- Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt Red. It is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. The story takes place in Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customizable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery with options for melee and ranged combat.
Cyberpunk 2077 is played in a first-person perspective as V, a mercenary whose voice, face, hairstyles, body type and modifications, background, and clothing are customizable. Stat categories-Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Technical, and Cool-are influenced by the character classes that players assume, which are NetRunner (hacking), Techie (machinery), and Solo (combat). V must consult a "ripperdoc" to upgrade and purchase cyberware implants; black markets offer military-grade abilities. The rarity of any given equipment is shown by a coloured tier system. V can take cover, aim, run, jump, double jump, and slide. Melee strikes can be dealt with close-combat weapons. There are three types of ranged weapons, all of which can be customised and modified-Power (standard), Tech (which penetrate walls and enemies), and Smart (with homing bullets). Ranged weapons are equipped to ricochet bullets in a target's direction and slow them down in bullet time. Four types of damage can be inflicted and resisted-Physical, Thermal, EMP, and Chemical. Weapon use increases accuracy and reloading speed, which are manifested in character animations. Gunsmiths repair and upgrade weapons. The game can be completed without killing anyone, with non-lethal options for weapons and cyberware.
Night City is an American megacity in the Free State of North California, controlled by corporations and unassailed by the laws of both country and state. It sees conflict from rampant gang wars and its ruling entities contending for dominance. I try it this ending on hardest difficult plus having hybride character because beating some class achievements....I am like die over 50 times before getting to Smasher, tnx developers there was some chekpoints.

Yeah it is the Rogue ending. To be fair in the Rogue ending you do it in a very small team of 3, which is almost as insane.

I was expecting this ending to something more... Choice driven. Like instead of you just skipping to the “Glory” ending you got to choose wither to go that route or with the Aldecaldos.

I heard a theory somewhere that it's cause these are the voice mails he has after his six months are up and he dies

Vik's message in nomad ending gets me the most, he sounds genuinely care about V.
In a way I see them as a mother and father figure to V especially Mama Welles she just worries about him and Vik cares about V

I really tried to convince him to leave Arasaka and be a nomad (which he says he has thought about) but he was taken out of poverty at a young age and raised by them, realistically you can't change some people when they live their whole lives a certain way. RIP Goro

Yeah this may just be the best ending, v would die in 6 months anyway this way no one commits to a relationship that wont last, no one dies and everyone remembers v as a friend a hero or at least a figure of positive influence in their life. V really becomes a legend in this ending.
With leaving with panam, the star ending. It’s heavily implied by Misty’s tarot cards that V found a way to prolong his life.

I keep thinking V's chances of survival was better with this ending. Leaving with the Aldecados means a hard life and a slim chance on finding something in Arizona. Here it looks like the Aldecados don't leave and you can stay in touch with them plus the bio-chip tech is mainly under Arasaka which is also in Night City. According to Misty's prediction which is very accurate by far, the casino gig is a success. You have influence, money, resources and contacts with all the fixers and other Net-Runners as well as NCPD and the Mayor that you could find a brain dead body (comatose ect) add some gene therapy and do your own soul killer and download...
Possibly, though in the lore the Nomads (aldecaldos included) have very close ties to StormTech Inc, who are a bioengineering and cybernetics company (who coincidentally have offices on the Crystal Palace). Those’re likely Panam’s contacts. So each has its own benefits and drawbacks, but both are the “good” endings IMO. Rogue is good too but objectively worse than this with Rogue being dead. Arasaka and suicide are the bad endings.

Out of all the endings, this feels like the most canon to me. You came to Night City to become the best, to get a name for yourself, your best choom died for that. You owe it to him, to Johnny, to yourself to get that. Just you, some Iron, and one friend against the world.
But I do feel bad about cheating Goro like that, wish V could have sent a BD to him with Konpeki on it before smashing up Arasaka.
id argue he became a legend as soon as he had Johnny's engram. He cheated death, shot in the head and stood back up. Hell claire gives you your own drink in the afterlife when you ask for it.

Once you get past the glitchy part of the game and really dive into the story. It's really dark, no happy ending just different shades of Grey, shows you how life really is for most
Yeah even since day one I wasn’t crazy about gameplay but I like fell right into the lore and story. Love every aspect of this world CDPR has built.

ngl I didnt see a single glitch in my playthrough (semi-high end PC though) and enjoyed it a lot, there are some gameplay elements I didn't like but overall I don't regret buying it day one with 80 hours right now and haven't had the time to really go back since all the updates and mods

I fucking LOVE the story of this game, probably the only game to genuinely feel like the characters were real, I did all the endings (for the achievements) and damn some of em do hit fairly hard at points
Takemura may say "Rot in hell", but he really means "I miss you", in a DLC we need to see him return, if he survived.

I just picture V standing by his window, rain falling over the city, hearing all these. He couldn't free himself from the cycle, but in exchange he spared other's giving their lives for him.
At 6:17 where Peralez is freaking out, this is not a message related to the ending, it's related to the ending of his quest. If you don't tell him about Mr. Blue Eyes involvement he's the Mayor and doing great. He instead asks you to be his security chief.

Yeah I'm glad I listened to Johnny and didn't choose that option on my first playthrough, when I tried the arasaka path later I felt like I was getting screwed over during the whole mission

I was incredibly satisfied with this one. My Panam one was a little different, though. I'm so glad they let us basically say "I have more I need to do, but this isn't a no" to Panam about leaving with her.
Based on the Tarot reading from Misty, I'm just lead to believe after going into space, V completes his gig, get a cure for his DNA/neural issues (my bet is on nanites, you know.. the things that did the damage in the first place), then vanishes from NC to go find Panam. That's what I want and that's what it is. Damnit.
It's also possible that the answer lies in gene-tech, something that the European megacorps are apparently experts at.

This is probably the 2nd best ending as V in terms of ending calls and Misty's reading. Besides the Star ending (Judy and Panam go with you with the Nomads to leave Night city). In this ending Judy and Panam leave night city. Although Kerry and River do stay with you in this ending in Night city, if you picked them.
Although there is no message from rouge to V in this ending? (She should be alive in this ending?).
In the epilogue you talk to Rogue at some point which means she knows Johnny is gone so she has nothing to tell you since both of her possible messages are for Johnny
@@mgpsuazo Actually, that is not true. I got the Rogue scene saying to tell Johnny that hes an ahole and it was nice to talk to him again. (Cannot rule out bugs of course with this game BUT I think it should be there despite it not making sense.)

It's so sad because all these voice-mails are most likely after V has already passed away, such an underrated game with an incredible story!

To be fair, he said it himself. He has had previous thoughts and wonders about throwing it all away and living the nomad life... but Arasaka is literally his whole life, and thus he simply cannot see himself outside and without it. His whole arc in the game was mostly coming to that realization, that even if he has found stuff and people outside of Arasaka that are worth his attention and respect (V left quite an impression), his life would forever be bound to Arasaka out of both gratitude... and because he simply does not know anything else, that's why he ultimately never relents on trying to seek "justice" for Saburo and again return to his position as an Arasaka bodyguard.
If nothing else, that much was consistent characterization, and Cyberpunk as a genre has always been about tragedy. Realizing that even some of the coolest and most personable people are too joined at the hip with their masters to truly break their bonds, note how Smasher, despite being a significantly worse person, serves a less evil master in Yorinobu. It isn't just about the character, but rather by how the system they've accepted has consumed them.
A poetic tragedy. He himself says as much in the Devil ending, how he likes you but will never understand V, since he has never known freedom.
They didn't spit on his face, he acts as he should and it's you misunderstanding the character. He is absolutely devoted to arasaka since he thinks he owes them everything, he has been brainwashed for years. Even though he has been friendly with V it was just a work acquaintance relationship. After avenging Saburo's death he has no use for you. Even when he visits you on the arasaka orbital station in the devil ending its because Hanako asked him to do so, he hasn't reached out to you in any way before Hanako told him to do so. If the choice is between V who Goro has known for maybe a couple of days in the game canon and Arasaka which has been all his life since childhood arasaka wins 100/100 times. V attacking arasaka made him dishonored, he was Saburo's personal body guard and let him die on his watch and then let arasaka tower be attacked and arasaka completely embarrassed by a single merc. No wonder he absolutely hates you, maybe you saved his life but then proceeded to absolutely destroy it. He thought that you're going to continue working with him but V uses him for as long as he is necessary and then does what he thinks is best for him. So you can't say that Goro didn't care about you, seems that V didn't care that much as well.
He saved V's life, but he was never doing it for V's sake. Takemura is only interested in the corporation, it's his life. There's no person left inside him.
I'm a little confused as to why we can't do Don't fear the reaper then join the Aldecaldos. Part of the grimness of the ending for people who went with Pam is that she's busy working in the epilogue since Saul died in the raid, and sends a message about missing plans again. While she promises to make it up to you, your clock is ticking down rapidly so it's a bit grim.
Year late but here's an answer: The Aldecaldo's aren't exactly in a great spot at the time you meet them and if you go for The Star ending it's the tech and other resources they loot from Arasaka tower that gives them the strength they need to pack up and ditch Night City. Without those resources they're forced to work for the Corporations to get by and thus can't really leave.
I think the answer is pretty simple. Once we choose an ending, we make a decision. V doesn't know who would die and even what will happen. If V decides to leave Panam out of it, then the seal is shut
Throughout my entire playthrough of this game back when it first released as a complete joke. I never went to any other ripper in the game if I could help it. I'd buy their parts and chrome, but I'd leg it all the way back to the start so Vik could install it. It's like a barber. You don't cheat on your barber, and you don't cheat on your ripper.

After the PL ending half of the people can just go and get themselves flatlined for all I care, Vic is legit the only person worth a damn out of the entire entourage
i have a headcanon that now that V has lost his 2 best friends he’s just scared to lose anyone else. so he’s just gonna let work take hold and let himself go numb. like a true legend
love this game though probably my only gripe is the GIGs. After doing a lot of them they're generally rescue, sabotage, steal or kill. They didn't try to make more missions more like in tone of the Cyberpunk genre -Noir investigation like we got from River. Missing person, searching for artifacts ect even expanding on the Cyberpychos where you find where they live, talk to any of their friends or relatives which could take us running all around Night City instead of just going to that location and do the Job quickly.... For DLC I am hoping you could join (as a contractual employ) MAXTAC, see their headquarters ride in an AV on missions and even help them evaluate if the CyberPsychos they encounter is worth saving or not.

Mainly intelligence and technical those where really intriguing to use and see how does options pan out
I hope that the psychos you rescue for that side mission come back and you make your own MAXTAC of Mercs. Run everything from the Afterlife and shit. MAXTAC is just a bunch of 'reformed' psychos anyways.
You do realize that 80% of stuff was cut from game, that means CDPR might bring cut things back in future.
I always go this route and do the final gig. Cause that's what my V wanted, to be a legend and not have the sacrifices go in vain.
I just finished my first playthrough, and got the “V’s Space Heist” ending. I feel like my V had to become a legend. For everyone who stuck their neck out for her. And especially for Jackie. She started this journey hoping to be a household name, and goddamit she’s gonna be one. I also feel like that ending is the best in terms of getting V cured. All that money. All that power. All those connections. I like to believe that somehow, she found someone who could save her. She has become the legendary figure she always strived to be, used her position to find a cure, and continued to live out her many more years as one of the most famous individuals in the history of Night City.

I heard some pretty interesting dialogue from Johnny during the Peralez mission. Johnny mentioned the wandering rogue AI left behind to evolve on its own. Sentient AI could also be behind the Zen Master as well as the Tarot cards.

In my mind i can concoct a series of reactions from these characters to the follow the reaper secret ending, i'd say that i wouldn't change mama wells, judy, river, kerry, takemura, jefferson and misty, and i'd add rogue to this.
as for the characters who would react differently i'd change vic, add a new reaction to rogue, i'd change panam, mitch and saul.
For vic i'd have him say that V was a brave fool who would enter any storm without fearing for his or her life, and that he'd toast for your life.
for mitch and saul i'd have them say similar things but they would say something along the lines of "you know you got friends who could aid you anytime right V? don't carry ur burdens all by urself", but they would be genuily happy to know you're ok. As for panam she'd be at first pissed for being soo concerned over you but that anger soon sweeps away and she's finish off her message saying "i'm just glad you made it out...if anyone could it would be you V.."
The line i'd give rogue would be something along the lines of: "Well look at you..took matters into your own hands, didn't call a single soul for help...remember when I first saw you? All I thought of you was just another eager kid with an attitude and balls but you did what no one these days do anymore..all of them do jobs on the huss huss where no one cares or bats an eyelid, but you? You might aswell have gone down as one of the greatest of all time after what you just did. Be safe V" of course this would have to be you picking the sun ending after the don't follow the reaper mission, if you would pick the temperance i guess you would get the same reactions as the regular rogue mission.
I like how in this ending Judy is basically just saying "Do the Star ending"
I like this ending, but... the Street Kid ending, becoming a Legend in Night City... it just feels like a empty throne.
Granted, I finished it without any romance partner, so the house just felt empty. I really had that feeling of "that's it?" and, damn, it felt apropriated to say that.
I'm a legend, and now what? Just pack it for the next gig and hope I don't die, before the chip end it all? Or maybe I hope I die in this next gig and don't have to suffer a slow death by the chip?... kinda fucked, haha.
If I was V, I would say "fuck it" and just use my time to hang with Mama Welles, maybe help at her bar, hang out with my friends (that barbecue Mitch suggested could be good, and also a visit to Judy and maaaaybe get Kerry some VIP tickets to his show with the Us Cracks). I'm already a legend, so I'm just gonna sit back and... wait until Death catches up, I guess.

...which won't be coming. Each and any of the endings are canon in a certain way, just like in the Witcher. I bet, there will be some differences based on which ending you got in this game, but they won't base the sequel on any particular one.
Yep. The only canon is that the edgerunner known as V disappeared after irrevocably changing Night City and becoming a legend.
Whether Johnny Silverhand is back or not is a toss up... but he also left Night City, probably to never return since it took nearly everything from him in his quest of vengeance against it... including his last friend who gave up everything including even their body for him.
Man I sooo wish we could carry on after the ending, catch up with all the friend you made instead or being a dude who doesn't keep in contact with his or her friends, going back to before embers pfft they could of let us carry on!!
I don't know if anybody will get this but, I feel like in any ending where V gets to keep their body is better than anything else. Because I'm pretty sure the predicament they're in at that point is much easier to fix, mostly because we've already had something like that happen in real life before. If you've watched brain on fire, you'll know what I mean.
Just finished the game, I upgraded from the Xbox One S to the Series X. The Series X is very clean and Cyberpunk 2077 has improved a lot after a year, but still got a long way to go. I really enjoy both.
I started as a street kid and the ending I got was leaving Night City with Panam.
Not bad for my 1st play-through, was hoping to do this ending, but the 1st group of enemies at Arasaka were like mini versions of Razor Hughes’s dressed up as Adam Smasher, maybe coz I’m level 35 and they’re level 50, according to what some peeps said.
I might do a 2nd play-through, as a corpo-rat, use different attributes to get better skills and perks and hopefully quickly rise up to level 50, so I can do this ending as well.
Ending on my first run just cracked me, what a masterpiece.

Just got this ending and was kinda confused on why takemura is mad at us until I really listened to what blue eyes had to say. “You TKO’ed Arasaka”
What happens is that
Hanako gets killed by yorinobu and blames it on something else (probably you)
Saburos chip gets erased from mikoshi by alt
Yorinobou takes control as arasaka CEO
Oda (if you chose to spare him after the boss fight) leads a search party to find and kill takamura which is why he’s hiding in some sort of garage
(If you killed oda some random arasaka solder takes his place)
also yorinobu provoked another corpo war between the big corps, and with all the damage you dealt to arasaka, they probably are going to lose

So i got the hopeful ending.
Even though this is probably the best ending, it's still somber.

Honestly, if I was V, expecting a farewell from Takemura, this would suffice. It's not exactly a beauteous farewell, but it's an appropriate one a perfect closure.
Well, Goro is a Saka boy. Lifted out of the slums and given a new life. He lives by codes of honor and his honor is serving Arasaka.
I'm pretty confident he killed himself in this ending. Saka is basically destroyed and Goro talks about how samurai write death poems before killing themselves, but since he's not a samurai, that's all he would say.
@@v3nom11065 I don't believe he killed himself, but was on the verge of doing it, that would just be a huge missed opportunity for what they could do with Goro.
Maybe have him appear in the new DLC as a vengeful character.. or the a supporting character depending on the ending and the choices you have made

I notice no rogue. And also wow. Didn't know that takemura had any messages. This must be the only time he sends one.
If he is alive he will send messages in any ending you choose aside from (end things on your own term and the devil ending)
Rogue is alive in this ending. During the epilogue (when you are in the Afterlife club) you can talk to Rogue and tell her that Johnny is gone. With that in mind, she has nothing more to say to you in the voice messages.
You can get his message if you save him and this isn’t the only ending where he calls

I got mostly the same credits (except I got a bad vidya from Judy) with the Rogue ending. Makes me feel good to know I did the best I could on a completely blind playthrough.
The peralez quest line has so much potential wish it got a dlc
Im about 80% sure that goro doesnt go through with it, much like soboru, he will likely back out last minute for "unknown reasons". Reflecting on the man he once respected the most and perhaps striving for something more in his life, something he believes in

This is definitely the second best ending, with the nomad at first. While you arent with your friends, you leave on good terms with them and everyone is still happy. You are the big shot you always aimed to be from the start.

I have a theory that V either dies on the heist job or like Johnny sort of gets taken and his / her friends don’t know about it
V did die on the heist job. Its the relic bring back johnny silverhand, the fact V's is alive is just a byproduct of the process. V is just a transient echo, that in time will fade away as his brain is converted for johnny's use. In the end its johnny's body. You accept it and let Johnny live a normal life in his new body or reject the process and accept you are going to die at some point as you continue to live in a body that is no longer yours.
I quite like all the endings in the game, but the cherry on top would be another secret one that lets you set off ANOTHER nuke in Arasaka tower, just for fun. Like another branch of the suicide option
Better yet, a Super Secret Ending where you and Johnny Merge together to trick V's Body into thinking that he is Johnny, this would of course require 100% Johnny Relationship and raiding Arasaka Tower solo
I got the cars caliburn and Guinevere hope fully they give us the Excalibur in a update or dlc

Don’t fear the Reaper easily best route and either give Johnny the body or Keep it for the Casino Gig is best two options in my play through. Most Legendary storming Arasaka solo and hearing their agents gain fear of the single merc with chromed out body smacking them down. I went full sandevistan build but with pistol and blade. David and Becca gotta be smiling from the beyond at the moment of taking Smasher down. Johnny and V together in this route the best.

I like to imagine that it’s not V purposefully avoiding everyone but their new status as Living legend of NC like maybe people are gunning for them so trying to avoid bringing unwanted attention to the people he likes

Honestly I expected someone to scold you for going on a suicide mission, maybe ask if you wanted to die or simply didn't care about your life.
i would've preferred an honorable showdown with Goro in this ending.
The characters only respond to the end choice you make (the body decision) not the actual mission
Its a little sad that these characters will probably never see v again depending on the endings
This is def the best ending of Cyberpunk besides the Stars Ending but here everyone who is close 2 V is alive including Saul
