  • This episode of the series “Folks” from February 19, 1989, is the third part of the “Pause for Pride” series celebrating Black History Month. It features a profile of sociologist and NAACP founder W.E.B. Du Bois, including an interview with his granddaughter Dr. Du Bois Williams, a professor of psychology at Xavier University. It also includes an interview with Edna Jordan-Smith, the founder of the Afro-Louisiana Historical and Genealogical Society, giving advice to African Americans on starting genealogical research.
