I is so liberating to own our natural hair color. It is the best choice I’ve ever made. When people tell me you should tint your hair. I answer why. I love my silvers. I respect people doing whatever with their hair, but I want to see my natural hair. I had not seen it in decades, now I’m loving it. I love your hair color, texture, and style.

I stopped dying my hair one yr ago & now 100% natural gray at 47 yr old. It's been a lot of fun once it grew out!

As a professional hairstylist< And someone who also died their hair for 15 plus years and had to go though the same grow out process (but from blonde)I want to say it looks great. Here’s a tip: do not put the blow dryer so close to your hair. There is a metal grate on the end of the nozzle that heats up and when to close to the hair it will cringe your hair. If your blow dryer came it’s a plastic nozzle attachment ( a concentrator) definitely use that if you are going to get that close to your hair.

Love your hair! Thank you for all the transitional haircuts very helpful! I’m only 3 and half months into going gray! I too have thick and curly hair. I’ve decided to cut my hair shorter so as to get a jump start on this journey! It’s been very hard letting go of getting my hair colored every 3 to 4 weeks! However I’m totally done with the whole process not to mention the expense! So looking forward to seeing the end result!

I agree with you! I had been dying my hair for like 11 years, because I was convinced that I would look ugly if I didn't. My first hairdresser told me so, and I kept believing it. I finally let my hair grow! And I love it! Hate when hairdressers are telling me how I would look great in non-natural hair.

I started last year. I still have alot of growth before mine is all natural again, as I had my hair colored to blend so as it grows out it wouldnt be as drastic looking!
No more paying $90-$100 to get my hair color treated! Silver / graying hair has totally different structure and is more brittle, so like you I try not to use heat and also use a purple shampoo for gray/ blonde hair! I LOVE Biosilk shampoo and conditioner, it cleanses my hair without stripping it and leaves it very shiny and healthy looking! I use my hubby’s fructis leave in conditioner also! On day two, I use the biosilk silkening to keep the shine and frizzies at bay( Cannot wash my hair daily, scalp is way too dry for that!) I usually dont detect oils on my scalp before 3-4 days! So in winter months I dont shampoo as often as summer months!
Thanks for sharing! Your hair is beautiful, Naturally!😊

I have the exact same type of hair as yours. Natural curly/frizzy hair. I've been growing out my gray for two years now. I don't have as much gray in my hair as you but it's very similar. I decided to go natural because I started loosing a lot of hair my hair used to be as thick as yours, but now I have like a third left. Your video made me feel a lot better about my hair, you look stunning with the gray. I am embracing my hair from now on. Thank you! Love from Denmark

My hair is very similar to yours...very curly and the same length. I discovered the Revlon Volumizer hair dryer and it is amazing for straightening. It takes me about 9-10 minutes to go from damp to shiny straight...no flat iron needed. You should try it. It grips curly hair really well for the needed traction to straighten while drying. I use it on dry hair for touch up's too.

My natural hair is white. I don't have salt and pepper so I decided to go white with dark gray low lights. I had been dying my hair black with box color. After two bleaches, now it's a Carmel with blonde highlights and she put some light brown toner on the orangey red. Anyway, I love this color I have now. Last night I warmed up coconut oil and mixed in some Moroccan oil and slept in it. After I got all the oil out I poured apple cider vinegar and equal part of water, then poured it over my hair as a final rinse. Omg! My hair was so much softer. I got the idea from Sharon Taylor here on TH-cam. It may be called Sharon Lee, sshe's changed her channel name a few times. She has gray hair. She has the prettiest gray hair I've ever seen. Love your channel, I'm also Jennifer!

I’m scared of growing old. I think I’m scared of looking old, lol! I have pretty great genes. I was just getting tired of coloring with Demi’s, not getting all the grays. I was tired of it damaging my hair, leaving sometimes a film on my hair. I’ve been graying since 19, thanks mom and dad. I just said let me see how it looks if I don’t color it for 2 months. It actually looks very nice. I do have the stripe down the middle. I also HATE seeing the line of demarcation. I will say I never permanently colored my hair. So it’s a light yellow since I’ve been washing it. I’m 43 and I’m ready to not make my hair a chore. Your video and hair are beautiful.

I decided to let mine grow out which I really liked. I have three different shades from white silver around my face to a darker grey with a little brown in it and another shade of grey in between the light and dark. I was always being asked if I colored it myself. No color, just natural, and I really liked it. Except, it made me feel a lot older. I just turned 52 four days ago but felt much older with the grey, so ultimately I went back to blond, but I love the first hairstyle you showed. Super cute and looked great on you.

My hair is almost identical to yours, except for some hair loss in the front due to medical issues. I use a Dyson hairdryer as it can make my hair bone dry and straight in 5 minutes. Or, I use the diffuser to keep my curls. It was very expensive but I got it for a recent 'special' birthday (60.) I now feel encouraged to embrace my grey hair. My hairdresser will weep as I pay close to £100 a visit for the upkeep of my highlights!

I am 53 and I had white hair since 16.
I am waiting that day to stop dyeing my hair.
you white hair is so even and could be so stylish with a nice bob.

I’ve been driving my hairdresser crazy because I keep tweaking my colour. I went from dark brown to bright copper to redder, to strawberry blonde. I’ve realised that no matter how I love the copper/strawberry, I only get a week and a half before it is rooty and I’m fighting to hide it rather than wearing the style I want. So, in 2 weeks she’ll be crazy again because I’m telling her the new plan.... I am not growing it out the brave way, however. I’m going to have her root match all over and be an instant silver fox. After that, the grow out won’t show. I’ve tried short hair and it’s baaaaad on me. My hair is quite white around my face and top of my head, and salt & pepper in the back. I’m really excited to play with the white/silver/pewter shades in an updo. So much better than trying to hide roots 3.5 weeks out of 5!

Nice video I didn't finish watching it bc I don't have thick hair and heated styling tools to style my hair is a disaster.

That was great - you're just a beauty! Both of you are... :) Nice that you stopped coloring your hair, I've heard that it can be very bad for the chemicals in it. Congrats on doing such a good job and making a great video!

Great film and very helpful. I have been grey/white for years but I dye my hair, brown, my hair is very similar to yours - texture and style. I want to go to my colour but I look so pale. However, after watching your film I may give it a go. Also, I learnt how to straighten my hair better. Thank you for the film.

It's dry because no oils in it, way too much washing, I wash mine twice a week, it's done wonders. Also apply coconut oil and leave in all day, this works too. You are gorgeous 🙂

Nice! I have very similar hair to hers, mine is fine and curly/wavy. I try not to use shampoo too much, but since letting the silver start to come through, it's a bit coarse and dry. I'm gonna try the coconut oil!

If you put a defuser on your hair dryer you'll get better curl results. Also, avoiding putting your hair up after it's dried and damp prevents breakage

you should use heat protected spray before blow dry and flat iron
plus a lil leave in conditioner will help a lot

Ever thought of getting your hair straightened with a box perm solution that you can do yourselfIt. This will rid of the frizz, or a simpler hairdo. Check how they do it online and you be so amazed how simpler the hairstyle will become. It has to be touched up after 6 months. It looks like freedom rings to me. I can't wait to put it into my hair for freedom from the frizz.
