A friend of mine had a green one with an automatic in the early 90’s. When the engine needed a rebuild it went to the scrapyard. Too bad it’s gone.

Convenience is the main reason car buyers prefer automatic transmissions to their manual counterparts.

It's used to lock and unlock the passenger side door.
My first car was the exact same but light blue paint and automatic transmission.
Love the sound of the 352

Nice wagon rare 3 on the tree

Oh, my! With that semi-automatic overdrive. Super, super rare. Learned to drive on exactly this, only 240 six. Super heavy clutch, brakes that don't brake and manual steering six turns lock to lock.

This would be a car to take out on mild days, unless you have air conditioning installed. 3 on the tree is rare on any mid 60s full-size car, overdrive even more so. The lady's uncle may have ordered it that way.

Is the wood stick a primitive cruise control? This is rare with a 3 on the tree. We had a 67 Fairlane Country Squire wagon.

We had a 1967 Fairlane 500 XL wagon with a 289 V8 and automatic. My dad bought it new. I remember the blue paint peeled off of the hood for some reason and he had to get it repainted.

@@althunder4269 We went to Drive Inn movies often and brought blankets to lay on on top of the car. The 2 things I remember most about the car was I like the Ford 67 steering wheel and it had an under dash ac unit that worked extremely well ✌️

If my memory serves me right, the bulk of these had Cruiseomatic.

Beautiful car. 3 on the tree and no a/c kills it for me. Engine seems to have a knock.

Noise sounds like it's coming out of that new alternator. Run the motor with no belts on to be sure.

0-60 in about a minute. Too big of a car for a manual column shifter. Without looking, I bet it’s a 352 2v. My older brother took his driving test with a ‘60 Country Squire 3spd manual on the column. Big heavy lumbering vehicle.

I'll bet this car is pretty snappy. Probably 250hp. Not bad for a grocery getter.

If a 2bbl then it's 250 HP. The 4bbl hi compression was 300 HP. With a standard trans this 352 is probably fun to drive.@@peggyseefeldt2638

No power brakes, single piston brake master cylinder, not too safe.

It's a car from 1965, this was the norm. Cars weren't as safe back then, it doesn't have 3 point seat belts either. it is still a very cool car & should drive very nicely & probably wouldn't be used as everyday transportation either. Somebody could always make it a restomod & add modern brakes, suspension & drivetrain. When I see comments like these it's obvious they're not really into classic cars & don't get it or are basicly just trolling.

@@seancannon2150 To be fair this car isn't very desirable for most collecters. Most want the cool rods, or the super cars that cost a fortune like the Lamborghini or whatever. I do agree with your post tho

Safety is relative. Don't drive like a jackass and pay attention and you'll be fine.
