    Wow!!!! A lot of guard work really pays off. I've done this sort of thing, but in a smaller way. That's a back breaking project for sure. My hat is off to you!! If a person has never done it, they have no idea what a job it really is. Greetings from Texas, USA. :)

      @@voodoomelons You are very welcome. I have a trivia question you can stump your friends and family with; "What is the Eastern most state, and the Western most state, and the Northern most state in the United States?" And the answer is, "ALASKA!" It's obvious we're the Northern most state, but we are also the Western most one and Eastern most one because of the Aleutian Islands! Also that's why we can see Russia from Alaska, because the Western most island is not too far away from the Russian coast.

  • @21stCenturySpaceOdyssey

    Thanks for posting this video. So you secure the border cobblestone with cement, are you also using cement (dry cement) underneath the cobblestones for the interior?

    • @nofurtherwest3474
      @nofurtherwest3474 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I was wondering what materials he used. Looks like a type of sand on the base that is compacted, and cement on the exterior? I haven't seen that method before. Why not use cement or concrete on the entire base? I guess he's trying to lock in the border blocks?
      And then is the grout like a sand that is porous and loose or is it more like a mix that sets up hard/permanent?

    • @topgrafter2007
      @topgrafter2007 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      no it wont as its not plastic its a permeable material used correctly as it has been will stop any migration of the crushed stone into the subsoil whilst allowing water to pass through.

    • @MichaelFarah961
      @MichaelFarah961 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      topgrafter2007 It’s geotextile fabric? I thought it’s plastic. Many people incorrectly lay plastic and the pavers eventually move.

      @@MichaelFarah961 i missed the first few seconds whilst reading the description, i could be geotextile which as you say is a type of plastic woven material. ive used it for years under paving, driveways etc for extra stability, never had an issue... so far lol

      9-12mm Polar White
      The Polar white chippings are great for use on borders, ponds, pathways and more! They are a crisp white colour making them perfect to add brightness to your landscaping project. The polar white chippings are made from angular dolerite which has a natural sparkle and looks stunning when the sunlight hits. This product is most commonly used in garden borders and water features.

    My Papa used to say that brick layers were the honey bees of the human race. Third grade education, went to Canada then to America, paid cash for his home, his cars, sent the kids to Catholic schools, died at the age of 96 with a full head of white glorious hair and every tooth in his head. Plus his estate left $50 thousand to each surviving of his offspring. Laid bricks all his life. County Mayo men are the best!
