My neighbor was the bnsf superintendent in Lafayette, La along the old sunset route. He brought me ride the BNSF geometry train from New Orleans to Lafayette several times. The last car was all glass facing rear with stadium style seating. It also had a horn & rear lights for backing across intersections. Good times.

Is the track the local operates on FRA excepted track? That would explain the caboose.
That's a good question. I'm not too sure. I know that it's an old ATSF industrial line that is used only by BNSF.
