    I franchised a travel system from an MLM company in the Philippines but focused on the selling tickets and tours than recruiting. And yes i built my own team and created my own marketing system and got my own leads. I made it into a full blown travel agency and set up an office and i get booking inquiries everyday. Im just so passionate about helping people to travel the world even on budget mode. I learned a lot of this video also. It made me realize im on the right track. Thank you Cyndi!!!! I just subscribed. Much love from the Philippines!

    The issue I have with any type if MLM is that the successful, hard working recruiters KNOW they are taking advantage of the newbies who most likely will not make it. Yes they work extremely hard and are incredible at selling and marketing their company but they very well know that the majority of people are going to fall for the exaggeration that they can be just like them. I am not okay with that type of business model. I just want to help people have great travel experiences and make a living doing so.

      These people have success because they put work into it to make it a success. Not willing to work or learn in any position will make you fail. The only person responsible for your failure is you. That is in any career.

      @@travel.with.reesplace8668 That's BS. There are loads of careers where you can be successful even if you don't have a large social media following and don't make loads of sales and don't sign up loads of people (sorry, I meant exploit) people under you.

    • @travel.with.reesplace8668

      @@goldsilvertravel please enlighten me on how exactly I am exploiting someone? Because in this business we are not asked to recruit anyone. If you decide to sign up that’s on you. Most people sign up and see all the discounts and don’t take the time to figure out how it works or put in the effort to take advantage. So because you lack the effort on how to do something you automatically label it a scam. Last time I checked big companies like Royal Caribbean and carnival cruise line and big Marriott hotels are normally not getting involved with scam companies.

      @@travel.with.reesplace8668 When you sign up for any company and pay $70 a month for a mentor, training, support, vendors, use of their IATA for bookings you expect to get that. $70 is a lot of money to most of us. Most people are not getting support from their mentor. Most people get ignored by their mentor and get very frustrated. This is a common theme from MLM host agencies. You get to where you feel like you are not learning anything because their 'training' is redundant. It is for new agents only because they are constantly signing more and more people up every day. There is no advanced training available. The website is useless because they tell you not to use the only tool that is on the website.
      To have new 'agents' signing up and recruiting people under them when they dont even know what they are doing themselves, how is that a good idea.? It is their business model and its a scam and this video here proves that.

    Thank you for this video posted on my birthday. What a gift. I have been paying an MLM travel company since 2012 and am represented in the stats that you've shown here just to have access to the CLIA number when I do plan trips. They don't really provide any real travel training or hand-holding on the travel side. They give you some videos to watch and cut you loose to plan people's vacations. I don't recruit at all and I was/am deflated, but still paying to use the CLIA number when I do plan the once or twice a year trips for random clients. Basically my hobby costs me $60 a month to earn a few hundred dollars a month for a website absolutely NO ONE visits. I can't really afford your program right now but I'll save up. Thanks again.

    I love your videos and use the great advice you give in my business.
    But I work with Archer Travel as my host Agency (MLM) which has given the credentials I needed, trainings, live meetings, and are really fun. I've been in it for about a month and its already paid for itself for a year. I get to write off all my travel as a business expense and I haven't put anyone under me yet. I do want to get a team together, but not to make more money, but to have an in-person team around me that I can work with. I have loved it so far. I don't understand how someone can make absolutely nothing, and would get into the travelling industry and not sell any travel. That's depressing, but I guess its all about motivation, time, and effort. I do it with three kids in the background and make it work.
    I would love to launch into those six figure digits though! I'd love the tips n tricks, but I'm going to ride with this for a little for trainings and certifications through all the vendors to make sure I know what I'm doing when I step out on my own.

My host agency’s has provided us all the tool necessary to jumpstart our travel career and follow up to boost your motivations and has help me for the past 4 yrs to gain my income within the travel business. Do MLM agencies have their pros and cons of course just like being independent does as well but the good MLM suffer with the bad due to the negative press around them as you have clearly revealed. How about showcase a more successful host agency to bring about fairness so ppl came see that MLM across the board is not a bad way to go. I made the best choice for me and it proved to be successful

    Funny, I have seen people making 6-7 figures with travel commissions and then on the mlm side they have made another 6-7 figures! Hmmmm so it is possible to make all that money! The difference between the top .01% and the bottom 99% is the hustle and consistency! So I would rather have the possibility of making that money than dismiss that possibility by letting this type of negative talk dictate my choices! If someone can make it, so can you!!! Depends on your work ethic and tenacity!!! It’s not for the weak!!

    • @cdwarren1971
      @cdwarren1971 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Campari Soda but you didn’t address the issue that you claimed in your video. It IS POSSIBLE for anyone to make the big big money! The problem is people are not willing to put forth the effort to make it. It’s not easy, it takes commitment and so many are promised lots of money quickly that they give up. If they are told the truth and then accept they have to do the work all the time....then they have that possibility, I think things would be seen differently. But by negatively bashing the MLM concept, you could be ruining someone’s chances of freedom. MLM is the lowest cost lowest risk way for someone to create a residual income that can create freedom.

    • @hoaartistrytravel9030
      @hoaartistrytravel9030 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 99% failure rate is similar to restaurants success rate in the first year as well but no one bashes opening restaurants and that costs $100k to start while an MLM cost pennies in comparison. So I agree, it’s not the MLM, it’s the person doing the work. If you work with a host agency that is not associated with a MLM, your success rate still remains the same if YOU aren’t willing to put in the work, build relationships, train on a professional level etc. You can choose to recruit or not recruit , but in business, you need to recruit clients for make a sell. Period. Business 101. The person can be your travel booking client or they can choose to own a business if it’s beneficial to them. Really, all sides should be considered based on facts not on opinions or opinions from failed attempts at MLM. It simply did not fit your work ethic or personality, but if it’s working for other successful reps, let them keep doing it and earn the money that they deserve just like people who book travel and are making millions in travel commissions through a host agency , who so happens to be partnered up with a MLM. Give them that stat.

It really does not make a difference how you entered the industry. There are some people that also enjoy offering the opportunity to others. If it's a reputable company and win for all parties, fine. If that is not for you, then pass. Wishing everyone success in your own particular journey.

      The income disclosure statement is STRICTLY the commissions and bonuses on sharing or selling travel agencies ONLY!! the information should be more accurate. A host agency has NOTHING to do with what they make as travel agents. Every company has a RECRUITING department like what this host is doing now while “educating “ you still essentially recruiting you into her program. Really same difference. You are given a business model with tools and support for success, at the end of the day, it’s still up to the individual to find the right fit based on their specific needs. Again, that statement has nothing to do with how much an agent has earned. This is biased info so be cautious. And a host agency is ALWAYS interested in helping you to GROW in your business. The suppliers are in partnerships with the host agencies, so THEY are the ones providing you free training opportunities for YOU to grow within your niche.

I plan on spending most of my time in South East Asia. I know I will run into other travelers and vlogers that could set up travel at a discount because they are all ways looking for this. I need a business where I can save 50% or more on travel plus give me the tax write offs. Should I start my own agency or join group?

      You actually don’t need an IATA Card to travel at a discount. I was part of a travel MLM, and I got amazing discounts without the card. And now I can get the same discounts as a travel agent WITHOUT being one, or having to book travel for other people.

    I understand why you made this video. But you didn't do all your research. The website you talked about where you got that one graphic doesn't show the one for which I am with. MLM pay everyone down that ugly ladder. The company I'm with does not do that. If you choose to recruit, you are only paid a part of those that you brought in and that's where it stops. My company also has a very strong support system for those that choose to only book travel, plus those that grow their business. Since you've been an agent for over 25 years, I'm sure you have heard of my host agency: Archer Travel. It's through Archer where I am able to get all that I need to do my travel business. As of this moment, Archer has over 300 vendors I can tap into. Now Evolution Travel is the business side. Evolution hasn't really be around for that long, but has made a great business for us that want to go in that direction. So please, if you ever do another video on this topic (an updated one), please do more research. MLM's are actually illegal and that is why Evolution's business model stays away from it.

      Hello. Please do your research.MLM are not illegal. It’s if you set a business up that doesn’t have a product and collect money for recruits, paying the up line and don’t set up properly for compensation for the down line. If MLMs were illegal then Mary Kay wouldn’t be in existence. Shalom

    again more great info! thanks again. trying to figure out if becoming an agent would fit with what I do, my show etc. would like to see about it as a part time thing to go along with the show? been approached by several of the MLM companies. I have had experience with MLM in different industries and not really interested in that. I can see the draw with the override Passive income part. but not really passive, still a lot of work. :-)

      Hi Shannon,
      We do not have a list of "stay away" but we do have a vetted vendor/supplier list in our program!

      If they do 'team building' or recruiting then stay away from them. Why does a travel agency promote you for how many people you recruit and not how much travel you sale?
