Northern Exposure was one of the best shows - great writing, good characters, quirky. Setting in Alaska. Amazing
100%. Such a huge part of my early years. I believe it was just brought back on Amazon?
Best show ever. Period.
Underrated for sure!
@@tmjmccormack Yes!
Northern Exposure is a hidden gem... Bought the DVD series in 99
Big fan since Northern Exposure, and certainly the best part of Sex and the City.
Hereafter known as John "Fuckin'" Corbett.
Didn't know much about this guy but he's cool as shit.
He’s a musician too look up his band 😃
This is the only podcast I DON'T MISS every week... Now I gotta say when I first saw JOHN Corbett.... Was on I was kinda blah..... BUT this dude is so entertaining He loves life and loves David and Dana.... And his btfl wife... Clearly but he's just the coolest dude. Great stories and one of the best guests really
"Chris in the Morning". Great character played perfectly.
I loved John as philosopher-DJ "Chris in the Morning" on Northern Exposure. Fascinating character on a phenomenal show! ❤✌
“Chris In the Morning” KBHR 570 am ❤❤❤
Got to say THEE BEST show you've done. Completely blew me away. John Corbett knew who he is but wasn't expecting much... wow what stories, what insities, and funny. Big 👍 up
Definitely one of your best guests ever. David, two words… catch phrase.
"Northern Exposure" is on Prime now, thank god. My favorite show ever!! Chris in the Morning!
I so wish there was video with these podcasts...
did anyone else expect more F**Bombs from J. Corbett than Andrew Dice Clay?
The f bombs ruined the interview for me. I know this will sound lame but I think less of him now. I still liked his character in Northern Exposure though.
@@ryeguy916 100% !
Yeah - that was disappointing . . . .
Loved Northern Exposure. John was great!
It's f@#%en John Corbett. F@#%en awesome.
liked john corbett before; love john corbett now. thanks guyz.
I was listening on my drive and had to stop and log on to TH-cam and comment. This dude is cool as heck. Love the back story of construction guy. I'm wondering, is the F word a carry over from the construction days? LMAO I've been a builder for 28 years. I've tried to stop throwing the F word and it hasn't worked out for me yet. John Corbett, if the acting thing doesn't stay lucrative. You are welcome on my jobsite anytime. You are a contractor of words bro. HAHAHAHA Oh and great job on Bo Derek bro. Millions of 50 somethings are jealous as hell bro. GOD BLESS you all.
John Corbett is my favorite actor of all time. He has soul.
What a great fuckin’ show. 116 fuckin’s and 138 fucks given.
I recently started watching Northern Exposure again on Amazon. That was such a fantastic show, and John Corbett was perfect for the role of Chris.
I’ve always liked John, he’s a riot! I enjoyed listening to him. He’s funny.🎉 😄 😂
Best show ever, what a pleasant surprise! Bravo John!
I have listened to all of the episodes and this is one of the best. John's energy is so contagious!! Love you guys :)
hahahah the Dennis inflected "Come N Git Some" tag is perfect.
John Corbett is fantastic! John’s never been one of those actors you’d see in gossip rags, he always had a down to earth quality, and he doesn’t disappoint. Great episode…🎉
I can confirm, I’m currently filming with John and he is the most genuine person I’ve met on a set EVER, what an amazing guy truly
Tell him to start his own podcast❗️ His Energy and Enthusiasm and Love needs an outlet❗️
One of the best eps so far , love em all
John fucking Corbett's fucking interview was fucking great.
I fucking agree!
Great interview
Interesting stories. Thank you, Dana, David, and John.
I was John Corbett's stand-in on a film and he was a really, really nice guy.
lucky you
Hell yeah! Some Chris in the morning on the pod this morning!
I started as an extra on Northern Exposure! Best days of my LIFE! 🎉
lucky you!
Northern Exposureeeee is baaack!!!!!!!!
Love Corbett . Love that he and Bo are married . Down to earth and fun . Lighthearted . Fantastically lightheartrd . THANK YOU FOR UR INSPIRATION . U WERE WHAT I NEEDED AND I DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT .
Loved Corbett mentioning all the 'Things That Aren't Here Anymore' in LA..🤍
“I’m not Emma fuckin Stone in Pretty fuckin Thing.” 😂
What an incredible get! Love John Corbett and he knows how to pick good projects, creates great characters and seems like a really good person
Oh. Em. Geeee. I grew up in Bellflower and went to Cerritos College at the same time as John! Wowza!
I loved Northern Exposure! Just stumbled on this by accident, and funny enough I just watched Waynes World the other day... lmao! Ummm I am going to need a 3rd! Please! 😂 Great Podcast!
Modest John didn't think he deserved to be on the show, but this was one of the best so far.
Very interesting guest
John's energy is contagious and he is an absolute lover of LIFE! I love this podcast and you two guys are so down to Earth... funny and make me laugh on a sad day. I love it.
*Corbett* , if you're reading this, Start Your Own Podcast❗️ The world needs your Energy and Enthusiasm and Love❗️
What a great episode!! Loved listening ❤
Redneck Miller, I have not laughed that hard for a long time, EXCELLENT!!
I had to watch this one in pieces when it dropped, super busy, getting in a straight through listen while I man the smoker /bbq today for the family and friends. Corbetts done so much, but Chris in the morning was during my first exposure to counterculture after being raised Mormon. ...so that character is special to me.
John did a great job but he overdid with the F bombs.......he will hold the record...I think that is the influence of cable shows like Ozark and Succession....it is almost like our society can hardly express themself without the f word every other word.....
Great episode. It was like he was telling my story. Old Dick Dunn what a trip. Aardvarks, a girlfriend of mine worked there.
My big fat greek wedding. How charming is John in that film.❤❤❤
You gotta be fkkn kidding me! If he can't find time to write, if he won't put the effort into creating his own roles, and/or productions etc, then it's on him. John has, by his own admission, been in the business for decades, and he's upset he hasn't had more creative input, and control over his career? Over what he says and does on screen?
Ppppplease!
Great guest
I have an original boxed set northern exposure, with the original music, they released another version later on and switched songs out over licensing, glad to hear it's streaming now. Some great cinematography, and social commentary
Great honesty
Great guy
More SNL stuff would've been cool but overall good episode, he has tons of great stories! Love you guys
PLEASE have John Corbett as a guest on your podcast again and soon 🙏
Good to know he’s familiar with the F word.... Bye Bye
He is so awesome, comes across just like he is in shows/movies.....love this interview!!
17:12 LMFAO @ Spade. I loved Corbett since Northern Exposure and would always watch him in anything because of that. The guy generates good will toward himself, from other people, simply by being.
I'd written the comment above before I got to the part where Corbett said, "I'm a friend to the world".... I'm glad he's aware of how much everyone loves him. He just has an intrinsic quality that makes him likeable. Maybe he's been typecast as "awesome guy", but if you need someone to play an awesome guy, you know exactly who to call.
John Corbett,Vincent Price, and Old Dick Dunn walk into a Hamburger Hamlet............
Who knew John was funny af? 😊😂❤
This is the best episode that I've heard so far. John Corbett hasn't been on my radar since Northern Exposure, and it was wonderful to hear him again and learn some of his history. He did an amazing job as a guest - staying so upbeat, fun, and interesting for an hour-long recording probably isn't easy.
When I worked as Corbett's stand-in he was fun, upbeat and interesting the whole time. He seems to be like that normally! At the time he was a Ford spokesman in a bunch of commercial's and someone was pulling out in a Ford truck on location in Concord, MA and he said to the guy, "Love to see a man in a Ford." It was pretty funny!
Oh yeah what about Fridays? Michael Richards maybe? Mark Blankfield? Oh yesssss that's it...Mark Blankfield!! Come on you HAVE TO. Jekyll and Hyde Together Again.
Raquel Effin Welch? Interesting! Bo was the one though.
Good episode, John has a great sense of humor!
Hey David. This was a great episode. Loved the stories about Tommy Boy and his experience with Lovitz at the Groundlings. Really looking forward to the next episode of Superfly to hear you respond to all this Eddie Murphy nonsense.
This was my favorite one yet! John Corbett is a great guest and storyteller. I love he shared his truths about the industry.
I only heard one other person in my entire life that said Fu*k as much as John said in this podcast. It was a hippie in the 60's, '68 If I recall clearly. So not one other person swore as much as John and the hippie since 1968. LOL
Clearly, you haven’t spent any time in New York City where, as the great Lewis Black has said, the word “fuck” is a comma.
@@Historian212 Charming LOL
Hilarious about working in the boiler welding unit with "full metal jacket" foreman. 🤣🤣🤣
John Corbett didn't really need Dana and David for the show....clearly he loves to talk about himself, and imo was a bit condescending to the two of them, I don't think he really needed to explain to them what Groundlings was or where it was located, or how to make it in Hollywood.
He was saying that for the audience, duh.
Dennis Miller doing Red Red Necky all day long!!
I like him more after this! 😍
This podcast is a *ride*

“hmMMm HE sEEmS LikE a NIce GuY”
Ahahahshshahahs I’ve probably watched that scene 600 times
John is the Best.
What about Gary Kroeger that's what I want to know.
David/Dana-- Wondering if you might pass this message to Corbett? I liked the alt-tuning song clip that was played here; turns out I live close by and play alt-violin. I'm thinking we should have a play sometime; you can reach me through Monty at the Siren in M.B. My initials are RG.
Love! I do have to say though, send a sound/mic kit to your guest maybe in some cases. His sound is rough (but this is just the overworked neurotic PA inside my heart).
great Great GREAT!!!! LMAO Thank you, all 3 of you dudes are cool as hell!
I hope he comes on again. I was hoping to hear All Things Northern Exposure. That show picked up after Morrow left. Too bad they couldn't continue the show. Soooo many more stories left to be told since Morrow left and it turned into a truly Ensemble show. Writers had turned Fleischmann into such an angry person it was a relief to see him gone.
I love him but his regrets remind me of Holly Madison.
Northern exposure best show ever!! John also was the best character!!
First thing i remember seeing him in was Tombstone!! Hes a solid actor in all his work.
Your inspiration and lightheartedness is what I needed and I didnt even know it .
I like John, but he could find another word beside "Fuckin'". I had to fuckin' pass.
Bo Derek's second husband is 35 years younger than her first husband. 😮
Most talked over cut off guest yet! Well Done.
Great show! Corbett was very entertaining!
I'm no prude and use the F word in conversation like most people, but this guy with F'n this and every third word dropping the F bomb becomes annoying. Same as people that use "like" all the time.
Boyfriend on the Wonder Years. Lol.
Great interview gentlemen 😊
Denis Miller Red Red Necky is a keeper.
Love “Aidan” 💖 The last BFGW was amazing. He and Bo are a beautiful couple. 💕
Brilliant episode 😎👍
Have given this one an honest listen. It is actually awesome. I stand corrected. Never like red neckie but as Dennis miller it’s classic! Couple zingers and few doozies in there.
Another fine guest. Loved northern lights. Keep it up guys
👍🏻💯
1:04:10 His character accurately predicts our cyber future way back in 1991
Love John Corbett ❤ He’s a musician as well came to our local playhouse once. Can’t wait to listen.
Love John Corbett Is he in new sex and city?
