All the machines in the laundromat represent everyone's "bagel", the drudgery of laundry and taxes. But did you notice the one machine was "Out of Order"? Yes, that was the one with Googly eyes on it!!!!
Evelyne recalled Racacoonie so when her mind fractured she went into all the possible universes and found the universe where the movie was true but a racoon. If she thought it was a rat she would have found the universe where it was a rat. This is really clever on several levels- embracing infinite possibility in chaos and entropy; and acknowledging quantum mechanics where the observers have a tendency to find what they're looking for where there are multiple possibilities.
I predict rocks with googly eyes glued to them are going to come back in a big way. So... full disclosure: I'm a lifelong Waymond, and even though Existence has done pretty much everything it can to stomp that out of me, I persist in my way of being. If anything, it's gotten stronger over time. My wife is very much an Evelyn, and her experiences as an immigrant (coming to America as a consequence of the Fall of Saigon) have hardened her outlook considerably. Watching this movie together was nothing less than revelatory and fully transformational.

My Review * Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Everything Everywhere All at Once is a movie about nothing. More precisely, nothing matters. * At first, I was not too fond of the movie. The “over-the-top” humor was too much for my sensibility. On the surface, it is a tired story about a dysfunctional multi-generational Chinese family in America. Underneath, it is about “nihilism” across the multiverse. * I notice more on each rewatch: (1) the set design, (2) the symbolism of circles everywhere, (3) the range of acting, and (4) the fight choreography. I realize that the over-the-top humor was intended to shock the viewers out of complacency and to think “outside the box.” * Michelle Yeoh, the lead actress, gave the performance of her life. Jamie Lee Curtis, a supporting actress, was hilarious. Stephanie Hsu, a supporting actress, gave a breakout performance. Ke Huy Quan, a supporting actor, gave an award-winning performance. Ke was the 12-year-old Chinese boy in Indiana Jones 2 but quit acting to be a stunt coordinator. * Everything Everywhere All at Once received 11 Oscar nominations, leading all films in 2022. * Everything Everywhere All at Once won 7 Oscars at the 95th Academy Awards.
First time on your channel, it’s cute. British Chinese accent ❤️❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. I’m planning to see it in theatres this week, a re-release week! I LOVE the WKW segment, IT FELT RIGHT, IT FELT WKW….
the movie was fantastic and touched me deeply. It captures so many aspects of growing up in CA with a chinese parents. The thing that touched me the most is the deep meditation on Buddhism.
I loved this discussion and I am obsessed with this film. Easily my favourite film of all time, and I don’t say that lightly. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen it, plus other people’s reaction videos on it.
Hokkien is a Chinese Dialect. The national main language in China is Mandarin. And the Chinese dialect are make up of different part/province of China. Cantonese in GuangZhou and what is generally spoken in HongKong too. These Teochew, Hockchew, Hakka, Hainanese...etc etc... I don't even know how many Chinese dialects are there.😂🤣

Waymond was originally written to play Michells part. When Jackie Chan declined the role as waymond they cast short round and flipped the two roles.
