    Yes, William Marshall did speak that way in real life. There are interviews of him with the same voice. I guess it helps to speak that way as a Shakespearean actor which he was. I think I like the feel and heart of the original better. I was William Marshall's idea to include some "nobility" in the original because if not it would simply be a n_ _ _a killing folks, but an African Prince attempting to end the slave trade gave it some black dignity, thus you find yourself empathizing with a Vampire who misses the love of his life - Luva. It just gave it more dimensions with horror as well. Good reaction! (typo: "It" was William Marshall's idea...etc)

    How on earth did I watch the second one before the first one? Well, my friend, apparently Pam Grier wasn't in the first one according to her timeline ON IMDB😂😂The way I watch films is I find a really old actor or actress and watch their whole career.
