Finally someone acknowledges our suffering. Another thing is that when prices drop sharply in U.S during offers and the card getting obsolete. Here it won't go down, it will sell for the same price it launched till 3-4yrs, after which price skyrockets and then it vanishes. Used market is even more sketchier.

Did you take into account the average sales tax for Canada? Apologies if you did and missed it somehow.
But, here goes: Some provinces can have around 15% sales tax plus the eco friendly tax (recycling/e-waste purposes).
With the taxes and prices based on the US dollar and the exchange rate that comes with it, things can get high when we compare parts with them.
They voted for those taxes. Not the manufacturer's problem imo
I would like to see a balkan region like Romania for example prices because we don't have amazon here and still have at least 100$ more at anything you can find online
Almost everything is more expensive in Romania than in US. Electronics, Gasoline, and now Food too.
Thank NATO for it all. If the country never joined, at least prices on food would stay low.
But one positive is cheap internet in Romania. Here in US I pay $55 for 250-300mbps internet unlimited data. My parents pay $25 for 75mbps with limit to 1TB a month.
In Romania last time I was there it was crazy fast for just about $10 and unlimited which is cheap.
I'll try to come back to Romania when I retire and try to revitalize the economy a bit...maybe run for office 🤷♂️

I've just bought a GPU as there wasn't much of price difference over the time I have been looking. At some point you have to buy if you want a pc, so I bought the best 16GB I could. This was a Powercolor Red Dragon RX 6800 XT at £508 (inlc 20% VAT and delivery). It was more expensive on Amazon and there's an issue you haven't mentioned to consider.
If you buy from an overseas retailer you may not have a warranty or RMA for that product. In the UK that applied to every pc part I have bought and is a reason I don't buy much from Amazon.
The difference with tips in the US is that the server only makes half of minimum wage so like $4.5 per hour. My wife has been a server for 20 years and she makes like $5.5 per hour because she is the head server that trains, makes schedule, assign sections/jobs, etc... So please remember that when tipping your server. I did enjoy the video, have a great one. I live in Cincinnati and have family in the hills of Kentucky where there is almost a different language. There are many different dialects here in the US depending on where the original immigrants were from, IMO. Like the accent in the Minnesota and Wisconsion are where many northern Europeans settled, and the hills of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky was a lot of Irish and Scots. The mountains are beautiful and have some of the most hospitable and hardworking people. I suggest a visit to the Mountain State (West Virgina).
NHS just like any other socialized medical system are all still "for profit". They just generate their revenue from it's funding source which is the government who pays it from taxes collected. Afterall, they are business with real bills and real salaries to pay which cannot operate without and income stream. Being frank; countries with socialized medical systems tend to have higher cost of living then countries that don't. I grew up in Canada and my income tax here in the state is nearly 70% cheaper then it was in Canada

I just ordered my friend from canada all the parts for their pc as a gift and had a friend of them build the system. It came as a surprise all the prices listen were before tax. 😪

i have no idea how you're getting these numbers, I've only checked Canada since i live here. by your own chart with the CAD->USD conversion, $1574.99 for the 4090 is not 7% cheaper than $1599.99 it's not even cheaper by 2%.

I wouldn't mind selling my old 3090 or 4090 to a non-NA country. Barely used, I could sell them much cheaper than sold in store outside of NA but higher than I would sell them in NA.
But then eBay will add its sale %%% and I will lose $300 on a $1700 sale. Then there's the import fees the buyer would have to pay, which they don't wanna do since it would be steep on any GPU. Not to mention, I could only sell a GPU with shipping by a proper company like a UPS or Fedex, but people outside of NA don't wanna go that route since it would add extra $100s on a GPU. I'm not sending an expensive piece of electronics by federal post service, it will get lost %100.
If it's a sale to UK. As the buyer would be responsible for the shipping you would need to declare the price for the import fees to be applied. If you state a price below £135 GBP then there is no fees added. This is the limit set by HMRC (His Majesty's Revenue and Customs). That's just info for you to know where to look. I'm uncertain if a used product would require VAT, nor what the import fees are above the £135 GBP threshold is. I do know that 2 sticks of RAM totalling ~£175 had an additional £90 GBP added in fees. I cancelled the sale.

Yay i'm in the Philippines and all our PC parts are marked up. But for GPU's you can easily expect a 30% mark up. Those $1000 7900xtx cost $1300 here ! Also our prices even on older models take forever to come down.
Also in your list Philippines comes ahead of Australia but you left us out, why ???

You should have compared pricing without taxes for all countries. These countries voted on those taxes and that money doesnt go to the manufacturer who sets the price. Should nvidia sell their card for 10% cheaper because those poor chaps voted for a higher tax rate? Tuned out as soon as i saw you try to guess median tax rates

But in general we just refer to that with "Mörser". Or at least in my Region.
Ok, so Germany isn’t so bad. But they have the best prices in EU. For example most of the stuff in Slovenia is 20-40% more expensive 🤦🏻♂️
There's no such thing as tip culture in anything other than the food service industry. What are you talking about? Add approximately 10% to the list price in the USA AND THATS IT.
That hasn't been my experience. Moving house, self service situations, beer vs mixed drink at a bar, hundreds of different types of "personal services" when speaking to my wife... Restaurants have the biggest difference. But tip culture outside restaurants is very much a thing in the US and the etiquette seems to be quite loosely defined a lot of the time.
But again, I want to highlight... these are just my personal observations 🙂
@TechLens serving in the armed forces around the world and in the US and construction and mfg since then I have not had that experience myself. I'm not a tight ass either...lol. I will say that I have given money to many people who have gone above their job or gave me an unexpected hand but I don't consider that a tip. I will admit that's times have changed and maybe I'm out of the loop? I do believe the tip culture today creates a great deal of animosity on all sides and is best left to reddit and twitterphere.....lol. all the best, take care.

On medical... I don't care where you are in the world: You Get What You Pay For. Pretending otherwise for almost any service is for fools.
If you have a major medical issue - yes, it might be cheaper in Canada/UK - and, No, you will not get the same level of care, not even close. People from around the world come to the USA for treatment. There is a reason why.

Americans can buy Arc a750 for 189 dollars right now.. that's absolutely insane, in canada arc a770 went on sale for 438 dollars, with tax it's 490 dollars
