Yeah, that floating vegetation can be a hinderance. Giving folks advance notice definitely helps in planning.

Hey there - thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate it! I have never crabbed there so I’m not sure. I have some videos to come from Carl Grey Park soon - need to edit them. I actually caught some trout there lol 😎😎. I saw those 2 large crabs at the Asbell park area so I’m sure there are some at CGP too. I would guess that the second area I show would be better - it seems more “crabby” than the first area. Stay tuned 😊😊.

Sorry - I just realized this is from last year’s video 😂😂 - I have a new CGP video I am working on from July 2024. I have a new Asbell video just out - that was what I thought you were asking about - 2 big crabs in that video - sorry for the confusion.
Is there any bridges or retaining walls that I can catch any mangrove snapper or sheepshead while im there I can not walk any rocks we are coming sept 2 and staying next to russell fields pier but want other options.
Hey Tammy - thanks for watching 😊😊! If you park on that boat ramp side of Hathaway Bridge (where the park is) I am pretty sure it is a flat pathway to the bridge. Under the bridge it is all paved sidewalk and rails. On the other side of the bridge, access is more difficult - they have a closed gate and guardrail that you have to go around/over and then it’s a little bit of a hike to the bridge. As far as catching snappers or sheepshead - I’m not sure - there is a wall you can fish and there are rocks piled up at one end of the walkway. I’ve never fished it that time of year so I can’t say for sure - the structure is there if they are around. Hope that helps.
