Announcement: Here it is everybody! The animation that I have been working on for god knows how long! I cannot begin to tell you how much I learned doing this! It was really fun to make! What I CAN say is that I tend to learn A LOT by the time the main animation process is over, which I did. So the next few projects I do will be much smaller and less of a movie format like this film was in. What I make in the future will be better, I promise! There are BIG things coming for this channel! While I do love debating monster match ups (yes, that will still go on), this channel is so much more! I have so many ideas involving my two favorite kaiju King Kong and Godzilla, so that is what this channel will steer towards. I'm also going to be uploading more frequently, there will be newer series, and there will be more 3D Animation Tutorials! After this video and my next animation (which will be a recreation from the Godzilla Rulers of Earth comics), I'm going to begin a kaiju tutorial series built specifically for Godzilla kaiju! Everything I have learned, any of the pitfalls I can possibly let you all know to avoid, just everything that makes me love what I do (animating), I want to share with all of you who may want to do it as well! Anyways guys, this is a huge stepping stone and I hope you all seriously enjoy this animation! It's not great, but I swear I will try to do better animations and videos for you all! and showa anguirus would kill legendary godzilla with relative ease If we use that version because anguirus scales with showa godzilla in power who is solar system level+ while the legendary godzilla universe is multi continental so this one can be considered a nerfed version of that character
Oh please like showa anguirus is that special anguirus isn't nerfed this is his full power and legendary could kill him easy 4D my ass, at least MV went to a portal with earths gravitational pull even humans can get torn apart just by entering without high tech.
I still love anguirus and miss him in movies but the showa era is cool but he barely stand a chance against monsters by himself and legendary would beat him with ease (not a MV fanboy just facing facts).

The most well-designed and detailed interpretation of the Showa Anguirus I have ever seen! The character was used to its greatest extent in a way I wish had been done in the films themselves. Absolutely fantastic work, I am beyond impressed!
Anguirus’s physics get a bit weird at times, but otherwise, it was a fantastic use of the monster’s different roars, facial expressions, fighting styles, and personalities. This was great! And I hope to see much more in the future. Also I love that you brought Anguirus back, he is one of my favorite Toho kaiju
Thanks so much! Yeah, the physics was a really odd thing for me to try an nail for some reason, but I think I am beginnign to understand how to make the kaiju feel heavier and bigger and move in a more realistic manner! Angy is definitely a kaiju who isn't really shown to be that great of a fighter, not unless it's GFW or the atari games, so I sort of wanted to give my take on what an awesome fighter Anguirus could be! As for my future work, I promise you will see so much more! I'm planning on recreating a couple battles from Godzilla: Rulers of Earth comics, so if you want to see those kinds of videos as well as all around Godzilla/King Kong discussion videos, subscribe for more!

This should go viral. Such an amazing animation. The movements are so fluid. The animation is so long, I expected it to be a little wonky but I was dazzled to find every minute was high quality. You put so much love and thought into it, I can't thank you enough for sharing your work with us. Also 15:25 to 15:31 made me a little emotional, lol. Two opponents gazing at each other in respect after a tough fight, then going their separate ways. A nice, happy ending. More satisfying than one of them dying, in my opinion.
Would you consider including Ghidorah in a future animation? It could be short, it's just that I love him so much and you animate so well, I'd love to see what you can cook up with him. Anyway, again, thank you for sharing your amazing work with us. You've created something amazing that deserves to be gazed at. Feel proud of yourself, my dude. You deserve it.

1:43 - This is a reference to how Legendary Godzilla often stands in a defiant manner, almost like a battle pose. I was mainly thinking about the beginning of the San Fran battle. (th-cam.com/video/1MefXuHn0ac/w-d-xo.html) Didn't exactly nail it like I do in the G14 Model Showcase, but this was my own personal stylized take on it.
2:11 - Those are Millennium and Heisei footsteps mixed. When Anguirus starts revving himself up for a dirt charge, those sounds are the classic Showa Godzilla footsteps just lowered in pitch!
3:08 - Anguirus running around and being extremely agile is a reference to Final Wars, just how nimble and dexterous he was! That needs to be in all Anguirus movesets!
3:14 - Godzilla chokeslamming Anguirus, it's one of my favorite Godzilla moves! He does it later on in the animation, but this is my very first go at it.
3:30 - This is a reference to not only Shin Godzilla and how he often charges his atomic breath with his mouth just sort of unfolding as his eyes go dark (th-cam.com/video/UPuWdr6lyfU/w-d-xo.html) (th-cam.com/video/CUkpZguUrgo/w-d-xo.html). It is also a reference to the Deadlights from Pennywise (th-cam.com/video/0nCnwSvm3DM/w-d-xo.html)
3:38 - A reference to Anguirus's dexterity in the Atari trilogy of Godzilla games! In the background, you can also see a poster for one of my favorite videogames, the Japanese Godzilla: Save The Earth game poster! We also see a King Kong Vs Godzilla poster that comes from the Criterion Collection!
3:50 - This is a reference to how Gareth Edwards had masterfully directed Godzilla (2014). Low, human angle shots, and mostly; shots inside buildings. There was a lot of noise for some reason since this was literally within a building model, which is why I don't do a lot more of it. You will see later on there are rooftop shots, also referencing how Edwards shot G14!
4:00 - This is kind of my take on Legendary Godzilla, so I had to include a sick remix roar including the original 1954 Gojira roar!
4:07 - My favorite moment within the whole animation! When Anguirus gets slammed into the building. You already know this is a reference to the Godzilla (2014) scene when he kills the Male Muto!!! Notice how much more bloody Anguirus is after the hit!
4:16 - That poster is a reference to my future, ultimate film coming out! As of now when writing this, my future plans in terms of kaiju battles are three IDW Godzilla battle recreations (Godzilla and Mothra vs Destroyah, Godzilla Vs The Gargantuas, and Godzilla Vs Zilla), then an all original animation featuring SpaceGodzilla (it will be a sequel to THIS animation!), and it will all culminate with Godzilla Vs King Kong (Heisei)!
4:20 - A reference to Godzilla (2014) when Godzilla kicks around the Female Muto (th-cam.com/video/PIjCt8M9XJI/w-d-xo.html)
*Godzilla Leaving The City Scene*
5:17 This whole scene references when Godzilla leaves the city in G14 and serves to bridge the story so people don't go "how did Godzilla end up in the forest??" There are literal shots ripped from when Godzilla leaves the city in G14! The back shot, the helicopter shot of him leaving the city, the shot of them on the docks, it's all G14 based! I was hoping to give people that G14 feeling!
*The Military Base Scene*
6:37 - This is a reference to the fact that Godzilla does not have any malicious intent. He wants to make sure the balance of the titan hierarchy is preserved and that Anguirus is not a rogue titan. He needs Anguirus to submit, which he will not.
7:28 - I accidently call it the Super X2 even though the model is of the Super X, but I basically am able to use the excuse of "it's an original ship I reimagined for this video!"...but just remember it was a mistake ;)
7:35 - This line was inspired by how Don Frye always acted in Godzilla Final Wars. You know how he's always like "Damn big guy just won't quit!" as he proceeds to grab his sword and LEAVE THE FREAKING GOTENGO like that can do anything! Except here they actually can do something. Man...remember when Godzilla roared facing all the humans in GFW and they cocked their freaking weapons?!! So dumb haha!
*Godzilla Swimming To The Forest Scene*
8:16 - This is one of the shots I was most proud of!!!! Looks great, huh!? Okay so this was a reference to KOTM, I can't find it but there is a shot before they enter Godzilla's lair and we see the submarine lowering into the depths, and the lightrays and caustics looked awesome.
*Godzilla Vs Anguirus Forest Battle*
8:32 - Not really a reference, but this is where I updated Blender, all the materials, the facials and rigs for the models, and really tried to make it look good. Hopefully you can see the improvements!
9:19 - This is a reference to Spider-Man posing before battle. Just thought it was cool and fit Anguirus!
9:21 - Godzilla 2014 Airport Scene Reference!
9:44 - The way Godzilla grabs Anguirus's tail was a reference to Final Wars Godzilla when he grabs Keizer Ghidorah after his powerup.
9:54 - Kong: Skull Island reference with that soundtrack bit.
10:27 - Godzilla 2014 reference when Godzilla chokeslams the Female Muto in the beginning of their fight and bites her neck.
11:06 - Godzilla KOTM Reference to the arctic fight when Godzilla's tail hits the ground and he fires his atomic breath at Ghidorah.
11:43 - The way Godzilla moves is a reference to the way he did during the GGB scene in Godzilla 2014 when he first roars in pain. The bite afterwards is a reference to the Male Muto fight when Godzilla tries to bite the Male Muto when he's on his back. Anguirus rolling is a reference to the move he can do in FW and the Atari games.
12:17 - I wanted this moment to kind of resemble getting put into a trance like when Pennywise from It 2017 put the kids in a trance by the deadlights.
13:15 - Godzilla 2014's first atomic breath scene reference!
14:15 - The way Godzilla gets up is actually a reference to King Kong Vs Godzilla and how Godzilla kind of jumps up during the fight, kicks himself to the side, and fires his atomic breath. Also the way Anguirus shakes his head is the same way Kong shakes his head in that movie when he's knocked out.
14:48 - That snap at Anguirus is a reference to the incredible Vrahno and his animations. I think his Gorosaurus vs Zilla animation had that kind of move.
14:57 - Reference to Godzilla 2014 when he walks away from the city in the final scene as well as his victory roar.

This was the best animation of the entire genre. This G man design should be used if there ever were to be 2 Godzillas in 1 flick. He would be an excellent villain.. This is the Godzilla I want to see fight The Muto Prime.

This was a terrific effort on your part! I am hesitant to give any criticisms here, because not only could I do no better, I couldn't do something like this at all! I can only imagine all the planning, hard work, and headaches that went into a respectful labor of love like this to make it as good as it turned out. The human characters could use some more work, but still, you did as well with the animation of them as most CGI video games of, say, the early 2000s, with doubtless a lot less resources to work with. If this is only the beginning for you, I can't wait to see the further stages of your work! Please keep up the efforts and know that your work will be watched and will be appreciated :-)
Oh Ben. I appreciate that so much. I just lost my grandmother today, and this is what I get back to. It's so nice and I'm so grateful! Human characters was me just needing to know if I can remotely do anything like a human, I didn't think about their character as all (sin!). This is definitely the beginning and my work is going to get better, and thank you so much for everything man!
Damn Anguiras can do some major acrobatics, I also like the little Kong and Godzilla poster thing in the corner of the city (the first battle). I'm assuming that's one of the easter eggs. I also like how Godzilla is closer to his roots here as more of a bad guy, in a sense.
If you see the Heisei Godzilla Vs King Kong poster, that's actually a teaser for an upcoming animation in the near-but-not-to-distant-future! My major project will be a Godzilla Vs King Kong Heisei film, since one was originally planned in the 1990s! It could be fit into a Godzilla Heisei Marathon, it'll be shorter than an actual film maybe but it's going to be great!

It was so damn cinematic. It felt like a film you'd see in theaters! I always actually on the edge of my seat! And man, you could really got the weight of these two behemoths down pat! Great voice acting by you and the other two voice actors as well!
And I love Anguirus' martial arts-esque pose at 9:20, too, along with the various KKvsG easter eggs in the opening battle. Lol

You gave Anguirus a good light when most times he's seen as the weakest monster in the Monsterverse. Thank you. Anguirus is one of my favorite Kaiju and is never given enough respect for what he can do especially if fighting by Godzillas side
I’ll never understand the people who think he’s the weakest. He only ever fought the strongest monsters( Godzilla, ghidorah, Gigan, mecha G) and he held his own. Sure he never won any 1v1 battles in the films, but honestly neither did anyone not named Godzilla or mothra. Underrated Monster for sure.

There's no way I'm the only who has watched this over and over and in awe every time angirus was so cool as well as godzilla I really wish they put this in monsterverse this was great my boi angirus was soo tough this was awesome and u took my two favorite monsters into one video. This was like godzilla raids again monsterverse style I couldn't ask for more god like angirus and godzilla action

This was Awesome! I always prefer seeing Godzilla and Anguirus as buddies but you did a fantastic job with this fight. You showed off the Monster's fighting capabilities and their personalities really well. No matter who he's up against, Anguirus won't back down from a fight until he or his opponent can't fight anymore. My only criticism is that when Anguirus jumped, sometimes it felt a little floaty (but I understand that animating a Kaiju jump would be challenging), but overall, Great Work!
Thank you so much! I like to think this battle was the start of a blossoming friendship, after all they did fight before becoming friends in the Showa timeline. The floatiness was definitely a result of my terrible animating skills lol, but that's something I think I know how to improve upon in the future!

I do think it is more interesting for Godzilla and Anguirus to develop a friendship instead of instantly having one (like in the Showa Series and IDW Trilogy). Glad to hear, it's great to be able to learn how you can improve from your mistakes.
Great animation but what I like the most is that you made Godzilla like a fearful beast and a fair king. I think this combination suits Godzilla very well and this is what I expect to happen in GvK.

Your revision of Anguirus was both familiar (the Showa era) and new (the tip of his tail). And he did put up a good fight against the Big G, the "villain" of the piece...

This is by far the best fan animation of L. Godzilla I seen period but a one thing stick out. Why is the military fighting against Godzilla? Both movies show he is willing to fight along side earth's other alpha species. I do know its for the animation and to test a machine to see if it can stand up to the King and could definitely be a side story or even a novel/graphic novel before the G vs K movie. Besides that, this is probably the most accurate depiction of 2014/2019 Big G in a fan animation. Having to deal with a rebel Titan that doesn't wanna listen to the Alpha Titan so Big G had to show Lil Ag why he is the King of the Monsters. Hella job bro. Keep up the great work.

Thank you so much for all the love! To answer your question; Godzilla was inflicting too much damage upon cities, and the military felt Anguirus was needed in case a bigger threat ever emerges. They know Anguirus is not a bad monster. Godzilla displayed that he can set aside alpha status, truly acknowledge and respect an opponent, and spare an opponent granted they are not evil or danger the planet. Whether Super X2 was there or not, Godzilla would have spared a fellow earth defender regardless!

I love the fact that you brought back my favorite piece of Godzilla lore the Super X attack plane. Interesting that you modified it to have the Super X2's fire mirror (much better implemented than the actual Super X2 in my opinion), just wish we could have seen it firing all out.
My green screen effects came straight from TH-cam, resulting in ASS looking effects. I'm planning on buying some elements that are meant for AE and look good, so that way I can implement scenes like that.

What’s funny is that the city is a stage from a video game that I downloaded off deviant art. I wasn’t actually able to make everything destructive, since the city and first scenes were rendered in Blender 2.78 which was far less advanced as Blender 2.81+. In my next next animation, Godzilla Vs The Gargantuas, you’ll see me incorporate some ACTUAL destruction of buildings which is something I finally learned how to properly do in Blender. As for the tutorial, my friend. Subscribe! Because after my next animation, I feel like I’ll be confident enough to create an entire kaiju-based tutorial series which will cover absolutely everything I know to make some awesome Godzilla animations! Atomic breath, destruction, buildings, skies, monsters, easy and bite sized videos that are as clear and concise as they are straight to the point! Stay tuned for those, they should be coming out within the next few months after my Godzilla and Mothra vs Destroyah Rulers of Earth comic recreation animation!
@@KingKong19100 The fact that the buildings just fell over but remained completely intact was my one big complaint about your videos, especially in Rodan vs King Ceasar. I jokingly thought damn, earthquake resistant building design has come a long way. Glad to hear it's going to be fixed in future videos. Other than that, great job.

Honestly, the only change I like on KOTM's design is his feet. The spines are too big and the stump tail looks awful.
The rounded/shortened tail tip and ridiculously small head are the biggies for me. The are the main reasons that I don’t really like the 2019 design.
AustinKnight X Ooof same here buddy! Lately I don’t like how fat Godzilla feels. If you saw that new GvK promo image of the two of em on top the aircraft carrier, Godzilla just feels so bulky and fat. I would have preferred if we got a Godzilla design that is like the KOTM Statue where he was slim yet muscular. I like Godzilla with a smaller head, but not as small as they made in that image. The tail I would prefer they keep like 2014. Spines are personal preference, as you can see in the video I went with 2014 spines but far bigger.

I personally like this fight because even though in all of godzilla movies, most of them, anguirus always ends up losing. In this one he did lose too, but he always gives it his best. He doesnt have lasers or anything, he has a spiky back and is not one of the powerful kaiju, but he does always end up putting up a good fight in all his battles, and that's what I like about him

This is far better than wobbly world’s shin Godzilla vs legendary Godzilla animation in my opinion exept the kaiju in this animation dont move like they have a lot of weight in some scenes but that’s alright since it can be hard to add weight in animation. GOLD METAL TO U 🏆🏆🏆

I maybe a little to party but as someone who has tried blender and failed miserably i cant express my respect for you enough loved the mini movie writing was great and i loved how you kept it simple and didnt go over the top with it plenty of those out amd dont get me wrong i enjoy those as well but this was a very refreshing change look forward to seeing more
Oh man, I cannot tell you how many failures I have had! Look at my channel, I have an entire playlist that has my older 3D animations, my content was horrible! But you know what I did? I practiced. I watched tutorials, I stayed up-to-date, I started using Cycles, I really did notice results. It got me to where I am now. Even this video is not that great technically, but I still learnt a lot doing this animation, I'm still learning and I will share tutorials in the future showing off what I learned! But keep at it!
