I used to drink starting around 11 am before I quit. 6-7 days a week. I can see that she was going through the same shit. I don’t mind buying a stranger a drink but I know she needs food with our donations more than that cheap bottle of wine ❤

Its energy. When you are poor, you look for the highest cal for the lowest price.
It is indeed a blessing and a wonderful start. Those families and people are struggling, some sweets and 'junk food' may not be the best quality food, but it gives them hope that someone is there helping them and that they can choose what they want to eat probably for a long time, if not for the first time.
