Well, Attila sounds fantastic, and Ruby still sounds good after all that Hog Nog, probably Steve's Norfolk sausages that have done the trick 😊 sports mode and new tyres on Attila 🤔 come on now your Economical Rides get a grip 😊 oops you have 😅😂👍
😂 I know. RE probably came up with the ECO mode just for me and then I go and ignore it. I feel deeply ashamed James ! I probably wouldn't have bought the new tyres if they hadn't paid me for the Suzuki. As it was, it seemed like a no-brainer. Without that money burning a hole in my pocket I would almost certainly have been too tight not to wear out the CEATs first ! Found out today that the RE dealer is going to buy my Malaguti scooter too. That money will come in handy for a nice pair of RE bar end mirrors, the final accessory needed to make Attila perfect ! But after that James, it's back to being economical, I promise. Not sure I'll be using that ECO mode too often though ! 👹 Cheers James ! Keep spoiling that Mrs A ! Maybe take her for a day out to a KTM dealership while you still can ? 😛 Garry & Ruby
@@Ainsworth-Rider 😂 Well at least not until that kitchen gets done ! Apropos kitchen, has Exmouth fixed a date for doing the plastering yet ? I get 10% commission on all contracts secured during my live shows, see. 😂 Take care James and Mrs A. 👍❤ Garry & Ruby 🐕
@@DH-tp9ns 😂 Yes, they do seem to, don’t they ? I really want to give other brands a go but RE keep bringing out something I’d fancy 🤷♂️ Plus, of course, by now I have a very good relationship with my local RE dealer and am happy with the work their workshop does. If I change brands, I have to change dealers and most likely they won’t be as good as my RE dealer. But with three REs already, I think the fourth bike really should be something else, most likely purchased second hand. But let’s see how I cope with three bikes first ! 🤔 Have a great Christmas too 🎄 🎅 My Christmas should be good, now that the Guerrilla is here and the egg nog is all gone 😂 Cheers 🥂 Garry & Ruby ❤️🐕
Congrats on the new bike , seriously considering one as my Bronzie classic , and interceptor are too ‘chromey’to use on less than perfect days here in southern Austria , and the guerilla looks like it will be able to handle some gravel forest trails , have a great Christmas
Hi Timbo. Thanks. Yes, with the blocky CEAT tyres the Guerrilla would be fine on a smoothish trail. Bear in mind that the "sump guard" on this bike is normally just plastic. RE do an aluminium one for added protection as an accessory. I'd recommend getting that if you are planning on taking a Guerrilla off-road. The plastic one is likely to shatter the first time you bottom out ! Or alternatively just take it gently ! I was thinking of taking mine up a trail but to be honest, I don't really see the point. That is Norman's job and I don't see the point in getting Attila filthy when I don't have to 🙂 As I mention in this video, all of the vulnerable bits on this bike are painted, so I don't think the bike will suffer too much with winter use. The fasteners appear to be decent stainless steel as well. I think it would be a decent winter bike and should stay smart looking with regular washes. Keep the shiny bikes for sunny, warmer days ! Particularly with the Guerrilla currently being a bit of a bargain. you don't have a lot to lose by getting one. I think it is a lot of very nice bike for the money. Amazing to think that this bike was only €1000 more than my Meteor and even with the accessories €500 less than my Himalayan 411 ! It certainly feels like it should be the most expensive bike of the three ! Cheers Timbo, have a great Christmas ! Garry & Ruby
Hi Gary, great choice….I think this category is a bit of a sweet spot with decent performance, I have a Speed 400 which I find more fun than two previous Interceptors and often first choice over my Tiger. Thanks for your videos and I’m looking forward to getting back to Spain in 2025. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Hi Pete. Yes, I think that these bikes are going to be the performance sweet spot for twisty mountain roads. You can't really use the performance of anything much more powerful and of course they also give you more weight to lug about. I am hoping that the Guerrilla will turn out to be something like a baby Street Triple. If it can deliver that, then it will be the bargain of the century. I still remember how my Street Triple R felt and I think the Guerrilla has the potential to feel similar. But I will need to push it quite a bit harder before I can say that. Probably best to wait for warmer weather before getting too gung-ho with it ! But I certainly think that 40 hp is plenty on a twisty mountain road and it's a lot of fun having to work the gearbox.a bit to maintain progress. Should be a riot. I would have liked to have had the option of a Speed 400 but no real dealer support for me where I am. It is definitely another bike that seems to represent fantastic value ! Cheers Pete. Take care, stay warm ! Garry & Ruby
Marvellous new bike! I am considering adding one to my collection this coming new year as I don’t currently have an RE in the hanger. Glad to see Ruby’s sossidge supply is now replenished! ❤
Oh well, in that case, stay tuned Steve and you'll get a sense of the ownership experience. Admittedly we always think that our latest bike is brilliant but I try to remain objective in what I say. So far the Guerrilla has really impressed me. It's early days but I've yet to find anything about it that I don't like and the feeling it is giving me in the bends is pretty sublime. Thanks for watching and a special thank you of course for the "sossidges" 👍❤🐕 Take care Steve, Garry & Ruby
You chose very well, Garry. I think that all of the Guerrilla variants are attractive in different ways (one of them looks a bit slatternly, which is still appealing!), but the Cloud Silver is the only one that looks genuinely Classy. Perfect, really. Thank you for the video, and Merry Christmas to you and Ruby!
Thanks mate. Yes, it was a good punt by the dealer to get a silver base model in. The first time I tested their demo Guerrilla I said that the only one I would consider buying was the silver one. I thought that it would look smart in the metal and also I wouldn't have to have that TFT dash. Next time I walk in there, there is a Cloud Silver one parked next to the demo bike ! They obviously knew that my willpower would weaken but in reality it really did help, because I got to see this colour in real life before deciding. Not sure I would have bought it blind. But once you get it out into natural light, I think it looks even better. As you say, classy and understated. Perfect for me 😇 Slatternly ! Great word ! One I haven't heard for a while ! 😂 I think I know which version you are referring to 😛 I used the term "tart's handbag" to describe it. Not very woke, I know, but I'm old, deal with it 😛 Cheers mate, have a great Christmas. I'll get 500km on Attila before the New Year for sure. I am up to 160 already and only have another 220 to go before I have to take him to Almeria. On January 2nd I will most likely be banging the dealers door down for the first service, if the weather is reasonable ! Garry & Ruby
Hi John. Thank you 😊 Yes, I'm very happy with how the bike turned out. The colour looks better in daylight than it did in the shop and the accessories have all done their part to make the bike look just a little bit more special. I've decided that I will be getting the RE bar end mirrors because the OEM mirrors are pretty bad. I can't set them to get a decent view and I know that the RE bar end mirrors are brilliant, because I have them on Buddy. So yes, I think the bar end mirrors will be ordered soon. But after that Attila should be perfect ! Love to you both, stay warm and have a great Christmas, Garry & Ruby
Thanks you two ! Yes, this is probably my most extravagant Christmas present EVER but I guess I'm worth it ! 🤗 Should get the first service mileage done over Christmas hopefully. Have a wonderful Christmas you two and thanks for a great year of videos and hijinks ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕"Keep chasing them squirrils wiv them motorbikes of yours Uncle Jeff. Well funny !"
Attila the Guerrilla..... oh hun! (Here all week!) Looks great from the front especially low down... and in the next video, I'll be standing up to carry on the review! That is one great looking bike. Sounds good too. I'd have liked a more traditional seat but that's just my preference. All the best for Christmas and a Happy new year!
Thanks Kevin. My viewers all seem to share my excellent taste 😊. Of course the Guerrilla isn't very retro, which is what most people expect of an RE, but once you get beyond that, as a sort of lightweight street fighter, I think they did a great job with the styling. This motor should really suit this type of bike, much better than it suits a bike like the new Himalayan IMO. The chassis feels so well sorted, I am sure that it can carry a lot of speed and lean angle without tying itself in knots. If it manages that, then it really will be like a mini Street Triple, which would be a wonderful thing. I think the Street Triple was just a bit too fast for these roads, it had tons of power. This 450 could prove to be the sweet spot for riding around here in an enthusiastic fashion, I reckon 🤞 I'm glad you like Attila and it will be fun getting to know him better in the coming months. I shall keep you abreast of everything, the good and the bad ( although not expecting much "bad" to be honest ! ). Have a great Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year too Kevin. All the best from Spain ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕
Hi Quenten, thanks mate, much appreciated ! Yes, really loving Attila so far and very happy with how he looks with all of his bits and pieces fitted. The only thing I might add at some point are some RE bar end mirrors because it is hard to get a decent rear view with the stock mirrors, however you set them. I forgot to mention that in this vlog. But no biggie. I would have probably wanted the bar end mirrors anyway, even just for aesthetic reasons. I'm sure they'll be added before too long ! I agree. He makes some nice noises. I will be interested to hear how he sounds in a full chat ride by ! That video will definitely be coming, once he is properly run in ! Cheers Quent, Garry & Ruby
Lovely to see Attila out n about. That silver actually suits the bike. Ready to go with the better quality rubber. Nice mods too. When I sat on one, it is higher to sit on than MT. Look forward to future Attila run outs.😊😊😊 ❤it.
Hi Mark. Surprised to hear that it is taller than the MT but after the Himalayan 411 just about any bike feels nice and low to me 😂 I'm really happy with the Attila so far and can't wait to go for a proper long ride between Christmas and New Year, weather permitting. I am intrigued as to whether or not it will be comfortable for long periods. On my test rides, I thought that my legs were too scrunched up for long rides. But since riding mine, I am not really feeling that way at all. So it will be interesting to see how my legs feel after and hour or two. But my first impression is that it is probably going to be more comfortable than I first thought ! Cheers Mark. Ruby says you should keep visiting awesome dog monuments ! ❤🐕 Garry & Ruby
@@weemark67 The Guerrilla is at 780mm as standard and apparently they only do a HIGHER seat for taller riders. So 780mm is as low as they go without you resorting to a custom seat I guess. So what have you got the MT height down to Mark ?
@ Ah right. So the MT has the same standard seat height as the Guerrilla then ? Didn’t realise that. Officially there is only a TALLER seat for the Guerrilla, so that does suck a bit for anybody who struggles with the 780mm ! Thanks Mark 👍 Garry
Well done Gary! Looking good! Glad you didn't bin the Ceat tyres, they really are a first class tyre, had absolutely no issues with mine even on dubious road surfaces of which we have plenty here in Somerset 😁Enjoy your Guerrilla! All the best, Phil (UK) 👍
Hi Phil ! Well I'm "economical". No way would I bin tyres that I've paid for or donate them to the dealer ! There might well come a time when I can't afford expensive tyres, so worth having the CEATs there should I ever need them. I'm sure that they are fine, they have been on all of my other bikes, but just about everyone prefers their new tyres, once they've worn down their OEM CEATs. Other better known brands of tyre are probably "slightly" better in certain areas but the CEATs are a decent all-round tyre, not a problem and certainly don't need changing until they're worn or too old. I had the Suzuki money burning a hole in my pocket, so decided to change the tyres straight away. Without that money I would have probably ridden the CEATs until they needed replacing, as I usually do, no problem. Cheers Phil. I am happy to be in the Guerrilla gang at last ! Looking forward to getting the first service done at the beginning of the year and then having six whole months to really get to grips with the bike ! Happy Christmas etc. Garry & Ruby
@@economicalrides If they're taking up too much room in your garage, Gary, you can always send them over to me ........ for Christmas ☺😁 I've had quite a few bikes over the years but I'm so impressed with the handling of this Guerrilla that I will look to refit the same Ceats when these wear out. I'm sure that most of the good handling is down to the good geometry of the chassis and good 'springs', it's hard to know. A few years ago, I had a brand new Super Tenere 1200 with factory fitted slightly knobbly tyres and it handled like an absolute dream, loved it! When those tyres wore out I was talked into replacing them with a more expensive brand and more road biased set ........ absolute disaster!!!! The moral of the story in my case, is, if it aint broke, don't fix it! I will say though that the Ceat tyres on my Hunter 350 did tend to tram line a bit on groovy roads but the tyres on the Guerrilla don't do that at all, very sure footed. Anyway Gary, congratulations and welcome to the Guerrilla club! 😊 All the best, Phil
@@PAGallagher Well I can certainly recommend the RoadTecs Phil, you can't go wrong with them. The ride feels smoother and slightly more plush. They could even turn out to be easier to get hold of than the CEATs, when the time comes, who knows ? I'll let you know if I need a new home for my OEM tyres Phil, you can have first refusal 😛 You were dead right about being able to ride in a relaxed manner on this bike. My bike feels great at up to 50 mph, not noticing any vibrations AT ALL. It's just purring along with tons of power still in reserve. My bike seems to have less of a tendency to lug than the demo bike I tried, so I think I've got a good one ! Cheers Phil, Garry & Ruby
@@economicalrides Well Gary, you might be right about availability of Ceat tyres, the tyre dealer/fitter I've been using for years doesn't stock them so I'll make a note of your new tyre recommendation. Yes, it sounds like you've got a perfectly formed Guerrilla, you're gonna have some good times on it once it's had it's first service. After it's first service, you can open it up to 6000 rpm which equates to 75 mph and, TBH, I rarely find the need to take mine much beyond 5000 rpm and it still hustles on at a fair lick round the twisties. And, 75 mph on a naked bike is plenty fast enough, I don't do any more than that on my XSR 900. So, it looks like 40 HP is all you really need ....... yay!!! 😁 Enjoy your new bike Gary, I'm excited for you 👍
@@PAGallagher Thanks Phil. Yes, I think on twisty roads 40 HP is plenty and having to maybe work the gearbox a bit more than on a bigger bike just adds to the fun for me ! I was thinking the same. 6000 rpm as the new rev limit pretty much means that you can ride the bike however you like from then on, just avoiding revving it out. I don't imagine that too much more happens between 6000 rpm and 8000 rpm, so very little need to go there after 2000 km either. So in my own mind, yes, I was thinking that after the first service, I can ride the bike pretty much how I like, just avoiding getting close to the limiter until I've done the 2000 km. If 6000 rpm equates to 75 mph in top, then I can even comfortably take it on the motorway as soon as it's had that first oil change. Good to know because I'll probably be coming back via the motorway because the mountain pass is likely to be salty and/or icy at the beginning of January ! Excellent Phil. Good information and just confirms what I was thinking 👍 Really looking forward to some decent weather and all of the revs to play with ! Cheers Phil, Garry & Ruby
Congratulations on your debut ride, I'm quite envious, I haven't had a brand new bike since 1971! It seems to handle well through the bends as far as i could see, perfect roads for running in on 👍 Best wishes to You and Ruby and Feliz Navidad and all that......🙂
Blimey Ken, are you sure about that ? I would have been two years old in 1971 😂 Maybe it's about time you treated yourself to something new ? This is now my fourth new bike in three and a half years. I am very fortunate but already feeling rather blase about new bikes by now, evidently ! Funny, considering that I thought that the Meteor was going to be the last ever bike I bought, new or otherwise. Something definitely went wrong there ! I am saving a few of my 380 km ( before I have to go for the first service ) for the days between Christmas and the New Year because otherwise I will have used them all before Christmas and will have some days off but will be unable to ride it, which would be frustrating. So testing my willpower a bit at the moment. It is tempting to go for another ride but I will be kicking myself if I have no kilometres left for the week after Christmas ! Cheers Ken. Feliz Navidad to you and Grace too. Any news on the new companion for Grace ? Take care. Enjoyed seeing you in Exmouth's video of SB's social ride by the way. Good man for giving him stick ! 😂 Garry & Ruby
@economicalrides 😁 Yes, 1971! It was a Honda CD 175 in candyapple red, some boy I was with that thing when my mates had Fs1e's and Bantams! 😄 As for the new, addition, I've told them that I can take him now tharmt Grace is fit so I'm waiting to hear when I can pick him up. They're going to come down from mid-wales and meet me at gordano (m5) when they're ready. I give ol' Exmouth a bit if stick but it'll take a better man than me to keep him in line! 😄👍
@@kenbrooks7794 Blimey Ken. I think you should be the new owner of my "economical" moniker. How have you managed to go from 1971 to now without buying another new bike ? Impressive ! Have the two doggos already had a meet and greet or are you just going to give it a go and see what happens ? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed they like each other and that they go on to become inseparable ! Good luck Ken and Grace ! 🤞 I think you are doing a decent job with keeping little Exmouth grounded Ken. I can't imagine what he'd be like without your regular putdowns ! Keep up the good work mate because you are doing the world a great service with it 🙂 Cheers Ken and Grace, much love Garry & Ruby
Thanks Timothy. Good taste ! 👍 I also prefer the analogue dash to the digital Tripper Dash and barring the temperature gauge it's not really missing anything that I actually need. Very happy with it and don't feel like I am missing out at all by not having the fancy new TFT dash. Cheers Timothy, have a great Christmas, Garry & Ruby
that delay in the modes is to stop you pressing it by accident , nice of ruby to get santa to fetch in early ;;; i think i can take credit for saying this bike is better for you than the new himmo ;; you know that mountain top is my favorite , so will keep watching until the weather warms up ;;
Hi Simon, yes, I will definitely be taking Attila up there as soon as it is clean and dry enough to do so ! All new bikes have to visit Calar Alto ! The new Himalayan was not better than Norman IMO and it also vibrated too much at normal road speeds. I quickly realised that it wasn't going to be for me. I was expecting the Guerrilla to be the same, so wasn't really interested in it but after the test ride and realising that it had no vibration issues at all, suddenly I found myself considering it. The rest is history. The 411 for the trails and the Guerrilla for being a hooligan on the roads is a much better combination IMO. I think I got it right again 😇, with the help of you and my other viewers of course ! Cheers Simon, Garry & Ruby
Hi Thimbur ! Thanks ! Yes, I am definitely smitten. We all love a new bike but even being really objective, I am just loving the Guerrilla so far. A great addition to my garage of wonderful REs ! Happy Christmas and New Year to you too but I'm sure I'll get a couple of videos up for the big days anyway ! Cheers my friend, Garry & Ruby
Hi Garry, finally got round to watching this as every time previously I just got interrupted. Just so busy here (18 videos scheduled over the festive period 😳) and lots of heavy stuff behind the scenes. So, I just wanted to watch this properly and not in bite size chunks. I'm glad to see you are enjoying the riding experience and I do like the colour, still not keen on that dash tho'. This is a bike that I am seriously considering, although if I had one, it would be Godzilla the Gorilla... Original or what? 😎 I'd be happy to just have Guerrilla content for the foreseeable 😄
Hi Andy, glad you like the Guerrilla. I haven't ridden mine since this video was made, just been too busy. But I've already booked it in for the 300 mile service on January 2nd, so will hopefully put those miles on it between Christmas and New Year and making videos and stuff ! Same here. Very busy. Lots of stuff to do for TH-cam and I've only just finished preparing for Christmas. Unfortunately I haven't been able to watch your video yet but you are on my list. Hopefully I can watch a few videos tomorrow, once I get my own video finished. By the way, I'm not sure that I would bring out too many videos over the Christmas period because, in my experience, nobody watches them ! Understandable really. People have better things to do ! So Christmas is certainly not the best time to get a lot of views. Cheers Andy, Garry
Evening Scott, Wolfie and Lucky ( need pics !!!! ) I hope you enjoyed the introduction to Attila. He will feature in many more videos, that's for sure. He's another brilliant addition to my RE stable ! Cheers you lot, Garry & Ruby ❤🐕"Hi Wolfie ! Hi Lucky ! Hi Uncle Scott !"
See what happens when you go away for a couple of weeks ?! Come back and folk have made huge life changes and everything! I really must get one of those smartfone thingys so I can "keep my finger on the pulse"... Mind you, it would just be yet another thing that I cannot work, so, maybe not. Enjoy your new bike; happy riding.
😂 Don't get a smartphone CC, it is definitely the beginning of the end, you're better off without one !!! 😛 Fortunately TH-cam keeps my videos up indefinitely, so if you do miss out, you can always catch up later, so no need to panic and buy something you can't operate 😉 Loving the new bike. It adds something to the stable. All three bikes have a specific purpose and I feel very fortunate to be able to have a bike for every occasion ! Cheers CC, take care and Happy Christmas ( yes, it's coming again this year, on the 25th I believe - just a quick heads up for you 😇 ) Garry & Ruby
Hi Scott. I do have a cheap Chinese one but currently it's not required. My textile jacket with liner is still warm enough at the moment. If it gets too cold for the textile jacket, usually that's also too cold for me to want to go riding. I'm a bit soft really. I rode through all weathers in the days when I had no car. These days I don't fancy going out if it's not going to be pleasant and even if I'm warm up top, if it's that cold, then probably my legs and feet are going to be freezing. Are you back riding now ? Well, you know, weather permitting ? Cheers Scott, Wolfie and Lucky ( need pics ! ) Garry & Ruby
@@economicalrides I know how you feel...used to ride in a t-shirt year-round. Now I'm a big p*ssy I am going to get back on over the Xmas break...wish me luck friend!!! xo, Scott & Pups
Thanks HH, should be a great addition to the channel. Really looking forward to pushing Attila the Guerrilla on a bit once the weather improves and I've managed to do my 2000 gentle kilometres with him 😊 Take care and Happy Christmas ! Garry & Ruby
Yes, this is the colour I was thinking of getting before I got the hunter instead. I liked the tft, but the silver was the nicest colour by far, and the cheapness of it being the base model was a bonus. It's the same dash as on my hunter but I can't help with the overheating bit, obviously 😅
Hi Rob, I didn't like the TFT dash at all, it was often hard to read in the bright sunlight and the analogue dash has proper old school idiot lights, which are.a lot easier to see than icons on a screen. I imagine that the engine warning light will come on when the bike is running too hot or maybe TEMP will come up on the digital display. I'm sure that they will have built in something, given that this is their first LC motor. Hopefully I will never find out 🙂 Cheers Rob, enjoy your Hunter 👍 Garry & Ruby
Thanks William. I took a while to finally make a decision but I am sure that it was the right one. Loving the Guerrilla so far ! Take care mate, Garry & Ruby
Thanks Kristopher. Yes, I really like how I specced this bike and I like it more than I thought I would. It is a handsome beast ! I will just add some bar end mirrors because the standard mirrors are pretty hopeless, can't see much in them without moving my head about. The bar ends will look better too. But then he's done. No more mods ! Cheers Kristopher, have a great Christmas ! We will ! Garry & Ruby
Thanks David ! Yes indeed ! It's a bit cold to have too much fun at the moment but decent enough weather to get the gentle running in done. I am still plugging away but mindful of the fact that at 380 km I need to book the first service. Worried that I'll run out of kilometres before Christmas and will then have to waste a week between Christmas and New Year waiting for the dealer to open up again 🤦♂ Oh well. Buddy and Norman to the rescue ! Cheers David, Garry & Ruby
Hi there. I think probably not. I don't think that button does anything at all with the engine running, only with the ignition on and the engine off. Certainly that is the case with the bikes with the digital dash. But I can try it next time I'm out and get back to you. I think it is unlikely though. I think the ECU is only "listening" for that button press when the engine isn't already running. Stay tuned and I'll let you know definitively because it would be interesting if the bikes with the analogue dash behave differently ! Cheers mate, Garry
Hi Stefan. Funnily enough, the dealer called me on Tuesday and asked me if I had decided about selling the Malaguti. I'm guessing that they have a buyer or two already lined up. I managed to negotiate a price that is acceptable to me, so now they are going to buy Malcolm off me. As you say, he probably deserves to be used and abused by some spotty teenager and not being sat in the garage for 363 days of the year. Basically, after 14 years of ownership, I am getting back what I paid for him in the first place. Cheap motoring ! Doesn't seem to work like that with REs though, unfortunately. So yes, Malcom will be leaving the channel. I might make a brief "Thank you and goodbye video" with him before he goes. If I get the weather/chance to do so ! Cheers Stefan, Garry & Ruby
I’m not surprised you didn’t get any sleep after all that egg nog if I’d drank that much it would have been a nightmare like the Omen film but in yellow all over the bed, attila looks mint mate, and your road tecs looked scrubbed in already I must have done 300km on mine and they still have the bobbles on them, I couldn’t believe the improvement of the ride, over the ceats. When I looked at the Guerilla in Rennes the rear shock looked like the white power unit on my 690 Duke, that is the road you want for running in your new bike superb bumps and all. In the summer when the sun has warmed up that tarmac and attilas run in and tyres are scrubbed in we will not hear from you for a couple of weeks you will be having a blast, love it mate, Chilli says hi to Ruby and we wish you guys a joyous Noel Bon Anee, that lot in earthquake racked Normandie 🇫🇷 PS we never felt a thing.
Hi Pete ! Glad to hear that you didn't notice the earthquake 😛 I've slept through a fair few myself. People ask me "Did you feel the quake yesterday ?" and I'm like "What ? There was an earthquake ?" 😂 Yep, I'm very happy with how the bike turned out. The only accessory that I would like to add now are the good old RE bar end mirrors again, because the OEM mirrors are a bit pants. However I set them, I am not getting much of a view and no view at all without moving my head. So bar ends are definitely in Attila's future but then he will be "done". I want to keep him clean and mean and not drape too may accessories all over him ! Good to hear that it's not just me who feels like the bike rides worse on CEAT tyres. I wasn't really sure but to me my bike rides smoother and plusher than the demo bike on the CEATs. I certainly don't regret the 300 EUR or whatever it was to buy and fit the tyres. Money well spent I reckon. Really looking forward to getting Attila run in for when the warmer weather arrives. I think Attila is going to be like a baby version of my Street Triple. Should be a riot ! Cheers you lot. Take care and have a happy Noel ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕"I'm getting' treats for Christmas Chillers, saw me Dad hiding them in the cupboard ! Can't wait ! How many more sleeps ?"
Morning Garry, it’s rare to change something on your bike and be hit with a huge improvement in handling, ride quality like you’ve stuck on some Ohlins on perfectly set up, mid corner grip, and no bucking from the rear end if you gas it hard out of the bend, like I said the Ceats although they looked like they were still good we’re in fact pretty pants 😂 we haven’t got our decs up yet let alone presents for chilli, dug out our decs from the garage Sarah asked what I was doing, I said just finding the Xmas decs after I had had a sort out, Sarah said I’ll put them up later in the spring when it’s warmer 😳 crazy woman 😂😂😂😂
@@PeterHolland-mu7yn 😂 That's a great idea. Move Christmas to the spring or summer and you can have an outdoor Christmas, maybe even a BBQ ! I think Sarah is onto something ! Or as Chilli told Ruby, just have two Christmases. A traditional one and a summer one. That way they get twice as many treats. Bless 'em. ❤🐕 Have a great Christmas, whenever you decide to celebrate it, you lot ! I shall be finishing off the egg nog ( it's paid for ! ) and then playing it by ear from there ! Garry & Ruby
Thanks mate. I really like it. Not a fan of the multi-colour paint jobs they've offered so far and I didn't want a digital dash either, so this bike was my only viable option ! No Cloud Silver in Oz, really ? So what colour is the base version over there ? Does your base version also come with an analogue dash or do you have digital dash models only ? Cheers mate, Garry & Ruby
Nice bike Garry, good choice. I'm like you I hate the salt, get plenty here in Scotland, I hate the stuff, salt and alloy don't make good bed fellas. Give Ruby a stroke for me😊
Evening Douglas. Thanks ! Even though there wasn't much "white" on the bike when I got home, I did still take a bucket and sponge to the lower half of Attila and then dry him off, before putting him back in the garage. I just didn't want to take any risks. I also won't be going up there again unless it is a lot warmer and drier, which could still happen this winter. As long as the roads are completely dry, the salt isn't going to be much of a problem 🤞 Take care Douglas, stay warm ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕"Nice stroke Douglas ! Fanks !"
Well done for risking a ride out after a pint of yuk!!! I can see hwy you had no sleep after drinking all that. Welcome to Attilla. Well suited name I think. It makes me wonder now what bike you will reach for when you go into the garage.....I must admit when going down to the muff seafront having 3 can give me a odd problem...1st world problem. Loves the bike, what a cracking colour as well!
Hi Dave ! Thanks mate. Glad you like the new bike. As much as I am tempted to ride Attila every day at the moment, I am having to be strict with myself. Once I hit 380 km he needs to go for his first service. I'm at 170km already, so only have 210k left before I have to head off for Almería. Since I want to be able to ride him between Xmas and New Year, when I should have a few days off, I'm banned from riding him this week 😂 Fortunately all three bikes have a pretty distinct purpose. Buddy will be my bike for longer rides and relaxed exploration of new roads. Norman is mainly for the trails or multi-day trips, should I ever get to do one. And Attila is for the more local roads, my bike for a spirited blast when I am in the mood for a bit of mischief. I don't think I'll use him in place of Buddy at all. He is definitely my bike for getting stuff out of my system and possibly sharpening up my riding skills 👍 Take care Dave and love to the Exmouth crew. Will you be going to the Exmouth illuminations this Christmas or will you be staying in with a warm pint of egg nog ? Do let us know. Cheers gorgeous, Antoine et Celine en France
Aye, it's a fat one on the rear Peter ! Love from Spain and have a great Christmas, just in case something weird happens and I don't get a Christmas video out ! You certainly have the Christmas tree all set. Will you be taking Port or Sherry this year Peter ? Or can I perhaps send you the rest of my bottle of egg nog ? 🤮 Garry & Ruby
@economicalrides Thanks both. No spirits here, Garry but I do have a New Zealand Merlot and a NZ Pinot. Have a good Christmas yourselves and hope the weather is kind to you. 🎅
Oh. So sorry to hear that Blake. We are keeping things crossed for a speedy recovery buddy. Ruby sends licks ! Take care of yourself and get well soon mate 🤞 Thinking of you ! Garry & Ruby
@@ruahinesrider He's poorly. Diverticulitis is an ailment of the digestive system and is very painful. Fingers crossed he finds the right treatment soon. But fortunately he hasn't come off his bikes as far as I know 🙂
Well, Attila sounds fantastic, and Ruby still sounds good after all that Hog Nog, probably Steve's Norfolk sausages that have done the trick 😊 sports mode and new tyres on Attila 🤔 come on now your Economical Rides get a grip 😊 oops you have 😅😂👍
😂
😂
I know. 👹
Cheers James ! Keep spoiling that Mrs A ! Maybe take her for a day out to a KTM dealership while you still can ? 😛

@economicalrides last time I took Mrs Ainsworth to a bike dealership I came home with Bestie the Himalayan so she won't go anymore 😀😅😂🤣
@@Ainsworth-Rider 😂
Well at least not until that kitchen gets done ! Apropos kitchen, has Exmouth fixed a date for doing the plastering yet ? I get 10% commission on all contracts secured during my live shows, see. 😂
Take care James and Mrs A. 👍❤

Ah, well done Garry! Another RE followed you home. They have a habit of herding the garage don't they? Merry Christmas to you and Ruby.
@@DH-tp9ns 😂 Yes, they do seem to, don’t they ? I really want to give other brands a go but RE keep bringing out something I’d fancy 🤷♂️
Plus, of course, by now I have a very good relationship with my local RE dealer and am happy with the work their workshop does. If I change brands, I have to change dealers and most likely they won’t be as good as my RE dealer. But with three REs already, I think the fourth bike really should be something else, most likely purchased second hand.
But let’s see how I cope with three bikes first ! 🤔
Have a great Christmas too 🎄 🎅
My Christmas should be good, now that the Guerrilla is here and the egg nog is all gone 😂
Cheers 🥂
Garry & Ruby ❤️🐕
That is Norman's job and I don't see the point in getting Attila filthy when I don't have to 🙂
As I mention in this video, all of the vulnerable bits on this bike are painted, so I don't think the bike will suffer too much with winter use.
Thanks for watching and a special thank you of course for the "sossidges" 👍❤🐕
Take care Steve,
Garry & Ruby
Perfect for me 😇
Slatternly ! Great word ! One I haven't heard for a while ! 😂 I think I know which version you are referring to 😛 I used the term "tart's handbag" to describe it. Not very woke, I know, but I'm old, deal with it 😛
Cheers mate, have a great Christmas. I'll get 500km on Attila before the New Year for sure. I am up to 160 already and only have another 220 to go before I have to take him to Almeria. On January 2nd I will most likely be banging the dealers door down for the first service, if the weather is reasonable !
Garry & Ruby
Good looking bike, love the name. Have a good Christmas.
Thanks you two ( sorry, you THREE 🐕 ).
Have a great Christmas yourselves 🙂🎅
All the best,
Garry & Ruby 🐕
lovely bike Gary . like the mods you have had . i also really like the wheel spokes design . happy Christmas to you , Ruby and your mum .
Hi John. Thank you 😊
Yes, I'm very happy with how the bike turned out.
Love to you both, stay warm and have a great Christmas,
Garry & Ruby
Congratulations! Merry Christmas! I wish you many happy miles of motorcycling and good health 😊
Much love to you and Ruby, from Twinks and me ❤️👋🏼
Thanks you two !
This 450 could prove to be the sweet spot for riding around here in an enthusiastic fashion, I reckon 🤞
I'm glad you like Attila and it will be fun getting to know him better in the coming months.
I shall keep you abreast of everything, the good and the bad ( although not expecting much "bad" to be honest ! ).
Have a great Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year too Kevin.
All the best from Spain !

Hi Gary, Terrific vlog and great looking bike. He sounds really nice.
Hi Quenten,
thanks mate, much appreciated !
Cheers Quent,
Garry & Ruby
Lovely to see Attila out n about.
That silver actually suits the bike. Ready to go with the better quality rubber. Nice mods too.
When I sat on one, it is higher to sit on than MT.
Look forward to future Attila run outs.😊😊😊
❤it.
Hi Mark. Surprised to hear that it is taller than the MT but after the Himalayan 411 just about any bike feels nice and low to me 😂
I'm really happy with the Attila so far and can't wait to go for a proper long ride between Christmas and New Year, weather permitting.
Garry & Ruby
@ only cause My MT has the low seat. Which is 14mm lower.
@@weemark67 The Guerrilla is at 780mm as standard and apparently they only do a HIGHER seat for taller riders. So 780mm is as low as they go without you resorting to a custom seat I guess. So what have you got the MT height down to Mark ?
@ take 14mm off 780mm, I guess. But might get the lust racing lowering link, come spring time
@ Ah right. So the MT has the same standard seat height as the Guerrilla then ? Didn’t realise that. Officially there is only a TALLER seat for the Guerrilla, so that does suck a bit for anybody who struggles with the 780mm !
Thanks Mark 👍
Garry
I'll let you know if I need a new home for my OEM tyres Phil, you can have first refusal 😛
You were dead right about being able to ride in a relaxed manner on this bike. My bike feels great at up to 50 mph, not noticing any vibrations AT ALL. It's just purring along with tons of power still in reserve. My bike seems to have less of a tendency to lug than the demo bike I tried, so I think I've got a good one !
Cheers Phil,
Garry & Ruby
Good information and just confirms what I was thinking 👍
Really looking forward to some decent weather and all of the revs to play with !
Cheers Phil,
Garry & Ruby

Thanks Tim. Take care and have a great Christmas 🙂

Impressive !

that delay in the modes is to stop you pressing it by accident , nice of ruby to get santa to fetch in early ;;; i think i can take credit for saying this bike is better for you than the new himmo ;; you know that mountain top is my favorite , so will keep watching until the weather warms up ;;
Hi Simon, yes, I will definitely be taking Attila up there as soon as it is clean and dry enough to do so !
Cheers Simon,
Garry & Ruby
Very nice. Sounds like you're a bit smitten. All the best for Xmas and the New Year (in case we don't see you again before). 🎄🎅🍻

Hi Andy,
glad you like the Guerrilla.
Cheers Andy,
Garry

Garry - get a heated vest, etc. It makes the cold rides a blast!!!
Wathing now...lovely ride!
Ride Safe 🙏🏼

Thanks HH, should be a great addition to the channel. Really looking forward to pushing Attila the Guerrilla on a bit once the weather improves and I've managed to do my 2000 gentle kilometres with him 😊
Take care and Happy Christmas !

Yes, this is the colour I was thinking of getting before I got the hunter instead. I liked the tft, but the silver was the nicest colour by far, and the cheapness of it being the base model was a bonus. It's the same dash as on my hunter but I can't help with the overheating bit, obviously 😅
Hi Rob,
I didn't like the TFT dash at all, it was often hard to read in the bright sunlight and the analogue dash has proper old school idiot lights, which are.a lot easier to see than icons on a screen.
I imagine that the engine warning light will come on when the bike is running too hot or maybe TEMP will come up on the digital display. I'm sure that they will have built in something, given that this is their first LC motor. Hopefully I will never find out 🙂
Cheers Rob, enjoy your Hunter 👍

Attila the Hun is back i see 😛
Cheers Ruby & Garry the rider 🍻
Thanks William. I took a while to finally make a decision but I am sure that it was the right one. Loving the Guerrilla so far !
Take care mate,

It's definitely a proper roadster. 😎
Happy days!!👍
Thanks David ! Yes indeed ! It's a bit cold to have too much fun at the moment but decent enough weather to get the gentle running in done. I am still plugging away but mindful of the fact that at 380 km I need to book the first service. Worried that I'll run out of kilometres before Christmas and will then have to waste a week between Christmas and New Year waiting for the dealer to open up again 🤦♂ Oh well. Buddy and Norman to the rescue !
Cheers David,
Garry & Ruby
can you change from ECO to Performance while still riding, interested to know, the colour SMOKE looks great.
Cheers mate,
Garry
Yes, Malcolm deserves to be ridden and those new 4 stroke 50cc scoots are very slow. Malcolm is fast as 110 or 125 city scooter.
Cheers Stefan,
Garry & Ruby
I’m not surprised you didn’t get any sleep after all that egg nog if I’d drank that much it would have been a nightmare like the Omen film but in yellow all over the bed, attila looks mint mate, and your road tecs looked scrubbed in already I must have done 300km on mine and they still have the bobbles on them, I couldn’t believe the improvement of the ride, over the ceats. When I looked at the Guerilla in Rennes the rear shock looked like the white power unit on my 690 Duke, that is the road you want for running in your new bike superb bumps and all.
In the summer when the sun has warmed up that tarmac and attilas run in and tyres are scrubbed in we will not hear from you for a couple of weeks you will be having a blast, love it mate,
Chilli says hi to Ruby and we wish you guys a joyous Noel Bon Anee, that lot in earthquake racked Normandie 🇫🇷 PS we never felt a thing.
Hi Pete !
Glad to hear that you didn't notice the earthquake 😛 I've slept through a fair few myself. People ask me "Did you feel the quake yesterday ?" and I'm like "What ? There was an earthquake ?" 😂
Yep, I'm very happy with how the bike turned out.
@@PeterHolland-mu7yn 😂
That's a great idea. Move Christmas to the spring or summer and you can have an outdoor Christmas, maybe even a BBQ !
I think Sarah is onto something !
Or as Chilli told Ruby, just have two Christmases. A traditional one and a summer one. That way they get twice as many treats. Bless 'em. ❤🐕
Have a great Christmas, whenever you decide to celebrate it, you lot !
I shall be finishing off the egg nog ( it's paid for ! ) and then playing it by ear from there !
Garry & Ruby
Best colour by far. Don’t think we can get this colour here in Western Australia.
Cheers mate,
Garry & Ruby
Super ! Jak go porównasz z Meteorem ?
pozdrowienia
Naprawdę nie można ich porównywać. W porównaniu do Meteora Guerrilla przypomina rower sportowy. Jeżdżą zupełnie inaczej 👍
As long as the roads are completely dry, the salt isn't going to be much of a problem 🤞
Take care Douglas, stay warm !
Since I want to be able to ride him between Xmas and New Year, when I should have a few days off, I'm banned from riding him this week 😂
Fortunately all three bikes have a pretty distinct purpose. He is definitely my bike for getting stuff out of my system and possibly sharpening up my riding skills 👍
Take care Dave and love to the Exmouth crew.
Will you be going to the Exmouth illuminations this Christmas or will you be staying in with a warm pint of egg nog ? Do let us know.
Cheers gorgeous,
Antoine et Celine en France
@@economicalrides Exmouth xmas vid on route, no sea views but lots of pretty lights : )
@@exeterrider Oh awesome mate. I will look forward to that. Love me some Exmouth lumernations !!!
Sleep tight !

Some of Mercia Moto's chums remarked on the size of Gus's back end and I'm inclined to agree now I've seen the size of yours Garry 🙈
Garry & Ruby
@economicalrides Thanks both. No spirits here, Garry but I do have a New Zealand Merlot and a NZ Pinot. Have a good Christmas yourselves and hope the weather is kind to you. 🎅
@@Lanes-Explorer5733 Thanks Peter. Stay safe and warm and keep off the black ice please !
Much love

Not a bad looking machine Garry 👍😁🍺
@aussiebikerdude6563 Blimey ABD. Damnded with faint praise 🙈😂😂😂
Sorry, great video. I too think it's a nice looking machine. Diverticulitis again, and in a lot of pain
Oh. So sorry to hear that Blake. We are keeping things crossed for a speedy recovery buddy. Ruby sends licks ! Take care of yourself and get well soon mate 🤞
Thinking of you !
Garry & Ruby
What happened Blake you haven't come off?
@@ruahinesrider He's poorly. Diverticulitis is an ailment of the digestive system and is very painful. Fingers crossed he finds the right treatment soon. But fortunately he hasn't come off his bikes as far as I know 🙂
What Happened Blake? Hope your ok mate
