Thank you. I'm old (l0l) and we had fuses and burn marks in my bedroom closet when I was a kid and I then went on to live in older homes most of my life. So the GFCI is all new to me now that we live in a new house and I was in a quandary when my power washer kicked a GFCI. All is well again and we are back to work. Thanks for his simple and understandable video.

WOW!!! The outlet that my garbage disposal is connected to stopped working. After checking the breaker panel in my basement (which was not tripped), I couldn't figure out what the problem was. After watching your video, I went to check the outlet on the outside of my house. I didn't even realize that it had a GFCI button. I pressed the reset button, and my garbage disposal was instantly back in operation! THANK YOUR SIR!!!!!

hi , I followed your directions, because my downstairs bedroom lights went off, I kept turning off the breakers, and waiting and turning back on, but no luck. Finally I turned off the gfi in the kitchen and bathrooms, but no luck. I went outside the back porch and press on the light on the outside switch/plug, and all of a sudden it worked. Thank u very much, I watched your video over and over, to check if I missed a step, but soon as i came home I remembered i have a gfi plug outside. Thanks again, you made the steps clear, and in order

BEST ADVICE! UNPLUG EVERYTHING in the room that is affected & then you should be able to turn the circuit breaker back on. Then plug everything in one by one. We found a faulty lamp. We almost thought we had to pay for an electrician. Hope this can help someone else!

You are amazing! I most certainly did show up to this video at the right time. My bedroom electrical outlet went out this morning. I tested other outlets in the room which didn't work either, not even my bedroom light switch. I then called my electric company automated system to make sure there was no outage and there wasn't. I then tested the outlets and light switches in other areas of the home. Those all worked fine. I came across this video of yours and bam! I fixed it by resetting the bedroom breaker by flipping that switched. It shown "off" so I turned it on and saw the red light blink. I went back to my bedroom to test an appliance and it fixed it. Thank you so much for educating us on how to fix our own problems first before spending money with an electrician.

I checked all the outlets inside in the kitchen and bathrooms and all were fine, except the one. But you mentioned the outside outlets. So I was home alone and had to figure out what was wrong with my kitchen out let’s. What’s a girl to do...go on utube and thanks to this video I was able to solve the issues. I was simply not completely flipping the circuit all the way off then back on. It was in the middle! Thank you so much.

Awesome. An outlet in one bathroom needed resetting for an outlet in an opposite bathroom. Would have never discovered this. Thanks.

At 1:05 you gave me tip I needed. My bathroom outlets don't have the reset button. Reset other GFCI on the same circuit. Problem solved ! Thanks !!

Thank you! Great video! Your explanation regarding the arc light and testing was exactly what I needed when my electric fireplace turned off and tripped the breaker switch . When I went to my breaker panel, I didn’t know why the arc light turned on when I switched the switch to on, so I switched it back to off thinking it was an alert of a faulty switch.
My 15amp switch is on the right side of my breaker panel, so was a bit confused when my off position was to the right and yours was to the left, but figured it out that was fine..

For your next video, feel free to define GFI and to zoom in on what button is being pushed. There is some good information being shared, but seeing what's being done close up would be more useful than from many feet away. Thank you.

Thank you. I had trouble finding the right one to trip back. I was turning the light on .. a small one on the side table.. It must be loose. I will go first and check this plug.. it was such a surprise.. but being by the bed, the bedding might have tugged it loose.. Thank you so much.
