RIP Ronnie King the Bass player and one of the original founders thank you for the music and memories that will live on until it's our Time, Saw him a few years back he was in Good Spirits, Happy and thanked the audience for 50 years of touring and being with his band .
One of the best bands Canada (Alberta) ever produced! I love these guys! :)

RIP to bassist Ronnie King . This is still one of my all time favourite songs, past and present. I still play it in 2024 . How amazing a sound and feeling you get listening to it .

Probably one of the most beautiful songs ever!!
A 2 minute song that feels eternal.
Kim Berly's voice is a gift to all!
Yes it is and I love Kim desperately
I’m 42 and this song has been a fave of mine for well over 30
Years

Brings tears to my eyes with its beauty & my memories.
More so that Ronnie just passed…
If i ever get married, that will be my wedding song. Seen them in high school in 1974.
How refreshing is it to hear a song like this - Classic in every sense of the word makes you wish the rap crap was not ......... bring back the stampeders !

Oh, my lady
I'm alone, you'd feel your presence in the night
Oh, my lady
Through the storm I felt your fire, saw your light
Oh, my lady
I said lady, I can feel
That soon my lady will be free
And ain't it like walkin' out after the pourin' rain
To meet the morning train
Oh, my lady
There will be time for reflection and for play
Oh, my lady
Well, a darker night will dawn a brighter day
Oh, my lady
I said lady, I can feel
That soon my lady will be real
And ain't it like walkin' out after the pourin' rain
To meet the morning train
And life being what it is
She'll be round in time
And time changing like it does
Oh, won't change my mind about my lady so real
I said, my lady can feel
And ain't it like walkin' out through the pourin' rain
To meet the morning train
Oh, my lady
I said lady, I can feel
That soon my lady will be real
And ain't it like walkin' out after the pourin' rain
To meet the morning train
Well, in the morning rain
Oh, my lady
KIM BERLY IS THE MOST HANDSOME MAN I EVER SEEN PLAYING THE DRUMS AND SINGING….. THERE IS NO ONE WHO COULD MATCH HIM. I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW IN LOVE I AM WITH HIM. HE IS 74 now and I am 60 but I would run accross Canada straight to BC , if I was 100% guaranteed I could meet him and hug him tight. I know he is married but I just love him forever…❤
Love the music
what a great song
Always loved this tune !!!!...They opened for The Guess Who that winter at MLG....
Before the band, Kim was a friend of the family when I was an infant...
Ein Monat des Übergangs ❤
Another great canadian three piece band
I’m so in love with Kim…. I swear to God if I could of met him when I was 15, I would of begged him on bended knee to take me with him on the road and at 15 I would of gave him a son and daughter…
Sweet sweet sweet!!!!
love it :) reee
HAPPY (67th) BIRTHDAY, KIM
TODAY, 67 YEARS AGO
when
KIM BERLY
(July 24, 1948)
was born
missing a few seconds of the video at the end, great tune and band.
Somehow The Guess Who became bigtime internationally while the Stampeders got to be kept as a Canadian curio? How does this world work??? I feel similarly about Iron & Wine. And more recently, the band Metric (like, why aren't they massive beyond the 49th parallel?)
It's weird... I'd like to read a study on how Canadian rock/pop acts break beyond the borders. I mean, some just move to the States. I suppose that makes a big difference. But, wow, that must be an expensive undertaking nowadays. Or, maybe you can make a living as a rock/pop performer in Canada, achieve a nice level of celebrity and success and that's all they need? Probably more stable than trying to be everything to everyone in the anglo-phonic world. Like Robbie Williams has been massive for decades in the UK but couldn't crack a nut anywhere else outside of some Eurozone countries.
Then there's Loverboy who sold over 40 million records world wide who appropriately named one of their albums Get Lucky. Let me preface what I'm about to type here even though I acknowledge & admit that each & every member of Loverboy is a very talented musician, singer & writer in their own right and collectively imo they're overrated. Just like tastes are subjective so are opinions so please don't come at me & criticize me or shout me down etc imo They- Got Lucky😢
👏👏
Wish Kim would have sung more
If your lady ever gets mad (she will)..play this
💃🚂🎵🎸🎻
when music was good.
I wish they still made music like this...the music we have today(if you want to call it music) is terrible !
Il porte le costume de passe-partout :-)
Lady
Woman
Chick
Broad
Girl
WHAT I REALLY REALLY WANT TO KNOW IS KIM BERLY STILL WITH THE LADY HE SINGS ABOUT IN THIS SONG???????? Is he?
As good as any band from the US at the time, but because they were Canadian they had success only in their own country.
It's a crying shame!
