Dude, I just picked up a Tesla model 3 rental, and I didn’t notice this until I was at the charging station. Your simple explanation on how to fix it were extremely valuable to me. Thank you!

Thank you so much for doing this video, what a huge help. I had a gap that was driving me crazy that I thought I was going to have to live with and this fixed it. Saved me a trip to the SC (out of warranty too).

Thank you for this video! This gap appeared after my trunk closed on some luggage. Now I know how to fix it. Thank you very much!

It worked. Thank you for your video.
Lessons learnt is that never force close the liftgate, which was tempting when the trunck is so full. But this can cause the gap to widen or misalignment between the two sides. Oh boy, the material Tesla uses is so thin.

Two bolts undo, adjust, two bolts tighten. If you cant figure that out i recommend getting someone else to do it for you...

A suggestion, put some painters tape around the bracket, so you have the original position, should it all go wrong.

This video saved me $$ on a Tesla mobile service appointment. Thank you.
This was much simpler than I thought it would be, just need a decent socket wrench.

do you loosen both sides at the same time? or just loosen one side and adjust ? and then do it do the other side?
