Shouldn't it be PERCENTAGE OF BUDGET RELATIVE TO SALES? It's not exactly the % of Sales, but Budget compared to Sales. Thanks.

Yeah, this confused me a bit when I was watching the video. Appropriately, it's the percentage of marketing expenditure that resulted in Sales.

Marketing activities drives your business lifecycle. As if to say if you don’t have a paying customer you are not in business. As such, the marketing costs are relative to your sales #s from when you have a budget to driver other business functions (budget).
