My wife and i arent real big on autos were in chicago but its not that we just like feeling the knife action and not to big we do want to get our hands on that button lock massdrop though great live feed earlier and great review!!
Yes! Glad you reviewed this blade. I'm like you, I. Not really into autos but this one for sure caught my eye. Really cool looking blade. I like the overall profile and color combo of the knife. Glad to know it's worth the money. Thanks man
That "own but not carry"' is my CA reality as well.. I mean I might still carry my autos, but of course I wouldn't do that.. I love this little SBR, and I hope to add one to the collection. As always man a great overview and review.
Everyone that's ever held by TR-3 has nearly dropped it, even after telling them to make sure they have a good grip. The snap of the TR-3 is just insane.
Diddo to everything u said esp. making it a manual like Mordax....I had the same reaction as ur son🤭. Love switching it to my left hand makes me feel ambidextrous🙌🏻.....Thank u Brian👍🏻
I love Protech auto's and have a couple. I live in AZ so everything goes as far as knives. I will say that I do prefer carrying push buttons of late. The massdrop Mordax and Spyderco Smock are in the rotation and really like both of them a lot. Not only that, people freak out when you open a auto. Please Protech......make more push buttons!!!!!
😖Not street legal where I live and not exactly cheap, but it was either this at a premium (just under €180 makes this my third most expensive knife🤑) from a European store or a Quiet Carry Chase with added shipping, taxes and import duties (putting it in the same pricerange🤬). But in a strange kind of way that makes me even more excited to be getting this little knife😁
I love my protech runt, with the clip removed. I keep it in my pocket organizer. So I've been having my eyes on this but that's way fatter behind the edge than I'd like... I've been spoiled by the MT ludt being my main work knife.
I’m with you here in NY and I wrote Protech and asked if they would make a manual version of this and they said Les George owns the design and would have to ok a manual and at this time there were no plans but who knows in the future. So maybe if enough of us New Yorkers ask for it maybe one day they will make it. I would love to get my hands on the auto too. Love the color way.
I'm a tad confused. I THOUGHT, please forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't we allowed to carry an auto knife to and from fishing and hunting in upstate new york??

Get the ZT0900 if you want a manual. It’s same knife profile. Flips like an auto. I will never sell my 0900. It gets lost in the shuffle but it’s one of my all time faves

Man this is the EXACT color scheme that I wanted! But I looked literally "EVERYWHERE"!!! & could NOT find one! Not even my 2'nd choice which was,, the Blue with this beautiful Acidwashed/Dark stonwashed blade! So i had to settle for the BladeH.Q. exclusive DessertWarrior color scheme...
I truly don’t understand why people say they won’t carry autos outside in states where it’s illegal. Do you understand that if you were to use any knife in self defense, you’re still going to have a bunch of legal trouble? I live in NJ, I carry a microtech everyday. It’s a tool for cutting things. I think the need for a blade you love outweighs the risk of getting caught with an auto.
I want a TR3 but I live in a own but can’t carry state and I have a boker auto but I’m not willing to spend the money on a Pro Tech auto I can’t carry.
New York applies too many rules statewide, as if people in Utica or Elmira or Binghamton or Buffalo share much in common with people in the five boroughs.
Price is actually $169.95 most places.
Ya can NOT argue with that price for this Protech SBR AT ALL!!!
Les George’s blade shapes are iconic!
been waiting to check one of these out! Nice knife! I could see a manual being a big seller for them too! Thanks for the review!
Reminds me of my ZT 0900...
If Protech ever makes the SRB manual, it'd be a guaranteed home run!
Protech, hurry up and take my money dammit!
Looks... purposeful! And agree on the OD green - very nice.
That's a beauty. Can't go wrong with Protech. I love my Magic Whiskers and TR3.
Can't wait to get my hands in one of these BEAUTIES! Thanks for review buddy!
Very nice I believe I would take that over my microtech LUDT. Thanks for the video my friend hope you have a great day.

Bought one about 5 hours ago. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Looove my SBR-- solid, simple, no-nonsense, and a better build than the regular size which has deployment/lockup issues.

Loving my protech sprint!
Had to buy one of these. Looks beautiful.

Always liked the original design, nice smaller version. Love the recessed screws on the clip.
Textured version is only textured on the show side. Doesn't affect pocket-ability. I love mine!
Protech is def on my list. Seen one for 149 at gpknives

No button lock. Not the same.
Slicey Dicey
I know. It’s much better and titanium instead of aluminum. Same blade. I stand corrected
It definitely is a nice knife, but I have a lot of framelock flippers.
Sweet knife

Have one great knife for hard use

I wish you would have made that last “Happy as” statement...lol.

Would you compare this knife to the Kershaw launch 11 which one do you think is better which one do you like better
Fun fact SBR was originally intended to stand for “short barrel rifle”
Do you have this still? Willing to sell?
You still have this one? Would you like to sell it? Been looking for a green handle for a while
Good review. I bought one of the very first versions of it. How does it compare in size to the Half Track?
About the same in length. Half Track is chubbier.
I NEED to find someone I can trade my BladeH.Q. exclusive DessertWarrior S.B.R. for This exact color scheme on the one in this video/review!!!
Damn I wish I could one free

Protech, offer this in manual and you get our money 💰
Oh yeah and i watched some comedy, lmao but were sure you could care less 😆
Such a stupid law...what is it supposed to prevent in terms of criminality. DUMB..
Your guess is as good as mine.
