- Auntie Mercy is in town from Nairobi so we wanted to go visit her and have lunch with her, Juju and Ntagu.
George had to spend the day at the garage to get some things prepared for our upcoming safaris.. so it was just the kids and I trekking the muddy roads.
We enjoyed lunch and then it started down pouring again.. looks like the rain is here to stay.
Thanks for watching and please subscribe! ♥️🇰🇪

I love your videos I lived in Nairobi many years ago my husband first worked on the building of the Kenya airport then the us embassy.
I worked at the kindergarten at the cathedral then had both my children in Nairobi,After 7 years we returned to Uk but your videos take me back to those lovely days of being young.

I love your videos. Very relaxed, real African village life. No extra editing needed. Your kids will grow up well-grounded. I also love that they have very excellent apetite. God bless you all.
The sound of rain on mabati used to drive me insane when i was a kid😅 but now i crave that rhythmic clatter to relax or sleep to too
Hello the Limiri's family, that small animal is a chameleon. This beautiful kids didn't scare wow ! Love watching you. Yes George is away. Nice vlog.

Enjoyed the vlog👏.Lucas seems to have inherited his juju's genes the one in USA wanafanana
I've been on those muddy village roads after a rain fall so I know how slippery and sometimes impassable that they get. It's the first time I'm seeing the dish your SIL made and it looks tasty. I'm always impressed when I see your children eating the village and other foods. They have such good and healthy appetites and great manners too. That was such a heavy downpour. It's a good thing George was able to pick you up.
Village life is the best siz wearing unmatched slippers that's me all the time at home... Kwanza ma floaters 😅😅😅😅
Yummy ,my son loves it with fish . Mashed arrow root ,greeen banana and sweet potatoes is his favorite . Another dish we inherited from Africa.
That sounds delicious. What type of fish do you eat with it?
@@Mekenzeinkenya We use salted Cod fish ,but you can use any white flesh fish cook with onions ,peppers and tomatoes sauted in oil.
we put te fish to cook after onions and tommatoes are cook, you cook ik in oven also.
Great Vlog, so muddy, nice healthy food. Thanks for showing us life in Kenya!❤
This was such a cool vlog. There's nothing like being outdoors when it's raining.
This reminds me of my childhood days!!😊
Nice weather for taking relaxing walks 🚶 through the village.
Yes the rain on mabati is soooo soothing !! Growing up when it rained throughout the night waking up was a challenge
The kids are indeed learning a lot, experiencing each day in the village will make them soo bright and creative
☺️☺️

The village is so green, can see you enjoying food ❤❤❤ season for rain
I really enjoy watching your videos. They remind me of all the good things about the village life. The sound of the rain on mabati is so soothing, it brings a cozy vibe, just what you need for a nap.
The walk seemed far, I was tired for you guys 😂😂😂😂
Hello family enjoy your walk❤
It's enjoyable used to walk to school 15 kilometres daily. Best❤

Sooo relaxing
The kids have really adapted the Kenyan life
Its a chameleon. Hardly see those nowadays. Love all Cspe Town South Africa🌹❣️
Mackenzie, this walk reminds me of my walking routines along Kamoja road from home either to Machaku Primary or to Kianjai market in 80s. My friend Kamoja road used to be muddy and very slippery during the rainy season or flooded.
Imagine women with heavy load from the Kianjai market going past Nairiri area those days. There were no motorbikes or electricity.😮
Wow, I can’t imagine. We could hardly walk normal speed without falling down 😅
I bet those memories you have are so great.
@@Mekenzeinkenya
Sure, the memories are great and interesting too. I love watching your videos and then reflect my experiences those days
It's good to be out in nature just taking a walk it's so relaxing to the mind and body,Liam is trooper Lucas is George in looks but Liam has George personality.❤
Beutifull family and children's
I really enjoy your videos good job🎉👏👏👏👍
Thanks so much! I’m so grateful you take the time to watch 🙏🏻
Take care Ms McKenzie and family.
When you said ‘sasa’ to that old man I thought it was some Meru lady who was passing by and said ‘sasa’ to you only to realize it was actually you who said it. Your Swahili accent is coming along very well
Thanks for sharing always
The best shoes to walk with in Meru is bata bullets or bata leather boots others are left in the mud.
And in Meru you greet all the neighbors you come across. The 'umuntu' is strong. I can see you have got used.👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
You're learning swahili very fast, you always make me miss home.
Lovely to see that you have learnt to cook mukimo😅😅
I love ur channel girl...
Excellent quality video
Thank you so much. 🙏🏻
Am happy tu see ma village 😂😂
I like your hair up makes your face look prettier...softer..😊
Really like your background sound. Big love from Ghana 🇬🇭
Thanks so much. Sending love back to you. 🇬🇭 ♥️
I'm late today,,,but better late than never. Thanks for the video. ❤❤❤
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
🫱🫱🫱congratulations mama Nkirote.Soon you will know more kimeru than me😂😂😂🤦♀️
That dish similar to Matoke very yummy
The trick to dealing with the red mud is walking barefoot, its actually pretty good for your skin because of the content of that soil! And is much easier to clean!
I bet that’s very good for the skin.
14:25 I miss falling asleep during the rain under mabati 😂😂😂❤, so relaxing. It’s even making me feel relaxed as I watch this video 😍, thank you for this.
I am now turning to youtube videos of rain falling on a tin roof to help me relax and fall asleep😂😂 I'm in southern California, so we hardly have heavy rain, if any at all!!
I couldn’t help either, it was so relaxing
Hello MeKenze🥰 The children are such troopers! They adapt to whatever the situation and are happy campers. Everything seems to be an adventure even to grandma’s compound. What is the dish with potatoes and bananas called? Everyone see to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing💜🥰🙏🏾🫶🏾🙋🏾♀️
They are champion adapters.. I can say that for sure.
Thanks so much! ♥️🙏🏻
Wow I'm so hungry.
Mekenzie i know some people who pay couple hundreds for that kind of mud/clay for beauty treatments so here's a hint for next rain fall🙂 the soil there always looks so rich, there is. Swedish dish called Rotmos (mashed root vegetables) which your lunch remimded me of, the world is so different but in some ways the same
Thanks for sharing your muddy village walk enjoyed you and the kids negotiating your path throughout
Good on you
The food you were eating is my favourite. Mashed bananas and stew❤
Cooking that for dinner cant wait
@@lilianwaithira7021 I cooked it yesterday with goat stew. 👌🏿👌🏿
@mekenzi just wait for the George to pick you up guys 😊❤
It a good experience especially for the kids as they grow up.
❤️❤️
I hate those chameleons freaks me out found mostly in peas gardens or some fences.mackenze mukimo is easy just make sure the water dries up else you will drink it as uji🤣

I miss pure rain water from the tank

It looks like a chameleon...Wow, the place is raining

@@patiencemudyiwa3711🎉🎉🎉ý🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Could someone from Kenya please tell me the names of the dishes they are preparing and what ingredients they are using?
Kids grow every six moths.
That's a chameleon 😅
Is it expensing to grow a grass ? The mud is too much and makes it hard for the kids to play around
Thanks Makenze.
How long was that walk?Seems pretty far😊
Took us about 30 minutes
I miss mashed potatoes and green bananas
George is already a leader.he does not need political approval. 🇬🇧🇬🇧
