He apparently wasn't helping. I didn't have faith in Brian Johnson but the reporting seems to indicate that Hurts broke apart the offense in the collapse.

As an Eagles fan, I feel sick. Our coaching just got so so so bad. The fact that we went 10-1 with it is truly a testament to Jalen Hurts and this receiving group. The coaches failed us all.
back when we didnt screen on 3rd and 20 and ran it with swift on 3rd and 2 and dont punt every 4th down and possibly go for it, we went 10-1

No can't see what was happening. All of your big pass plays were on the sidelines. You were to predictable. Your OC was having hard time dialing up plays over the middle of the field. That why head coach Kyle Shanahan like to call play over the middle of field to his tighten. Just spread the defensive out.

Hurts is still a great player, still one of the best QBs in the league. The loss of Shane Steichen really hurt the offense, though. Intrigued to see how the Eagles respond next season especially without Jason Kelce. Jalen will be back 🫡

I remember Hurts from his combine, where Steve Mariucci challenged Hurts to draw the play Mariucci had just shown him, and Hurts draws the play perfectly, even adding a few insights of his own.
Jalen Hurts is still one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He finished the season with 3,858 yards, 23 touchdowns and 15 interceptions

As a cowboy fan I’m not a Eagles fan at all but I will admit tho Jalen Hurts is the real deal I think what happened to him this year is that they got away from what he does best and that’s running with the football he’s never going to be a traditional step back drop back passer what made him dynamic in the first place and in college was using his legs just as much as his arm run this guy 5 or 10 times a game that was the biggest hole in his game even though he set the record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback
Logical and knows ball this coming from an eagles fan , the staff just completely forgot how to use them this year, but I think him being injured with that knee for the huge factor because he was nowhere near dynamic with his legs this year like he was last year and even the year prior

I look at moments like this and realize how much the coaching/scheme hindered Hurts this season. Minus the turnovers, I think he has played very well this season. I think under a new coordinator, he is going to have a crazy bounce back year next season!

Hurts is still physically the strongest QB in the NFL. You almost never have to worry about a 3rd and short... most of the time, dont have to worry about 4th and short. He can squat like 600 pounds. That is a strong back and strong legs.

Despite it being a “down year” you see Jalen make some special throws and some great plays with his legs. The offense was kind of off all year, they always seemed to get off to slow starts.

Jalen Hurts is a elite franchise QB and we need a better staff from headcoach like Ben Johnson as our new headcoach and hire new offense and defense coordinators who are creative and will lean on the players advice for certain plays and aggressive and innovative and players type of coaches!
