  • Part 5 I jump right into fixing my first attempt at a I beam pivot setup, I was very rushed and did not have enough time to finish my first design which I’m glad about. I wouldn’t have built this beautiful bearing setup if it didn’t bend. And let me tell you I have put musty through some crazy crap since this mod and it’s still as “tight” as the day I built it and installed er’.
I also had some issues with my carburetor on one of our mowin adventures! As you seen in the video my carburetor just quite. Very glad that we stock pile parts for days like this, was able to grab a upgraded carb and install it, with Minimal adjustment had musty running beautifully!
Stoked with how well my new front axle works and how more responsive this 19.5hp feels!
    Thanks everyone

have you tried suspension on the front instead of the pivot arm?

Need a solid front end? You need to make a Y beam that supports front axle, imagine having those bearings 2ft apart... not like 2 inches...
That little extra beam and ball joint in the end of it will fix that problem forever and it will have ZERO play even with the crappiest worn out components.
I built a mower that goes at around 40mph and is still stable at high speed just because of that little beam and ball joint, gives you sharp and responsive steering

So does the front end just pivot? Have you experimented with some suspension? Might make that beast even better
