    First off, thank you for sharing this video, very helpful, wish I would have viewed it earlier, lol. I am in the process of putting together a 12v system with a 5.5 everflo with 200ft of 1/2 flexzilla and a ST510 gun set up. I'm on a budget, so I'll be batch mixing and my goal is to do roofs from the ground/ladder. Trying not to step on roofs if I don't have to, after watching your video not sure if it will cut it or not. Thanks, Joe in SW FL.

      If I can make a recommendation;
      I used to do Christmas lights in the winters and spent a lot of hours crawling along the edges of roofs and generally doing some very risky and dumb stuff to make money. However, experience has taught me that while being ON the roof is scarier, it’s also much safer than a ladder. Roofs don’t slip and fall over. Roofs don’t suddenly sink into soft ground, and roofs don’t shift with your weight. And if you do lose footing you can just lie on your back and your shirt will catch the tile. Stick to the spines and peaks and roofs are actually quite fun to work on.

    I did order a 24v pump 10GPM North Star ,yesterday I’ll try it on my existing hose reel. I believe it’s a 1/2 hose on a maverick soft wash system. I’ll keep you guys, it comes end at the end of the month. Because remember when purchasing equipment make sure you get the stainless steel aluminum real the manifold inside, the real will be stainless steel will take longer to corrode than the metal reels . Make sure you do your research on the diameter of the manifold inside the rail. Are you gonna order a half inch or three-quarter inch?

    Hey, great videos!
    So I’m just finishing my 12v setup (Delavan 7gpm 100psi, 3/4 drop stick and supply in/ out, Eley 3/4 hose reel.
    Most comments here seem to be: use 5/8 for feed hose to gun. Weight difference aside, would the gpm & pressure still be higher using 3/4 for the feed hose vs using 5/8?
    Anyone actually compare both sides? I’m looking for the best distance without overworking my pump.
    Appreciate everyone’s comments on this channel. Great learning resource!

    • @YoungAmbitionYA

      I would run 3/4 from IBC bulk head to the manifold. You might need to reduce the 3/4 to 1/2 since most manifold are half inch, or just buy a 3/4 barb to 1/2 male npt to replace the 1/2 bard currently on the manifold. I'd rub 3/4 from the manifold to the pump. I will try to post a short video on this tomorrow

    Hey buddy, love your content. I used to live in a place called Clifton Park in the 90s. I worked at Albany County Airport. I have a trailer with a 10
    gpm being built. Should be done this Friday. Anyways I'm building a softwash out of a 5.5 pump and a 30 gallon container. Do you reccomend the 5/8 garden hose or the 1/2 hose for that paticular everflo pump. i expect it to go out rather soon but its a way in the door for roofs and siding so I can put a tad hotter mix than I can downstream with. thanks. good luck and keep up the great vids.

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      hey! i grew up in albany and do a lot of work in the clifton park area! i would recommend plumbing your tank to your pump with 5/8 or 3/4 hose (you may need to get a 1/2” barb to 5/8 or 3/4 barb adapter/reducer since your 5.5 gpm is likely 1/2 in and out. plumbing this way from your tank to pump allows maximum flow to your pump, it will prefer to pull through a larger hose pulling larger volume of water. this also saves you money and time in the future. if you upgrade to a 6 or 7 or 8 gpm pump you will need to have a larger feed hose anyway.
      from the pump to your reel, and hose end, 1/2” works well on a 5.5 gpm pump. i have used a 5/8 on a 6gpm flo jet pump and liked that a lot too

      You don't want those tips. Not enough flow you're going to burn up your pump. Google jrod. They're the metal tips. Usually comes a 4 set. 3 fan options and a shooter or 2 shooters and a fan. Should have options for a 5gpm jrod. That's what you want

    Hey bro quick question. Building 12v system now. I know you aint about Everflow but its where I'm starting. Am I good to use 1/2" suction hose that supplies 200" of 5/8 flexzilla hose?

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think 1/2 everflo in/out ports with 1/2 from tank to pump and then 5/8 to wand will work well. Someone recently left that comment too I believe after trying it. The flojet I use has 3/4 in/out ports, 3/4 tank to pump, 3/4 pump to reel then 5/8 to wand. The pump by design wants more feed and more flow. 1/2 might not produce enough to work the 5/8 properly

    • @stevanhoffman4240
      @stevanhoffman4240 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@YoungAmbitionYA yes after researching i see where whatever the size the pump port is, you should double the size of the suction hose. I also learned that if you use any type of garden hose fittings on the suction side, it increases the chance of air being introduced into the system.

They got me started with getting some jobs in my first year on the side of my regular job, but they are super sketchy and way over-priced compared to flyers, hangers, yard signs, postcards, etc. Especially the "Opportunities" section. Lots of bad "opportunities" that cost $56 for an address and email of someone who won't answer you because they've had 5 calls from 5 contractors in 20 minutes 😂

    Seriously, I gotta get 5/8 or maybe 3/4 hose for my twin 5.5 setup, 1/2” hose ain’t cutting it… one pump or the other will always jog on/off and I tried adjusting the pressure switches too, still no go! Needs Mo-Flow baby!

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Let me know 😂. I think 3/4 will be quite heavy to move around full of water and sh, especially 150 ft. 5/8 isn't bad but is significantly heavier than 1/2

      @tomuzagregv.8300 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, good thought! I’ll try the 5/8” hose first😊
      Part of my issue may be different pumps (5.3 Remco & 5.5 Everflow… got another 5.5 coming). Hell, worse case, if it doesn’t pan-out, I’ll give one of the 3 pumps to my son to batch mix with and use one for a transfer and just go back to a single 12v setup but, I think the 5/8” hose will help even with a single pump.
      Edit… I love experimenting with these type things anyway. 😁
