I’m so glad the R6 finally started up! It’s been talked about for years but it’s good to see TransLink finally commit more funding to the big south of Fraser city. I’ll definitely be riding it soon (although I live at central I’ll take the long way from the R6 to R1 at Newton. Now the whole city is covered by a large somewhat circle of rapid transit!
@0:51 did they spray-paint blue over the “RapidBus” logo on the bus? 😂 And with the bus stops in the middle of the road, it reminds me of the early days of the 98 😭
One day when the RapidBus system was new, I had to take TWO of those buses. R4 and R3. From UBC to Maple Ridge. I had to take two Skytrains to connect them as well.
The reason why TransLink and King County Metro has the same types of services is because the CEO came from KCM! RapidRide in Seattle.....RapidBus in Vancouver.

I have used the one in Burnaby too. But never North Van or this one.
