For sure the guitar instrumentals with all the gtr greats....and the Phil Upchurch...never heard of him but playing with Curtis Mayfield...wow...the man's gotta have the goods!! And those covers...whew!!! doesn't get any better than that!! I'll certainly be on the lookout for that one in 2024!...thanks for showcasing and have a happy and prosperous New Year!!

Great finds for sure. Garage sales in my neck of the woods have mostly junk. Far too many record collectors and the community keeps growing. My fluke finds was on a country drive. Followed an antique sign and not knowing it was
almost closing time. Antiques yes and tables with hundreds of crates of great low priced records. Only time to get about thirty records. Inquired for next year and yes even more crates. Now to start saving money. Haven't been inside a record store for about twelve years.

Usually I find that Antique stores are horribly overpriced and they price old, beat up records just like an antique- overpriced! You had a very good year with those albums for a cheap price Chris. Good to see MSG and Joe Walsh. And April Wine, a very overlooked band. It seems nowadays it's becoming rarer to find good albums for cheap prices so you did well.
It’s definitely getting harder. I like to think that I am the only one in my area searching the thrift stores for discount vinyl, but I know it’s not true. There are lots of collectors in my area and it’s only growing. Vinyl is getting more popular so there is more competition. I guess it makes the good finds that much sweeter when you do find them.
Love all the EOY content!! When you say the April Wine album isn’t in great condition, does that mean it skips? Or is it just not as crisp as others? 😂if it’s on the Q on a long weekend, it’s April Wine 😂
No if the album skipped then I wouldn’t even hold on to it. Right in the trash. It’s got some surface scuffs that you can hear when you play it- just some hisses and crackles.
