the stories of their "BUMPA" and his time on the road.
Tears started to run down my face as i watched this video. My dad was a trucker and i know the long hours and hard work they put in as a trucker. Thank you for this video. May he rest in peace. Much love and respect from North Carolina
My dad just passed away in November and I wish we could have done this for him. He want so bad to go on one last trip. He drove for more then 50 years he just stopped a little over a year ago at 73 years of age. God bless our trucker family!
We did this for my daddy same music he's be gone 20 months, and was still driving at 82, I miss him so bad, and I miss taking those trips with him when I was a little girl, and still went when I got grown. He taught me how to drive that big beautiful 359
Denise, I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Every single trucker out there deserves a tribute like the one in the video. He took care of his family and did something he adored for 50 years. It sounds to me like he was a great man and, I know that he is resting easy now up in trucker heaven shifting gears in his new rig with our lord and savior. May he rest in peace.

This is so heart wrenching I was on the road for 6 yrs with my ex and I know what you all go through. Very dangerous now days with crazy ass drivers not respecting you drivers . Ty for all you all do.
I somehow stumbled on this just like quite a few others. I lost both my parents in this past year. This hit me way harder than I thought it would. Happy to see Covid didn't stop people from paying their respects.
After watching a song by johny horton(the battle of the bizmark)and then,Red sovine(phantom309)then (mama teddy bear song),like you I stumbled on this, somehow, but I am sorry for your loss,I had my dad go 4 years ago, spent every day of his last 12 years lookin after him, what a mess I was in,but like you will do I got thru it,your parents wouldn,t want you to be sad,and it takes time but it does get easier,I wish you all the best, and my prayers are with you, stay well, keep your head up,best wishes to all, from,Auckland,New Zealand,❤🙏🙂😉

Greetings from Ireland. Hope you're all well? Loved the film Convoy - googled the terminology & what the film was actually about - very interesting. Daft as it sounds even gave myself an (honoury) "handle" (hope that's the correct terminology!?) of CB66. Never knew this was an actual tribute given to those truckers who passed away - its very moving R.I.P. I've seen it for fire services. Stay safe 😘🇮🇪☘️
Seeing this brings goosebumps. It's such a beautiful way to send the driver home to the highway in the sky sorry for the late shift your friend and father husband and brother .
