    Hi Todd; during this video I noticed a few things that I have questions about. It seems that what you refer to as "bumping the hips" is actually the required lateral weight shift or pressure transfer because your entire target side moves forward & not only your hips. A hip bump by itself can cause a backwards tilt & prevent the forward weight transfer thus causing a reverse pivot & fat shots. This is only my opinion but what you're demonstrating & what you're calling it are 2 different things. The forward move you make is definitely correct but not a hip bump but the weight shift in itself. It's only the descriptive terms you use that could be misinterpreted by the player. Also, your transfer of weight into the backswing is more of a lateral shift than rotation around a fixed set-up position. In my experience, the weight shift is only a minor move to the inside of my trail foot without the trail hip moving laterally, but rather moving up & back around the same fixed set-up. If the weight distribution is 60/40 & to return to the 60 position or further forward, rather than beginning 50/50, the transfer to the trail side seems to be unnecessary & more like a stack & tilt with the weight remaining forward during the backswing & only rotation of the body through impact into the follow through. Unless this video is only for seniors who might require more movement into the backswing to gain more speed, I'd appreciate your response to let me know if I'm misinterpreting what I'm seeing in the video. Thanks for your continued support to making us better players. Be well.

    I'm 63 had cancer and recently shoulder replacement, I'm trying to get back into playing but finding it hard. I'm not great at golf but I enjoy playing with both of my sons. I've recently purchased the maxvert 1 driver. Look forward to your comments.

    This is a very complete video on great recommendations to your senior golfers. I try to adhere to each one as a one of your subscribers and advocates of the VLS. I have to admit, I have not been consistent with each and will try to do better in the future! Well Done Todd!

    Looking at the people in the background practicing especially when you were talking about finish position illustrated your point perfectly.
    Guy in the grey no forward weight transfer into right leg and goes walkabout at the end, guy in red jumper holds a lovely finish knees together.
    I was actually wanting to see how the one legged golfer managed who came along at the end

    I wanted to edit my previous my comments but can't due to the set-up of the reply section but what I'd like to know your opinion of is the rhythm of the body motion during the swing. Should the chest turn at the same pace for all shots with the arms & hands being faster for more distance or does the chest turn have to increase speed as well? I'm asking due to your right-left drill where your actual swing is supposed to be a bit faster cadence than the right-left drill swings. Should they all not be the same cadence to repeat the same rhythm? I'm going to use the right-left as my practice swing rather than just a single swing to help establish the proper rhythm for the actual shot given that it won't take any longer but should be more effective. I believe I've seen Spieth do this before his shots but not sure if it's for the same purpose.

    I'll be turning 70 and still use the same swing mechanics, stiff shafts and prov1 ammo, am I lucky or is the senior change just hype 🤔🤪🇺🇲

      I'm not Todd, only a fellow player, but given your age, I'm interested to know your swing speed, only because of your use of stiff shafts. Thanks!

      @mikerodrick2430 I haven't had my swing speed checked since I was 55 years old and it was 119 at that time but I do know that my drives are around 250 and sometimes 15 or 20 yard's longer now so I would guess around 100 🤔

    • @mikerodrick2430
      @mikerodrick2430 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok, I was asking about your speed compared to the shafts you're using. I'm 71 & using senior graphite. Obviously you don't need a change. Be well.
