The most amazing places are those that function so well that you might easily miss what makes them so special. Walking around Amedi, you find a perfectly peaceful place, everyone going on about their life with no apparent fear or troubles in life. Few places create such an atmosphere.
What you won't miss, is an incredible city that is literally built on top of a flat mountain. Come see it for all that it has and it is !
Much more IRAQ content on my channel. I hope you will enjoy 😊
    THANK YOU FOR WATCHING !

Better write "Arameans" not Assyrians. Assyrians Dont exist. The people you call or they love to call themselves "Assyrian" are NOT Assyrians. They speak Aramaic, whose original homeland is South Syria. They moved to Kurdistan as Refugees during Middle Ages to escape the Arab Islamic invasion. In WWI Britain in a Conspiracy Renamed them "Assyrian" to fight for her against Ottomans and use them. There is a BOOK about it even: "Arameans and the Making of Assyrians" by Britain. Lool for it! These wannabes have Nothing to do with ancient and Extinct Assyrians mentioned in the Bible.

Mesopotamia is the homeland of the Assyrians.
The first known mention of the Medes and Persians, around 850 BC. BC, the Assyrian king Shalmaneser III. Attributed to (Sulmanu-asared III.). There is no written evidence written by the Medes themselves, and archaeological finds are limited. Everything that has been handed down about the Medes essentially comes from Assyrian and Greek sources (including Herodotus' "histories"; around 485-424 BC).
Around 1000 BC The Medes and Persians penetrated the area of present-day Iran via the Black and Caspian Seas.
Mesopotamia is the homeland of the Assyrians. The famous royal cities of the Assyrians, Ashur, Nimrud (Kalhu), Arbela, Dur-Sharrukin and Nineveh were built in it. The Assyrians ruled for approximately 1,300 years - from about 2000 B.C. to 612/10 BC - in northern Mesopotamia (now Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey), an ancient landscape between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. A clear reference to the existence of the Assyrians, on the other hand, can already be found in the Old Testament (1st Book of Moses 2:14).
    There it says:
    * “… the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates..."

@@SincerelyRaman Than you for this amazing video of Amedi district in federal state of Kurdistan😍The history of Amedi district is much older than Assyrians.
From Early Bronze Age until it came under the control of the Mitanni Empire in the 16th century BCE, Amedi region was part of the kingdom of Kurda and it was entirely inhabited by non Semitic Subarians (Kurdish Zébari clan).[6][7] During the rule of the Mittanian Empire the inhabitants of this region were known as Zubarians.[8][9][10][11]
After the fall of the Mittanian Empire, the city of Amedi was conquered by Ashurnasirpal I of Assyria in 11th century BCE after he fought the Nairi and Barzani people.[12] After the fall of the Assyrian Empire, the Amedi region came under the rule of the Medes. When Xenophon passed through the region in 4th century BCE he referred to its inhabitants as Medes.[13] hence the name aMedi or is derived 😊
