I kinda agree that this isn't exactly the mirror image of the much wilder Helloween but it's still pretty dang great. Iron Savior provides the dose of straight forward heavy metal we needed.
Holy #@$#%#%^@ this band is AWESOME! This new singer of theirs is straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon from 1987. This is very very good. I dig the fadeout/solo at the end here.
Oh, so this is an old Helloween song- no wonder it sounded so much like the lads from the Pumpkin Patch! Piet does a good job with this cover- it's almost as good as his cover of Seal's "Crazy".
Anyone know if these bad boys ever make it to the states? I was shocked recently when I found out that these new power metal bands to make it over here. Iron Savior's website never works though.
Good cover, but I still almost prefer Helloween. You need that keyboard in there and Kai's screams. I think the best would be if Gamma Ray would do it. Then you get the original Kai Hansen singing (there's no substitute for Kai Hansen!) and a tighter, clearer performance. That would be awesome.
Every Maiden fan who bashes Helloween for "copying" 2 Minutes to Midnight for the Phantoms of Death riff, needs to listen to Flash Rockin' Man by Accept. Now THAT is a striking resemblance. And FRM was released two years before Powerslave. Phantoms of Death's riff may resemble 2 minutes a bit, but it's still nothing compared to how much Maiden borrowed from that particular Accept riff. (And I'm not saying this to bash Maiden, I love 'em too, but EVERYTHING they've done is not unique)
It's really close as far as which version is better. They're both great and Hansen's version is unusually above average compared to others he sang. I LOVE the guy and think he's quite possibly the most underrated person in all of heavy metal but he wasn't a good singer.

this version has a modern production, I liked the original production better, it had a more organic feel.
? ? ? = Live the Way is open ! ?
@CassiusChrysanthe Doesn't sound similar but i like it :P.
No, it's a cover, it's suppossed to sound like where it came from, and you didn't even get where it came from correctly.

No bassist where is the bass
This is pure win. all other songs, even the original version are utterly and completely inferior.
