  • So our first incubation didn't go as planned but we hope the process shown helps with your first incubation!
If you'd like a video showing how to control the temperature and humidity let us know!

Hey Grace, it sounds like there may be a factory fault. Try plugging into a different power source to see if it makes a difference. If not, I would recommend contacting the provider.

I think this incubator just struggles to reach the right temperature because its so big and made of plastic i recommend putting a separate humidity and temperature guage for me it is showing that it is cold even at the max Celsius being 39.5 converting to 103 farenheit max it got to while at 39.5 was around 99.7 farenheit which is still not hot enough but maybe covering it with blankets and covering some holes in the incubator it can reach what it needs around 100-102

Turn your CA level to like -1 and it should heat up more. I realized that by putting CA in negative, it got hotter

I covered with blankets this recently and it definitely helped. Had 4 hatch so far 😊

Yeah it works for sure it just needs the little humidity and temperature guage so you can monitor it . Have one in the top floor and one in the botton , and i also check the middle of both floors and closer to the walls of the incubator to make sure its not too hot or cold , temperature should be at least 99 towards the wall and 101-101.7 in the middle right under the fan , as long as it does not stay at a constant 102 in the middle it should be good because 102 is hot for the chicks and i dont put any water because it rains a lot where im from humidity should be around 20-30 in the first 18 days , after that add a bit of water untill the top floor hits atleast 60 humidity and check it constantly so it does not drop low and whatever you do DO NOT open the incubator its not worth saving one chick because all the others will be affected and could get stuck to the shell , only way you can open it is if its super humid inside and you can be super quick in opening it fast and closing it fast , this way i only had like 10-20 eggs that did not hatch out of the 112

I would also like to add that the incubator is very unsafe for the chicks in both floors because the top floor chicks can get their feet stuck in the fan and the ones in the bottom can hit their head on the spinning fan , i would recommend putting tape where the top floor is covering the fan and poking small holes in the tape to allow air flow and for the botton floor , the fan can be covered with like a metal mesh or something that has holes in it so it allows air flow and wrapping whatever you put there with wire so it stays in place so the chicks wont hit their head on the spinning fan i learned this the first time i used the incubator because a chick in the top floor got hit with the fan , he was bleeding a little bit but he made it thankfully.

The humidity is upto 70% without adding water 💦 how to make it 55-60% any suggestions please?

That's a tricky one, you can try opening the incubator slightly to let some of the humidity escape but keep an eye on the temperature as you don't want that to drop too much. I hope you come right!

Try placing a barbecue stick in the lid and the incubator to allow it to pass through or reduce the humidity. This is what I did and it worked.
