Honestly, now that I can have a closer look at the Metal Slug tank... it looks so small and condensed, that I'm surprised that it was able to handle all the insane stuff that its franchise threw at it.
The thing is barely bigger than a large truck and yet it was taking down super weapons left and right. That managed to pack a lot of might into that little boy.
There's an old anime called "Tank Police". The main character tank "Bonaparte" is the inspiration for the Metal Slug tank.
It makes the Slug Gunner look obsolete
@@yi_hou3092 slug gunner doesn't exactly transform, rather shift between walker and tank, and can do so much faster which means it'll be more flexible in actual combat

I always wanted the SV-001 to transform and this finally scratched that itch in a good way. The Regular Army decided enough is enough and went for an upgrade.
If we can mimic it's transformations into a Slug Gunner, then all we are missing is the Pile Bunker and the massive chaingun for an arm

I like to think this is a very serious Autobot, but because of how cartoonish and cute his tank mode is, no one takes him seriously.

tbh this is probably one of the most seamless transformers toys ever. In tank mode it has absolutely no visible robot kibble and in robot mode the only real visible tank details are the visible treads behind the arms.
Definitely ordering.
I like how the tank treads kinda pass for armour plates in robot mode.

Huh. Never did I imagine A super-deformed tank could look so good for a transforming robot design. I will say this though, HasTak seems to be getting slow on potential collaborations. Regardless, this is a pretty great design.

its a piloted mech since in metal slug theres already a transforming metal slug like that with some differences like being in a hybrid mode and not a full mech

looks good, however design wise the aesthetic of the robot mode is totally different from the chibby one the tank mode has.
I kinda like that though. The chubby boy becomes lean and slim. The sheer difference gives it some real personality.
Gotta keep that cannon on his chest to maintain design consistency
It really actually just shows the effort and craft that went into this. It managed to hide such a cool robot form within that cute tank form. A chubby robot would be cool too but I don't think it would be able to look 100 chubby since it'd be hard to hide it in tank mode
yeah.. feels like the transformed form doesn't belong in metal slug at all, which is a bit sad.
