Just for anyone actually thinking about buying one of these 2 bats, in my opinion, and the opinion of a good portion of my college team that I used to play for, the $30 Louisville slugger is one of the best feeling wood bats I've ever used. With that being said, the thing breaks so freaking easily. I had a $130 Louisville slugger that I still have, but I went through 7 of those $30 bats in like 5 months. And it's not like I was getting jammed or hitting them off the end either. I think 3 of them I hit straight off the barrel real solid and the barrel litteraly split in half.

The "power" of the bat may not be related to the price but to the fact you're using two different types of wood. The Louisville Slugger is made out of ASH and the Marucci is made out of MAPLE, which is a harder less flexible kind of wood(due to its closer grains); therefore providing more "pop"

I would like to have seen the wood types to be the same. The bat didn't have more pop because it was expensive, it had more pop because it was maple while the other was ash. So again, I had the same curiosity about price of bats and the actual difference but that gets lots when the bats are different types.

If you are going to compare a "Cheap" bat to an "expensive" bat. They should both be the same model and the same type of wood. To make a comparison to a Louisville Slugger Genuine Ash(271 model) and compare it to a Maple AP5 is basically comparing apples to orange and cats to dogs. Literally the only comparison is that they are both made of wood and they are used to hit a ball.

OK so weird question. (Know this is an old video idc).
So I'm from Ireland and I'm starting to play. (Yes baseball is played in Ireland) I'm looking for a bat but I have Hypotonia... (low muscle tone) so I'm a little worried about what bat to use. In terms of wood I know I would be using Ash but I need recommendations on Drop and size as a result. I can't sadly try them because baseball equipment is very limited in Ireland.
If anyone has any ideas, could you reply? Thanks!

You were also comparing ash to Maple which has a different feel. If you could do cheap ash on ash or maple on maple it would be a better comparison

What speed is he hitting at,he could be hitting 50 or 60 and saying that the 30 is a great bat but in a real game situation it could brake in like 2 hits
