@@NotAMechanic-LB It went well! I decided to paint all the A B C pillars and plastic trim at the same time whilst it was out so took a little longer, roof looks much better, thank you, great channel.
@@cmac329 nice man! Yeah it took me a long time to find the pillar trims in black, I still have the rear view mirror, the alarm sensor and the boot trim in grey which I will sort when I can find the parts! Much appreciated 🙏🏼
How long to get the headliner out, clean it off, adhere new fabric and get it back in again? Upholsterer wants £350, for £350 is it worth the hassle doing it yourself?
Personally it took me 2 days, I ended up removing the headliner and cleaning it in one day and then the next day, apply the new fabric and re-installing it! Depends if you want it absolutely perfect, mine has come out spot on with a few very minor issues but it’s not too bad especially if you can get someone to help!
@@NotAMechanic-LB Hi Liam, I take it you don't mean 2 whole days? So the question is, if you had the money, for £350 would you just pay someone else to do it professionally or would you still do it yourself? I am tempted to do it myself but if it's going to take many hours then I don't think I'll bother. On another vid they reckon hour to take it out, hour to fit the new lining, hour to put it back in, would you say it would take a lot longer? Thanks, from fellow carrot cruncher!
@@SonnyNorfolk no not two whole days, more like 2/3 hours each day mainly because of the weather when I was doing it, it completely depends how quick you are, I was recording it and making content so it took longer but it’s not a bad job! I would say it’s worth doing it if you enjoy getting your hands dirty!
Thanks for this video, I am just about to start glueing down the new material but I wanted to rewatch this first! Thanks for the inspiration :)
you're very welcome! I hope it helped you get the job done! how did you find it?
