    Hello thanks for the review! I was wondering what your thoughts are on the 0-3 and why you didn't go for that one. Seems like 0-3 would cover a wider range rather than 1-3.
    Also have you tried the 1-3 light amplifier lens? How would that compare with the high contrast one?

    • @Engearment
      @Engearment  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello! We will have the 0-3 in this here soon. Julbo sent the 1-3 for us to test, so no complaints there! I have used the 0-3 in another Julbo sunglass and it is great. But the High Contrast lens has some additional benefits for those looking for absolute detail in the terrain. I have used the 1-3 Light amplifier in the Rush and like it. It actually seems a little darker than the High Contrast. Hope that helps.

      @@Engearment For the light amplifier one did you notice anything special about it? As the name suggests it would amplify more light? I'm guessing in shaded or overcast conditions? I'm mainly road cycling so trying to find the one that would fit my needs.

      @@waynehuang736 I think the light amplifier was easier on the eyes for long distance. The high contrast really lights things up. Hope that helps!

      1-3 is still not good for evening and night, correct!? Better buy 0-3 if u start cycling afternoon till late 😮?

    Definitely not my style but i do appreciate your shades review as always Sean!
    By the way: i've never been fully convinced by the photochromic technology: my research has led me to the conclusion that it will only last for a couple of years (when it's a good lens that is) but will eventually start to become less and less reactive until it deactivates completely. And then what? You're left with a lens that's not clear but it's not really a tinted lens. And yet somehow photochomic lenses seem to command a premium whenever there's that option to get them. Salt Optics did something very similar with their collaboration with Aether apparel: those sunglasses all featured photochromic lenses and the quality might have been a bit better since the price tag was steep. Haven't seen many of those though so i cannot comment.
    What do you think Sean?

      Hey Wadsworth! I agree, not the most attractive casual shades, but good for biking and hiking! I know the degradation you are talking about. I see it often in most other companies. I have not seen it in Julbo. That is why I put the Julbo Fury sunglasses from 2020 in the video. They are perfectly fine still. Julbo just seems to make superior photochromic tech.

      @@Engearment I am pretty sure that i've intercepted your hint there Sean - about the other companies whose photochromic tech isn't up to snuff - no names of course, but i've got an idea...
      Do you have other shades reviews coming on some "lifestyle" models?
      I'll stay tuned and as always keep it up ;-)

      Just catching wind of this review--thanks for digging into our sunglasses and photochromic technology.
      @wadsworth, You're right that a lot of photochromic technology gets worse over time.That's because it's typically a coating on the lens that can wear off or scratch off over time.
      The photochromic tech in Julbo lenses is molded into the lens, so it will last for the lifetime of the lens. That also means it reacts more quickly to changing light and isn't temperature sensitive. It's also why we offer a lifetime warranty on our photochromic technology.
