    I had Covid in December was in the hospital. Was on high flow oxygen. So much stress on my body. It was crazy. Came home still on high flow oxygen for like a month went to my primary. Started trying to take care of my hair. Used some fenugreek spray took out my twist and boom. Had a whole person come out of my head. This went on for like...what's this month...LoL. Anyway I have thin edges and my center has broken off. At first I was angry as hell. I just wanted to scream and then I was like you know what. I'm thankful I didn't die in that dang hospital. I workout, I eat clean and I'm trying to live my best life and not focus on what's going on with this hair. Right now just getting my health under control is my main focus. I have a 4 year old that needs me more. I hope everything works out for the all of you that are struggling with this as well as myself. Praying for us all.🥰

    I had COVID-19 on January. I was hospitalized for 13 days. I was sent home with home oxygen and got off in March. Right away my hair started to fall off in clumps for 4 months. My hair now just start to grow back. I had watched every videos about hair loss.😞
    Went to 2 dermatologist. They all told me there’s nothing you can do. I’m just glad I’m alive and well…..still recovering. Loved your video.😊

    I got Covid the first week of May of this year, and was down for 4 weeks, then took another 3-4 to finally feel normal….about 3 weeks ago I noticed I was shedding more then usual. Last week I noticed I could finger comb through my hair and would constantly have hair fall. Just the other day when I was washing my hair there was the biggest hair clump I’ve ever seen in my life. I freaked out and cried. I remembered my cousin mentioning her hair loss when she had Covid too. I’m gonna try biotin vitamins and topical serum. I’m trying to stay hopeful. Thank you for sharing your journey

    I'm a 51 year old Covid 19 survivor, and this exact them happened to me. OMG, I thought the same, that I had protein overload. So, I tackled it with oil prepoos and deep conditioning with a 1:1 mixture of protein and moisturizing conditioner. While I can see I've lost so much hair, it's not coming out it anymore. I'm so grateful to God for not letting it all fall out. I'm glad you're doing better.

    Thank you for opening up about this! I just recently started being honest about my hair loss. I've had my hair in a bun for so long it basically became my identity. I finally threw my hair ties away. The bun only made it worse for my edges and sides. We always say " it's just hair" but is it JUST hair? It messes with our self esteem. When you try to hide it and sweep it under the rug by ignoring it, is when it affects you negatively. Now that I am honest about it to myself I feel as if a weight has lifted off of me. I commend you for your bravery.

    Your video made me feel so much better. I was on the brink of having another mental breakdown after noticing how scarce my hair is over my hairline. I was also told I have Telogen Effluvium and really got worse after University it was at its peak last year but it still is getting worse. I can see some hair growth with short hairs everywhere but it is no longer the hair I had. I have a actually a number of female friends with hair loss and now I'm seeing its more common than we think. Whenever I'm close to breaking down I think I'll just come back to this video as reference

    Thank you for sharing. I had covid in October, was hospitalized for over a week. Discharged, went home still on oxygen. Couldn't walk, began hobbling, got sinusitis. Accompanied by massive headaches and toothaches, my body would feel so numb from the medication I was on. But my headaches and toothaches began slowing download last week however. The hair loss began. Every time I brush or wash my hair, I'd end up with a huge ball of hair resembling a small dead animal. Others don't notice it but it feels like I've lost 50% as well. Ive already made peace with the fact I may be wearing scarves for a year. Because I tell myself it's just hair and be glad your alive. Girl, I could so 100% relate when you showed that shower picture with the hair on the wall, that is totally me. I would take weekly pics of my hair every time I would wash it to see if it was a bigger or lesser clump. This happened to me but very gradually and then bam it was just huge clumps just sliding out of my head. I still have not recovered and the minoxidil made my hair so dry and not really sure if it helped but I didn't use it long enough probably. I've had many stressors in my life and also did the keto diet so don't know which one it came from. Keep us updated I appreciate your story. Good luck with medical school and studying.

      @@oliviamaddix5541 it’s actually slowing down quite a bit with the fall out. I’m going to get it cut this weekend but then leave it alone since it seems to be stopping. (Hopefully!)
      I bought Harklikken hair products and that seemed to help a LOT. My fall out difference is major and I’ve only used it for about 2 weeks now. So in case anyone is struggling with it still, this is definitely helping. Also taking beef liver capsules from New Zealand(grass fed beef) and a good biotin. Also my vitamin D levels are low, so I’m taking medical grade Vit d.

    WOWWW, I got sick back in March (2021) too, though my COVID tests have all been positive. But I just saw my dermatologist yesterday and they diagnosed me with TE, too. All of my bloodwork is fine, and all attempts to resolve it haven't worked. My doc prescribed me minoxidil, but I wonder if I could get cortisone shots, too. I haven't started the minoxidil yet, so I'm already getting ahead of myself lol, but hm. I'm a bit wishy-washy. From what I understand, it has to be a daily application. And you gotta wash your hair every day, whichhh I'm not a fan of, but not doing that can cause contact dermatitis for some people, which sounds awful. But I also feel super distressed about the hair loss, so I kinda have to dive in and hope for the best, it seems. I too am taking biotin, and collagen, and I have a shampoo / conditioner from 'Hair Growth Co,' though my doc prescribed me a prescription shampoo. Do you know if facial hair is inevitable for all minoxidil patients?? My derm mentioned it as a possibility, but I haven't fully deep-dived yet, so I'm not entirely informed about all of the things yet. ALSO, I already booked myself a haircut to chop my hair, too. So glad you're sharing about your journey!!! Thank you!

I would always see other girls my age that wasn’t “balding” like I was and kept being told it will grow back. My hair was always thin but it has gotten so much worst that when I get out of the shower you can see my scalp when my hair is wet. Last December I got Covid and my temples and entire front area is getting worst and getting pushed back more. I have curly hair and now u can see through my hair because Covid accelerated it worst. I went to a dermatologist and of course she said stress and she told me to try rogain for women. Worst mistake ever!!!! My hair fell out WORST then ever in my life and even loosing hair in parts that were fine. I cried every time i showered because the amount of HUGE GIGANTIC hair clumps that came out. I know hair is suppose to fall out using rogain but it made my hair WORST then it before I used it. I couldn’t wear my hair down curly like I always have because I looked horrible and couldn’t put my hair up because it was so thin. I started with shopping because it was that severe. Fast forward to today and my hair grew back a tiny bit but it is still very thin and I have a bad M shaped hairline in the front. I have a big forehead naturally but It looks way bigger because my hair line continues to get pushed back. I’m going back to being a police officer after being a stay at home mom and my job requires me to wear my hair up even though putting your hair up tight makes it worst. @GeidilyBeaton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      for the prior volume, I honestly cant say -- all I can say is that hair grows slow - we need as much patience as you can have as hair cycles are about 6 months and every hair is at a different stage. I'm not sure how long it'll be for it to get to what it was before, im just happy it isnt falling as drastically.

My hair started to fall out started last week its March. Just like yours as you shown in pics. I do have thyroid issues but controlled. I am so sorry you are experiencing this as well. Try your best to have some stress relief and just give it time as your body experienced such shock. I would say time and a little scalp nurturing with oils and other things should restore your hair as long as the thyroid is under control. I did a video on restoring hair with rosemary oil as it is an alternative to drugs, maybe try and see if that would help, it has definitely helped me restore my hair line. Best of luck to you!

    Well my hair has been stuck in Telogen Effluvium for at least 10 years now, it all started right after I had my first child, It really didn't bother me much at first since I had loads and loads of hair 3b pattern, so it was like a break for me not to have to deal with so much hair at first, but after 2 years I started to really worry, once my scalp itched and I went to scratch it, normally I had to dig my nail in there, sonI went to scratch and It hurted, like my nail went right through, I was oh no, this is bad, long story short, I'm pretty sure I have lost at least 60 to 70% of my hair

  • @chitaylor2775
    @chitaylor2775 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    She's not lying about 50% of your hair falls out, however I feel 60% of mine fell out but I still have enough there my hair can cover the missing hair. I had covid really bad in June 2021 I was in ICU for 4 weeks it was the worst. In November 20201 my hair just started shedding like horribly. Hair was falling out everywhere. I thought I had protein overload because I did a protein treatment a couple days before it started falling out. But now seeing her hair I know it was from covid. I used Kenra platinum deep detox scrub shampoo that I had stashed in my hair bin, and my hair stopped falling out. I also used Carols Daughter Goddess strength fortifying conditioner and no hair came out. I was tripping but happy that it stopped. Whoever is going through this please try these products.

I thought I wouldn’t be able to make it. luckily i did and i m so thankful to god for that. But recently its only been a week or so i have started losing my hair like hell!! I too have curly hair and even when i run down my fingers through my hair it falls so much to the point i cry. I had read somewhere that it could be due to post covid side effects. And i really think it is. I m still losing a lot lot hair and can’t find any remedies to it. At this point i m afraid m gonna be bald.

      thank you for sharing your story. This is tragic - I'm just glad you made it through. COVID has wrecked havoc on people and the sequelae or after effects are evident. I hope somehow you are able to find a cure - keep taking multivitamins, exercise, eat healthier, sleep well and try rosemary oil if you are up for it. Those are the main things I can recommend... I wish I had a definitive cure or formula to be able to fix this - but the truth is I don't and I'm just trying different things and being positive.
