I found it boring and bland, very repetitive and dropped it after 5 episodes. Ultimately it was just an incredibly beautiful anime to look at, nothing else. Lots of icing, barely any cake; eating just the icing isn't to fulfilling for me, but then there are those people who can indulge on the icing, without any cake.

Banana Fish should’ve been here, it was emotional and the storyline was extremely compelling compared to most of the ones listed in the video. Yes it may have underground and the manga did’t get an anime adaptation until 30+ years after the manga but, the quality of such an anime and it was all written by a female despite the crime mafia drug conspiracy, it’s still considered a Shoujo anime. I guess maybe that’s why it didn’t make the list because this list showcased mostly shounen anime.. Their animation studio, MAPPA, spent 5 years fighting to get the manga animated and I respect that they fought so hard because they thought such an artwork of a manga deserved to be animated.

That was somewhat amusing to see considering the tone of the series and the events of that particular episode. Maybe it was a good thing. As much as I've seen other stuff I love this year BF is an instant classic that I'd recommend, if the person can handle the reality, violence and heartache that comes with it. I've only seen one person finish the series not in tears, and I don't think I've seen ANYONE finish it and not feel frustrated, angry and sad. It was one of those where Ash was plotting up a storm, everything was explained in the subtle hints, so it could be figured out if you paid close attention. @@hauntedwafflecake Actually, they do kiss, but it was a very strategic kiss early on that had the anti-yaoi people jumping off the train. That was somewhat amusing to see considering the tone of the series and the events of that particular episode.
Maybe it was a good thing. As much as I've seen other stuff I love this year BF is an instant classic that I'd recommend, if the person can handle the reality, violence and heartache that comes with it.
I've only seen one person finish the series not in tears, and I don't think I've seen ANYONE finish it and not feel frustrated, angry and sad. I'm not one for crying, and I cried a whole bunch through the series. Can't say anything's done that since Soukyuu no Fafner

@@hauntedwafflecake Ah the kiss was in the third episode. It was one of those where Ash was plotting up a storm, everything was explained in the subtle hints, so it could be figured out if you paid close attention.
Once episode 8 rolls around shit hits the fan and things go a bit crazy. It's a shame these people miss out on it just because of one little kiss that isn't actually romantic in context.
A Place Further Than The Universe should have gotten on the list, preferably in the top half. So should the anime adaptation of Bloom Into You.
