As usual, awesome and inspiring, love the homemade charcoal. Art suppliers would have you believe that you can't sketch with anything but the best of material made by them at horrendous prices. Same thing with brushes, an art teacher once forgot his brushes, guess what he used. Cheers
So dry and hot and still, as opposed to damp and cool and green where I live in South Wales UK, lovely thought provoking film, well done Richard, best regards Brian.
Hi Richard. Lovely sketch with probably the most organic medium! I myself have been drawing with just black ink pens on paper the past week or so. Somehow spending a few hours making hundreds of black marks on paper while listening to music or a podcast, is quite distracting and therapeutic. And when the ink runs out, I now know how to make another drawing tool!! When the present chilly temps warm up here, I'll be taking my sketchbook outside.
Enjoyed this one. Do you sketch often to keep your hand in or is it a only on special times you get to do it. Good to see the really great artists sketching as well. Good use of the fire,,, cup of tea and charcoal. Just great..... Bill
Hello Richard, as always wonderful footage of your adventures!! Just love to watch it and imagine to be there by myself. So inspiring!!! I was wondering if it would be ok with you to use some of your recorded 'pictures' for drawings/paintings. During the weeks i dicovered your channel i fell in love with this scenery!! Stay safe and keep going! - wishes Elena from Germany
Richard. A 4K camera would better show up your abilities as an artist and photographer. Also you use zoom/crop so the extra pixel resolution would help out here too.
Walking up to a grand weathered gum tree and patting it on the shoulder like an old friend, and then sitting beneath in comfort to share the view this aged tree has lived. ...sigh.
im loving the birdsong calls in the Australian bush , thankyou for your efforts.

What a great idea...fantastic Richard. Great sketch. I'm gonna try this. Hope my oak hardwood works as well.
It should, Best of luck!
Inspiring as usual . I must say how do you keep so clean ? You don’t smudge your work or get paint anywhere . That is a skill I’d like to learn .
Thanks, Lol Sally, I don’t know 🤔
Great job buddy👍

This is not a sketching video - this is a mediation, equivalent to a Japanese Tea Ceremony.
