When I went to school, TH-cam didn't exist. This is my first time hearing DuBois' voice. Thank you.

I've studied DuBois & his works for years but this is my first time hearing his voice. DuBois cured my miseducation & woke me up at a very young age. Every Black American (with slave ancestry) should be taught the views of W.E.B. DuBois in adolesence.

This scholar understood that colonial underdevelopment in Africa precipitated anti-colonial struggle and the move toward African independence. The 5th Pan -African Congress at Manchester, England (1945) provided the revolutionary spark to defeat crude colonialism. With Kwame Nkrumah and Jomo Kenyatta as joint secretaries of the congress and DuBois in attendance as well. Two years later, Kwame Nkrumah would write a pamphlet called, "Toward Colonial Freedom" in 1947, that critically dissected european colonialism's systematic political and economic exploitation of Africa's natural resources. Dubois, accompanied by his wife Shirley Graham Dubois would live in the independent republic of Ghana by 1960 as officials to the Encyclopedia Africana project presided by Dubois himself.

I liked his ideology more than Booker T. Washington’s. Some may say that they are similar; however, I see the clear differences between both.

      His earlier ideology was..problematic. Lots
Of meritocracy. His latter ideology was more vastly different from the teachings he was indoctrinated in at Fisk.

+dallaskenn I would dearly love to hear the rest as well. I've searched and searched. I know it's there (it was given to the Southern California Chapter of Peace Crusade), even where (the Pacifica archives), but it has yet to find its way to the internet. You are welcome to do your own search and see what you come up with.
