What Billy White & Norum pulled off here is legend ! Arguably one of the best tandems ever ! I’m a Lynch guy but I think this is the best Dokken album ! It’s truly a crime that there’s no quality video footage of this tour & it was one & done ! One of the best albums from the Hair Era !

My son and I asked Don a couple years ago if he knew of any quality video from that tour. He said he wasn't sure. Hopefully something will surface. At least we have the studio album and some enhanced video footage on TH-cam. The album is a true masterpiece. My 21 year old son learned most of the guitar parts when he was 15 and 16. We listen to it all the time. I do believe Up From The Ashes and Def Leppard's High N Dry are two of the best guitar rock albums of all time. 🤟🎸😎

You said it my friend a place and time gone,......poof 💥 😢... I mean what do you want dude, the bass player from Accept, the drummer from King Diamond both in their prime, Don in his prime still, and just a time in music when everything was magical and music still meant something to people. I am blessed to have been a teenager in the eighties and was able to live it, I regret nothing and cherish everything from that time. 🤘🏼☠️🎸

I think when your a mid sized cityyou see more of these venues but as Grand Rapids has grown over the last 30 years we have a 15k seat arena and now a 12k seat amphitheater that is being built next to our Grand River that runs right through our city. We still have a medium size venue names GLC Live that seats 2600 plus a large floor.@@stephensanchez9590

Seen Dream Theater there, for free,.. before they made it big, talked with Jason Bonham one night who was just hanging out the night before his gig, The band that night was DuBeel. Countless others. Great times for sure !

Yes and no. This was back in the early 90s and since then the city has exploded. We now have a 13k capacity arena, a 3k capacity downtown venue, the famous "Intersection/SectionLive" since 1972. It has 3 stages, main holding 1500 and now we're getting a 15k capacity amphitheater on the Grand River in 2025.@@stephensanchez9590

In 2012, Don had overcome stomach cancer, radiation treatments and vocal-cord surgery, and had lasting physical health limitations. Then he had to have neck and spinal surgery in early November 2019. There were some complications; Don's right arm and hand were partially paralyzed as well as overall weakness in his body. It's a wonder that he can perform at all. Few vocalists can hold up this long with this style and demand from vocals.
