I prefer eating fresh pineapple rather than making it into bottled water, but everyone's needs are probably different than mine, so the fruit bottling factory is growing more and more.

My late mother bought tons of pineapple when we were kids. It was cheap in the US then. Both fresh and Dole brand Hawaiian juice in 46-ounce cans. For hot weather, iced drinking by the clear glass pitcher-full and making the fabulous homemade pineapple ice cream everyone begged for. She also bought Dole's canned sliced and crushed pineapple for pineapple upside-down cakes and baked hams. We loved eating cores cut out of the fresh fruit as well.
Now all of that is crazy-expensive and difficult to find here. Sadly, we literally never get pineapple any more. No ripe fresh ones in supermarkets. Just small, pricey green things that rot before they ripen. Dole brand is never seen here any more.

I met this one guy in British Columbia, Canada. He always had a better story than what I told, one day he told me he broke his arm falling out from a pineapple tree.
I sat there and asked "really, YOU fell out a pineapple tree?!?!" and he got really, really mad at me and said "are you calling me a liar?" and I said "no, no, but how high did you climb up before you fell out?" and looked at me and said "the top!"... and I couldn't hold it in anymore and told him pineapple only grow about 3 feet off the ground and he could not climb onto a pineapple "tree" and got mad at me and walked away from me

@@sugandhasingh2357 nope, he said pineapple tree. Most people think pineapple grow in a tree, when you correct them, they will be mad. No matter what you do, somebody has to be right and be mad, understand is where you get to know what people are willing to learn.

I have always found that pines are picked green and sometimes turn a bit yellow but once picked the taste never changes. It is an acidic taste.
We grow pines for fun and always let them turn yellow and then a bit bronze on the plant.
